The chalet is new, modern and has very big windows. And it is located 25 meters from the slope. The area is huge, 410 km of slopes. In the summer zoo can make fantastic trekking tours.

Beautiful, well-designed chalet, spectacular view.
We loved our stay at the chalet. Our family came for a long weekend to enjoy some summer hiking and stargazing. The view from the chalet is spectacular and the surroundings so peaceful and relaxing. At times, we found it hard to leave the loungers on the deck and wanted to just sit and enjoy. The chalet is very well designed with many places to gather and socialize and an equal number of places to find a bit of personal space if needed. The beds were very comfortable with fluffy duvets and down pillows (we took note of the brand so we can buy them for our new flat!). The kitchen was well equipped and we prepared almost all of our meals at the house, although there are a number of nice, small cafes in the towns below. The owner also suggested hikes and walks to different restaurants as well.
While we were there in the summer, the house would be amazing in winter too as its ski-in, ski-out location would be perfect for avid skiers as well as for anyone who would rather stay and hang out and relax.
I think my daughter said it best..."Coming up the stairs to that view just never gets old. It takes your breath away every time." Yes, it does.

Great chalet for ski in/out, perfect for families
Wonderful chalet - ski in/ski out directly to the lift. With the new lift it will be even more efficient. The view from the chalet is marvellous and we enjoyed the large area and the splendid weather. The chalet is perfectly equipped – modern and luxurious with comfortable beds. Our two families really appreciated the surroundings. Actually we consider coming back in December for Christmas this year. Thanks again for a lovely week, hope to be back in December.

Beautiful Chalet, No ski-out
The contact with the owners before arrival was great. The service at the agency at Les Masses is perfect. The 'Arc en Ciel' is very modern and looks great. A lot of glass and the bedrooms and beds are good. A few things were ok, but not perfect. The description says (March 2013) that there are 4 rooms and that it is a ski-in ski-out situation. At the lowest level in the chalet there are 3 rooms (with a door you can close). In the top-floor there is the Mezzanine. There is a huge glass-wall with curtains in front, with a double bed, but there is no door. I don't consider this not as a room as it is completely in contact with the living-and kitchen area. It is not that bad if you know it and you don't care about privacy too much. Also on the mezzanine-area there is a red sofa which can be transformed as two beds. We stayed in the Chalet with 8 adults and 2 children. The kitchen-equipment (pans/ bowls etc. might be a bit poor for 10 people.) Just below the Chalet there is a slope. When you get down at the slope there is a lift, but is is out of order until April 2014. To go up again there is a shuttle bus that goes up and down every half an hour, but when it is full with people it doesn't take you up and you have to wait until the next. That was not that nice. Acceptable though. Conclusion: A great Chalet, a very nice holiday, but some less attractive details.
We are always happy when our guests take the time to comment and review our chalet and we are pleased to hear that our guests find the chalet great and that they have had a wonderful vacation.
We have checked with regards to the lift and the new lift will be ready for the next skiing season starting December 2013. The old lift is being replaced with a new bigger lift in order to get people faster up into the area.
The Chalet is build of a well known Architect, modern and very light. It is very well equipped with high end furniture, for instance Arne Jacobsen, High quality china, high quality pans, beds etc. We have rented out for 3 years, since the Chalet was build, and everybody have been very impressed and normally our guests find the kitchen ware and the equipment in the chalet first class and very sufficient so we are very surprised to hear about the less attractive details.
The mezzanine room is made to be light and welcoming by the architect and nobody have had any complains about not being able to lock a door and we have pictures off the room in our add. We will consider making a lockable door.
We are very focused on having satisfied guests and usually also have an email dialogue with our guests before they book in order to answer any question they might have. We have furnished our chalet with love and love to use it ourselves and when sharing with guests we wish for them to also have a wonderful experience in Arc en Ciel.

Einen wunderbarer Urlaub in einem schönen Chalet in traumhafter Lage. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt. Es fehlt an nichts. In der Nachsaison im Skigebiet Les Collons ist es sehr ruhig und erholsam. Den Frühling in den Schweizer Alpen zu erleben, war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Das Chalet empfehlen wir gern weiter. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Luxus-Chalet (6 rooms) with Mountain panorama, view at Matterhorn and the Chalet is Ski in- Ski out. Architect furniture and everything is high standard, Bose Sound Dock etc. Floor-heating and very high standard beds of cause. One of the biggest skiing areas in Switzerland (from Thyon to Verbier), 420 km of slopes, Green to Black, and one of the best areas for Off Piste skiing. Garage and 2 outdoor parking lots. One hour drive from Montreux with Riviera and Beach. In the summer it is perfect for trekking and mountain biking. Tennis and Golf close by
From the chalet there is a vieuw at Matterhorn and lots of attractions in the neighbourhood.

Summer guests in Les Collons can expect a wide range of activities. Enjoy the fresh alpine air and enjoy the huge hiking area with very well marked hiking tours. There are also many mountain bike routes. Two descents begin at the top station of the Etherolla chair lift, connecting up in Thyon 2000 with a third route taking bikers from Thyon to Les Collons or Veysonnaz. Like in many places in the Valais, in Les Collons you can walk with no great differences in altitude along the 'Suonen' (historic irrigation channels).
For a change, you can also go riding, climbing, paragliding or bowling. Also worth a visit are Valais’ capital Sion for a shopping trip or a gourmet meal out and the underground lake near St-Léonard (situated between Sion and Sierre). Also you can play golf in Sion (~17 kilometers from the chalet) or you can visit Montreaux Riviera or Beach, which is just one hours drive. And don't miss the Grande Dixence dam in the Val d'Hérémence – at 285 metres the highest dam in the world. Guided tours inside the dam wall.
Ski: Ski in - Ski out Chalet!!!
The ski area goes from Les Collons in the southern part of Quatre Vallées to Verbier in the north. All levels from Green to Black. And in Thyon Les Collons there is a very good skiing school. 410 km of alpine slopes, plus off piste opportunities, 95 ski lifts, biggest Swiss ski area. New high speed chair lift 'Ethérolla'. Huge snowparc 'Centralpark' at Thyon. Attractive sledge run between Thyon and Les Collons. Ice rink in Hérémence.
A red -intermediate- ski slope passes at the chalet. This slope leads towards the chair lift of Les Masses, which is part of the ski area Les Collons/Les Masses - 4 Vallées - Verbier. To ski back to the chalet just take this red slope.
