About Audrey Curry

Lucas and Geneva: (Photo above) Our Dad did not buy this house, he designed and built it in 2003. Our family has lived in Santa Fe for a long time, we were born here and think it is just beautiful.

Santa Fe has beautiful lush mountains and amazing desert. We love to ski in the winter at the Santa Fe Ski Basin and the summers are so pretty here. Our Parents (Tim and Audrey) manage the rentals themselves, they do not hire a management service that would charge additional fees. Dad is a designer/builder and Mom (Audrey) is a Realtor. Santa Fe is such a beautiful town, we think you will really love it here.

Audrey Curry purchased this house in 2003

Why Audrey Curry chose Downtown

This house is located so close to the Historic Plaza and the Railyard area, there is so much to do.

What makes this house unique

Very clean and comfortable with all of the amenities that a house can offer set in a residential area in Santa Fe within walking distance to shops, museums and restaurants.

Guestbook comments from the owner

...we so enjoyed our stay at your lovely rental house. My husband who has been in the upper end design and architectural business here in Phoenix for over 50 years was so impressed with the amount of detail you have included in the renovation of this property. I second that! One of the reasons I moved from Santa Fe several years ago was the thirst for more refinement, and not so much Santa Fe style. You have accomplished both in this lovely, charming place. Also give our kudos to your interior designer for the fabrics chosen and the furniture. We do want to come back soon.

even better than the photos!

  • 5 of 5

Me and my 3 girlfriends were completely in love with this place! We were all comfortable, well rested and couldn't stop raving about the home and location.

Everything was typed out (wifi, where to leave towels, etc) so there were no questions ever!

Will definitely look into staying here again.

Thank you!

Clean place that is close to the Plaza.

  • 5 of 5

Memories forever! We want to come back and stay here again! We even thought about renting out both houses that are next to each other for a family get together. The Plaza is close within walking distance but far enough from all the tourism noise. It was very quite at night.

Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home! We love Santa Fe!

Disappointing

  • 2 of 5

The house itself is nice and in a good location but the interior was a little run down and rather 'shabby'. eg. one of the 'leather' couches had several large rips in the seat, there was a very strong unpleasant smell in the bathroom and the shower head in this same bathroom was so clogged the water dribbled out instead of sprayed. There were instructions taped on the walls and furniture, which was a bit tacky, and in several cases these labels were peeling off the surfaces, which added to the appearance of general shabbiness.

A problem we had with the Wi-Fi connection was promptly addressed , and resolved, which was a plus, but, over all, it was a disappointing experience.

Owner's Response: I don't think anyone has ever referred to our place as shabby, we take very good care of our place and have some very nice expensive Santa Fe style pieces in there. There is one tear on one of the couches, not several, we are looking for a replacement but would like it to match. I was there just before you checked in and there was absolutely no smell coming from either of the bathrooms. The bathrooms just got new shower heads, and the pressure is great so not sure what you are referring to. There are some instructions in a few places which most people find helpful, but never any on the furniture.

Great location very nice accommodations

  • 5 of 5

It is an easy walk to the Santa Fe plaza. The kitchen is well equipped, the two bedrooms are a good size. One has a bathroom directly connected the second bathroom serves both the second bedroom and the reminder of the house.

The location is quite and has very good off street parking. We were here for 3 weeks and had another couple with us during the first week. We would stay here again.

Genuine Santa Fe experience

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed ten days and found the house to be the answer for all our lodging needs. The arrangement of rooms is perfect.

Skylights in both bathrooms and kitchen, plus a clerestory with four windows in the dining, living area give this house a wonderful airy feeling.

Kitchen fully stocked with utensils, glassware, and dinnerware. New Viking stove, microwave, kitchen-aid coffee maker[ wonderful coffee ], dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker, double sink , garbage disposal, and good counter space.

Four of us using the showers, etc. plenty of hot water for all.

Wonderful location with a seven to ten minute walk to the Plaza . Walking from the house to the Plaza you pass by many excellent restaurants. We recommend "Dinner for Two" and "ll Vicino".

A quiet neighborhood at all hours. We were expecting a busy street, but, turned out the opposite with maybe a car or two every ten minutes or so. At night the street was seldom used.

On Sunday morning we had a mishap with one of the shower heads and after our call, Tim was at the door in ten minutes to fix it. Impressive.

If you want the genuine Santa Fe lodging experience, this is for you.

The only suggestion we would make to the owners is to include a floor plan along with the photos.

We definitely will book here again.

Thank you Audrey and Tim and we will have you over for drinks yet.

August Getaway

  • 4 of 5

We loved the VRBO we rented in Santa Fe. Central location - pretty close to square and restaurants. Parking on-site which was nice.

Only negatives were not enough toilet paper, no Kleenex and no clean washcloths every day. We went to Walmart & bought the supplies we needed.

In the winter, visit us for the fabulous skiing and snowboarding at Santa Fe Ski Basin-the best kept secret in the West! Located only 15 miles from Santa Fe-the ski area is only a 25 minute drive from our vacation home. Hiking, snow-shoeing, or cross-country skiing are also easily accessible, only 10 to 12 miles from Santa Fe. This ski area is a great resort-perfect for beginners or experts. Ski and snowboarding lessons and rental equipment is available right at the ski area.

A visit to Santa Fe should also include a visit to one or all of the many museums in our community. The Georgia OKeefe Museum is not-to-be missed-a world class museum offering a unique perspective on the work of this famed artist. The Museum of Fine Arts, the Folk Art Museum, and the Palace of the Governors also offer unique and varied works. In the Fall, the changing colors of the Aspens are visible from the city, or view the incredible display of 500 hot air balloons at the new Balloon Park in Albuquerqu
