Very spacious, very modern, luxury apartment affording breath taking views of the med from the very large, very comfortable south facing terrace & panoramic views of the Mijas hills from the rear balcony. Furnished to a very high standard the apartment boasts marble flooring, hot & cold air conditioning, fully fitted kitchen & satellite TV. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with the master bedroom being en-suite with patio doors leading onto the main terrace. The 2 remaining bedrooms are serviced by a separate equally high quality family bathroom. The gated complex is fully secured with underground parking & 24 hour security. Lifts and paving ramps allow full access for wheelchairs & buggies. The 4 swimming pools are complemented by beautifully sculptured gardens. Our main terrace overlooks the main pool so making it ideal for families to supervise children whilst sunbathing. For extra reassurance, a full time lifeguard is employed during peak season. A gas BBQ is on the terrace. WI FI NOW AVAILABLE IN BOTH APARTMENT AND WITHIN THE COMPLEX.

GOLF EQUIPMENT: I Have left a set of Wilson Graphite Shaft Clubs for your use, should any one not fancy bringing their clubs with them.

A Cot (wooden) is available free of charge.

Please let me know if you wish to have it assembled prior to your arrival.

Please provide baby linen.

Also, a high chair is provided for the use of, again free of charge.

Horse riding.: My wife and daughter enjoy this hobby.

They have found a great trainer and horse riding stables about 20 min away in Alahurin El Grande.

Details are in the apartment.

Very good English trainer, at a fraction of cost of one back in England.

Restaurants and bars. : The most local restaurant are only 5 mins away by foot. Leave the complex by the gate facing the sea, walk down the hill and you will find 4 or 5 very fine restaurants try Rackets for great food and great entertainment, especially if you are served by Carlo.! Don't say I didn't warn you!! Just past Rackets are Chinese, Italian, Spanish and Indian Restaurants, all excellent and great value for money.

The main shopping area is 10 mins away by foot.

If you leave the complex by the gate on the extreme right & turn immediately left you cant miss it.

Here you have more restaurants, bars, food supermarkets, hair stylists and an Internet cafe.

The complex is on two tiers, from the top you have great views of the Mijas hills.

About Gerry Hammond

Janette and I have been together for 30 years and have a son Tony and a daughter Sara.

We live in Egham Surrey. Janette grew up around this area along with her 2 twin sisters and her elder brother. Gerry (me) was born in Windsor and moved into the Egham area shortly before we married.

Why Gerry Hammond chose Mijas area

We actually bought this apartment after a couple of failed attempts at a purchase in Lanzarote.We have always loved Spain both its lifestyle and its climate.

Having holidayed regularly for many years in Lanzarote we decided we would look seriously at buying a holiday home of our own. But due to a couple of problems in the administration system the purchase fell through. We were not deterred however and a good friend of ours hearing of our plight and having purchased recently in Rancho 'C' recommended we stay at his apartment and see if we could find a property nearby. We instantly understood why our friend had purchased there as the area was so clean so professionally run and so close to all the local attractions and sights.

We had a list of requirements we wanted our 'home in sun' to have : most important was a sea view with a balcony overlooking the Med, another was 3 bedrooms so our family and friends could enjoy holidays with us and lastly a good standard of build within the apartment and the surrounding gardens.

Rancho 'C' and this apartment ticked all the boxes and it was on a golf course, BONUS!!!

The area is safe, quiet and the beaches and surrounding restaurants, shops and bars are very close by. We have now made regulars of ourselves in most of them. Lastly the complex is built to very modern standards and we were so pleased that it could cater for all ages and all has the capacity to deal with wheelchair and push chair access.

A great holiday location

We stayed at this appartment and it was out of this world the views were amazing from the terrace overlooking the sea and pool area. The complex around the appartment had all the essentials in terms of shops and restaurants.

The area was very peaceful and only a very short distance to the main night life.

The appartment was extremly clean and had all the ammenities needed to enjoy your holiday whether you stay in or go out.

The locals were very helpful and the food amazing, if you like sea food your in for a treat. We decided to hire a car from Malaga airport this is something I have not done before, but finding Mijas Costa is very easy. You have so much more to do with a car as you are in close distance to places such as Mijas and Gibralta, Gibralta is a must the experience with the monkeys is breath taking. You have the option to go up the mountain via lift or mini bus but from our experience the mini bus gave us so much infomation about the history and local culture.

All in all I would highly recommend this appartment and mijas Costa. Thanks for the great stay and all the help with our stay we have recommended you to many of our friends. Thanks Adam

Fantastic Half term break

Fabulous arrival at property, walking in and seeing the stunning view of the Med. Knockout.

Beautiful, spacious apartment. Everything from the attention to detail to the beautiful cotton bedding made us so comfortable. Beautiful, clean, well equipped. Home from home. be difficult to find better

Lovely pools, gorgeous and well kept grounds.

Easy 10 minute walk to sea. Very pleasant Bar on Beach. easy walk into La Cala, lovely little square and enjoyed a meal at Irish Bar.

Quaint little supermarket near beach with excellent meat counter. Also sells the obligatory floats and bits and pieces

Lidl very near.

Up the Hill, an English supermarket and good takeaway Fish and Chips.

Very good Indian Restaurant, Bombay Spices by sea front

Weather was great, mid 20s

Gerry very helpful at all times, prompt responses to every query.

We used the Car service to return to Malaga Airport, faultless

We hope to return very soon.

All you need is here!!!!

This is our 5th time to stay at Gerry and Janette’s apartment! We were the type of family who would not normally keep returning to the same area and complex, but this is simply the best apartment we have ever stayed in! With its spacious rooms, huge balcony, underground parking, stunning views from all aspects, it is so well equipped! Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and toaster etc! Words don’t fully do this apartment justice. The gated complex, with a Lifeguard in July and August, itself is beautifully maintained, the Manager, maintenance staff, cleaners etc keep it in top shape, you won’t see a weed or litter here! It is very peaceful and is about 5-10 minutes walk from the beautiful beaches with their array of fantastic restaurants like Papa O, Nacho Playa, and La Bomba. These are located on the new boardwalk, a really lovely addition that stretches from La Cala to Riviera del Sol. This is a really pleasant place to stroll, run, cycle etc.The beaches are spotless and with plenty of Lifeguards, keeping everyone safe. If you go to La Cala, you will find really good places to eat, including typical Spanish, Indian, Chinese, all reasonably priced. Also in La Cala, you will find LIdl, Aldi, Supersol and Merodona supermarkets, but there are two shops within 10 minutes walk from the apartment for any milk, bread etc. Super place for all golfers! You will also come across a really good playground for the kids with a tapas bar. Buses at the end of the hill with take you to Fuengirola, with its great shopping and Water Park. You can also take the bus to Marbella, Malaga etc. Mijas Pueblo, a white washed village, which is visible from the apartment, is well worth a visit. Gibraltar is about an hours drive away. We have never hired a car, so you don’t really need one, as the Public transport and taxis are quite cheap. Gerry and Janette are an absolute pleasure to deal with, answering any queries etc very promptly. Chris and Gloria who live in the complex are very helpful and are around if you need any information. All you need is here!

Large terrace with sea AND mountain views

Large apartment with massive terrace and only a short walk to the beach and some really good restuarants (Blue Marlin tapas menu in particular was great). It was a little chilly while we were there but we still managed breakfast and sundowners on the terrace with a choice of sea or mountain view.

The apartment was very clean with good kitchen facilities and includes an undergroup car park space.

Excellent

We have stayed in this great holiday apartment 2 weeks this winter.

Super location, great terrace, all in all a great place for a holiday.

Gerry has all the way been very helpful.

If we are going back to Costa Del Sol we will definitely rent this apartment again.

Would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family

Miraflores makes a great base for those wishing to explore the Costa Del Sol, with the ever popular Fuengorolia and Marbella only fifteen minutes away. The complex is built around a very testing but very pretty 18 hole golf course. Also for golfers there are up to 30 other courses within 45 minutes travelling time. Equally for those who want a quiet less active break La Cala beach is only 10 minutes walk away, so too are a variety of shops and restaurants. Miraflores Country Club with live music most evenings is also very local. For those wishing to cook 'Al Fresco' a gas barbeque is supplied on the main terrace.

Other Activities: go karting, waterpark, retail park.

Golf: Great base for Golf.

Miraflores course is not long but very cleverly designed.....some great match play holes.

Cabapino course nearby is again not on the long side but quite tight, and has some amazing views over the Med.

El Chapperral is also with 5 min by car, great contours and true greens.

Santana,about 10 min away by car,great visual course, wide open fairways,reasonable flat, you could score low here if you get a bit of luck.

Alhurin el Grande, very challenging, especially for mid to high handicappers,always a bit of wind here.But also some lovely views, about 30 min from apartment.

Calanova, I played this in October, I liked it a lot.Great design.You can see this course from the balcony of our apartment, look to the left as you are facing the mountains.The tees seem always to be elevated you get to see the hole and its designs early, again great views and great fun.

Rates are based on a family up to 4. An additional cost of £50 per person is charged for parties above 4. An additional £100 damage deposit is also required, this will be returned to you in full provided no damage was caused during the letting period. Bed and bathroom linen/towels are provided but please take your own beach towels. The above rates include cleaning of the apartment before and after your visit, however, for a small charge arrangements can be made for a mid stay clean and change of linen (for 2 week stay minimum). Cot hire available please ask for rates.
