This stunning two bedroom chalet is situated just 500 meters away from the centre of the popular ski / summer mountain resort of Chatel with the ski bus stopping directly outside our door! The Chalet is well equipped, comprising of a fabulous open plan living room with fireplace, dining room & a fully equipped kitchen. The ground floor also has a toilet, cloak closet and a washing machine. Upstairs there is a bathroom with bath and shower, a separate toilet and two double bedrooms. Each bedroom has a king-size bed which can be split into two singles, a built-in wardrobe and it's own balcony with stunning views looking straight up the valley towards Linga. The chalet has a well kept garden with a private patio and veranda; we provide teak garden furniture and a dining set for use in summer months. In winter we provide wood for the fire and there is a dedicated ski / bike room located at the buildings entrance. The chalet has private, off street parking. Our changeover day is on the Saturday during peak seasons. During the low seasons we can offer flexible changeover days.

Our agency who holds our keys is located at the bottom of the road. They are there to help you during your stay as well as organise your linen hire if needed.

When you stay with us, we hope that you will keep it tidy. When you depart you have the choice of cleaning the chalet yourselves or a cleaner can be organized to step in after your departure for a fee which is paid directly to the agency in Chatel.

There is so much to see and do in the area of the Portes de Soleils both in the summer and in the winter. We hope that you will come stay and benefit from the breathtaking views whilst enjoying your apres ski or to soak up some sunshine after your daily summer adventure.

2017 will be our sixth stay at the Snowball, we both absolutely love this special chalet.

It is perfectly situated a short easy walk into the centre of Chatel, has great views up the valley to the linga.

The chalet is very well equipped, spacious, clean and well designed, it can be very cosy and romantic on a cold winter night with the open log fire burning.

Beth is fantastic to deal with and makes booking simple and straightforward. Nothing is to much trouble.

Having found this fantastic chalet it has become very difficult to go anywhere else.

We fully recommend Snowball to any couple, couples and family's wanting a great stay in Chatel.

Room with a view

It was our first visit to the Haute Savoie and we chose a first class chalet to spend our time there. Chalet Snowball is ideally located for every need whether it's a ski ing holiday or summer holiday.The accommodation offers everything you would require and is cosy and comfortable. Dealing with the owners in Texas is seamless, professional and they were very helpful during the whole process. I would strongly recommend this chalet for those discerning skiers or holiday makers to enjoy unique surroundings in Chatel.

My only disappointment was that the ad suggested it is a chalet but it is in a block with a shared entrance. A little more info about the facilities would be good. The BBQ needed cleaning and a sunshade would be great.

Superbe appartement en duplex dans chalet

Nous avons loué cet appartement duplex dans un chalet au cours des vacances de février 2017. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. Les pistes se situent à quelques centaines de mètres seulement et la navette gratuite s'arrête devant le chalet. L'appartement est vraiment très bien: spacieux , remarquablement bien équipé, impeccable , cheminée avec bois à volonté, literie de premier ordre, petit jardin devant la terrasse... Bref, c'était parfait. Nous le recommandons fortement.

Wonderful location, wonderful holiday

We stayed in Snowball with a family of 4 adults and a 7 months baby and found it very comfortable. The location is perfect and very quiet. It is also close to the main square and attractions of Chatel.

The owners were very helpful with getting us well prepared for our holidays and advise well in advance what we need to do to have a quiet and trouble free vacation with a baby.

Isabelle from the local agency was very efficient to help us and answered all questions we had as this was our first trip to Chatel but we will return there next year by all means as we still have not managed to ski on all slopes; the skiing area is huge.

The house has everything what you may need while you stay there. The kitchen is also very well equipped and has all necessary for your comfort stay. I would add only a very simple electric raclette pans to make this Alpine dish which is a long standing tradition of our family when we come to the Alps.

A fireplace adds a great charm and atmosphere in the house.

Thanks again for the wonderful and healthy vacation.

The Apartment is located about a ten minute walk from the town's church and is situated on a similar level - so very little climbing up mountains to do! It is on Rte de Roitet which is directly below Petite Chatel.

We are extremely fortunate in Chatel, benefiting from breathtaking views all the way down to Abondance and up the valley towards Linga.

The town has retained it's Alpine charm thanks to a rigorous town planning department but is equipped to the highest standards from infrastructure right through to some of the best restaurants in the Alps!

We are blessed with both fabulous skiing - being a part of the worlds largest combined skiing are, the Portes de Soleil, and having a lengthy, warm summer season for all your walking, climbing and cycling / mountain biking needs.

Come and visit - you won't be disappointed.
