Newly renovated, centrally located Apartment - near the Belvedere Palace

The apartment is located in close proximity to the diplomatic quarter and the Belvedere Palace. The apartment was completely renovated in 2010. The representative house was built in the around 1900 and reflects the rich architecture of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The apartment is on the 4th floor with elevator. It is suitable for 1-4 persons. The beds are divided into a double bed (160x200cm) and a sofa bed (mattress size 140x200cm).

Great place

The apartment was on a very quiet street. Its a bit out of the center, but an easy 15 walk, or 5 minutes to the tram or metro. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The apartment is clean, spacious for 3, and upscale feeling. I liked that the windows are big and let in lots of light and fresh air. 2 things could have made it even better. More stuffing in the pillows and bigger towels. The owner was very nice and let us check in in the morning when we arrived. All in all, a great home away from home.

3 nights stay

Siamo stati 3 notti in questo appartamento.

I pro: strada tranquillissima, al 4 piano di un palazzo ristrutturato esternamente, con un ascensore molto spazioso. Al contrario dell'esterno, l'interno de palazzo è piuttosto maltenuto, abbastanza sporco e con muri rovinati.

L'appartamento è completamente rimodernato, con mobili nuovi, molto pulito e funzionale. In cucina c'è l'indispensabile per pasti semplici e la stoviglieria è ridotta al minimo (solo 4 cucchiaini...dovete lavarli ogni volta che li usate), ma ci sono tostapane, bollitore, macchina del caffè americana (no moka!).

Dietro l'angolo c'è un comodissimo Penny Market, inoltre un tabaccaio in cui si possono acquistare i biglietti orari per il parcheggio (sotto casa c'è ampio spazio per parcheggiare, ma la sosta oraria costa 2 euro all'ora). Noi abbiamo tenuto la macchina lì per un paio d'ore e poi l'abbiamo portata al parcheggio sotterraneo di Karlsplatz, dove si pagano 7 euro al giorno, se la sosta è superiore alle 10 ore.

Vicinissima c'è una grande strada piena di negozi (soprattutto alimentari, supermercati veri, negozi etnici).

A 5 minuti a piedi si arriva al Belvedere e noi il primo giorno ce la siamo fatta a piedi fino alla chiesa di S. Stefano, ma è lontanuccio....quindi abbiamo comprato il biglietto bus/metro valido 48 ore (costa 14 euro e qualcosa per gli adulti).

Comodissima la fermata del tram nr 71 che porta in centro e quella del treno veloce S1.

CONTRO: Vi forniscono un solo asciugamano da viso a testa. Quando ho fatto notare che era un po' pochino, se uno voleva utilizzarne uno per la doccia (che già è piccolo...) e uno come turbante per i capelli, la signora ne ha fornito un altro a testa, un po' controvoglia.

Il televisore è piccolissimo, posizionato molto basso di fronte al letto che ha la pediera a sbarre, quindi se si sta su quel letto si guarda attraverso le sbarre...Inoltre, solo una decina di canali e nessun canale italiano.

La connessione internet si paga (noi abbiamo pagato 10 euro per 3 notti). Quindi attenti, perchè la signora mi ha fatto notare che sul sito c'è scritto "Accesso a Internet", non "Wifi gratis"...

Nel complesso, direi che è una buona sistemazione!

Welcome to Vienna.

Very well located. Hard to find at first, because of the small street, but after easy to go around. Next to train station, bus stop, 15 minutes walk to downtown. Great place. The apartment is very clean, very nice. A modern touch in an old building. Very nice. A microwave oven would have been nice to have. A minor detail:the corridor in the entrance is in need of repairs. That would improve the first impression. The elevator was a plus. Patrick, the owner was very nice and gave us the information needed. Vienna is a great city to visit.

Owner's Response: Thanks a lot for you kind words and positive feedback on our flat. We are happy that you enjoyed the stay in Vienna and found the location convenient. The entry area is Art Nouveau and has been recently renovated. The area of the wall following the corridor after the elevator has a slight damage following an earlier repair, where the water insulation was not completely perfect. Such imperfections do happen in old houses, but it will be renovated in the near future. Anyways, we are happy, that you enjoyed the apartment, hope to see you soon again!

Great place!

Stayed here in April. We had never been to Vienna before and wasn't sure about the location before we got there but it was close to a metro stop and therefore easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. It was also very close to a street with restaurants, a bank, and grocery stores. The apartment was extremely clean, and quite large, easily enough room for the two of us. It has two big windows that makes the apartment nice and bright. The kitchen was well equiped. The street was very quiet and we never heard any noise at night.

There were a couple of things that could have made things even better. A full length mirror is needed when dressing up and heading out for the evening. Also the t.v. is placed too low on the wall so that you can't see it while lying down on the bed. This is minor though, and I would highly recommend staying here!

Stilvoll und sauber

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der stilvoll eingerichteten Wohnung sehr genossen! Ausserdem ist die Wohnung gut gelegen, zentral und in einem ruhigen Wohnquartier ohne Durchgangsverkehr! Es war alles nötige Vorhanden, die Wohnung sehr schön und sauber, der Vermieter empfing uns sehr freundlich und nett.

Around the Fasanplatz you will find different shops, supermarkets, a farmacy and various nice restaurants. The Botanic Garden, the Belvedere garden, and the Swiss Garden with the restaurant “Klein Steiermark” (Small Styria) are well worth a visit. There are several ways to walk from the apartment to the historical center (1st district). The shortest way is the Rennweg offering a collection of interesting buildings in a small stretch: the Church Sacré Coeur, the Carmelite Church, the entrance to the Lower Belvedere Palace, the Church of the Guard of the Polish community and the Schwarzenberg Palace. Don’t miss a mug of home-brewed beer and traditional Viennese cuisine at the brewery-restaurant “Salm Bräu” at Rennweg 8. The diplomatic district within the streets Rennweg, Ungargasse and Heumarkt is home to many embassies, the Russian Orthodox and Serbian Orthodox churches as well as the Vienna Concert Hall (Konzerthaus).
