It is on the second and top floor of an ancient palace in the characteristic Via del Riserraglio, and thus one of the oldest neighborhoods of Tivoli. Here was located in ancient Rome, the Forum, in the Middle Ages flourished crafts, and the artists of the Qatari settled here.
The apartment has been restored with great care and furnished with great attention to detail, so you can still breathe the one hand, medieval atmosphere, but not sacrificing modern day comforts.
Let the high ceiling with its clay tiles and wooden beams and dark parquet enchant. The wooden furniture, candlesticks, lanterns and torches made of wrought iron and copper are masterpieces of craftsmanship and the doors we manufacture according to old models and leave with iron bars. Reproductions of medieval tapestries adorn the walls.
Tivoli offers far more than its main attractions, the UNESCO Weltkulturellbestätten Villa D'Este and Hadrian's Villa. Stroll through the wild romantic gorge of the villa Gregoraina with its impressive waterfalls, explore many other testimonies of the Roman era (Temple of Vesta and Sibyl, amphitheater, Santuario di Ercole Vinci gates, ...), or obtained through the tower houses, The castle 'Rocca Pia' and the mountain villages in the region back into the Middle Ages.
Tivoli is easily accessible due to its proximity to Rome.
From Fiumicino Airport with the train shuttle to Roma Tiburtina train station, then train directly to Tivoli.
From Ciampino airport by shuttle bus to the Roma Termini train station, then by metro to Roma Tiburtini train station, then by train.
From Roma Tiburtina Rome-Pescara.
From the metro station Rome Ponte Mammolo (Cotral).
Who has the good fortune to dwell in Tivoli, it should not be missed (except Rome in only 25 km) to explore other pearls of Lazio in the immediate vicinity of Tivoli. The landscape is dotted with charming towns, impressive monasteries and medieval sunken dream Borghi (small towns or villages) in the midst of nature, ideal to take unforgettable day trips and also totally enjoy authentic local cuisine.
The property was clean, spacious and well located to explore Tivoli attractions and Rome. Alessandra was a great host providing helpful information before and during our stay. If you're looking to stay in Tivoli we would definitely recommend this place :-)
The perfect place to experience small town Italy. Easy walk to nearby markets, and home to cook in the fully outfitted kitchen. Comfortable beds, great bathroom, terrace, beauty, you name it. What a bargain!
This place is a little gem. Very pleasant and serene atmosphere, tastefully decorated, good beds, clean sheets, comfortable. Great views from the window and the roof terrace. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. Alessandra met us halfway and lead us through the small streets of the medieval city center. The appartment is in a quiet part of the center. Tivoli is a very nice small town, very beautiful and not taken over by tourists, at least not when we were there. We went to the small shops in the center every day for bread and fruits. It was pretty hot when we arrived (around 30 Celsius) but since Tivoli is on the hills, the temperature was very pleasant. Villa Gregoriana, a beautiful park with gorges and cascades close to the appartement, was one of the highlights of our trip to Tivoli and Rome. Villa d'Este is also a short walk, and very beautiful. Alessandra is the kindest person you can imagine and a great host. There was a problem with a key that was broken inside the lock of the entrance. We texted her and she managed to get it fixed within a few hours. We had lunch at Il Gallo d'Oro where we enjoyed a very good homemade pasta at a very reasonable price. Tivoli is easy to reach from Fiumucino by taking the train to Tiburtina (not Leonardo Express but normal train) and change trains there for Tivoli. Highly recommended. We hope to come back.
Alessandra is wonderful. She met us at Tivoli train and drove us to the apartment. The apartment itself is so, so nice. The building the apartment is in is very picturesque, and just around the corner from the Cathedral (Duomo). The area is away from the touristy bit of tivoli, and is so nice and relaxed.
Plenty of room, there was only the two of us in the large queen? size bed. There was also separate room with two single beds, and there was room for more in the loft.
Everything you needed was in the kitchen. The living room was nice too, very relaxing.
There were two extra special features to this apartment:
1) Alessandra! She sat down with us, and showed us on a map where all the sights were, and where to go for food. It was like a bible for us. She was awesome, very welcoming, and drove us back to the station :)
2) The view from the roof terrace! My GOD! On the one side you are looking up the hill at the row of pretty houses. On the other, the valley behind you, with Rome in the distance.
Awesome place, great host and we are booked to go back here in September 2015!
Our family of six enjoyed this lovely clean apartment. Tivoli has many great sites and provides a good base for exploring the surrounding area and Rome. Alessandro was very friendly and helpful. Loved Tivoli! Thank you Allessandro!
The owner, Allesandra, is an excellent host and offers a lovely apartment in Tivoli. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our time there and she was very helpful with our transportation needs. I highly recommend this apartment, it was as advertised and she made our first stop in Italy a memorable experience.
Charming and comfortable apartment in the heart of the picturesque Centro Storicos of Tivoli.
In the medieval quarter of San Paolo and thus in close proximity to the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Villa D'Este, Villa Gregoriana.
