This is a new development built and furnished to a very high standard. It is situated in a very nice area in Vilamoura known as 'The Old Village'. The property is located beside Pinhal golf course and The Four Seasons, which is very popular with golfers and families alike. Within 'The Old Village' there are some very nice restaurants, snack/bars, supermarket, bakery and a some cosy pub\bars with evening entertainment, most major sports on TV and a WIFI hotspot within The Old Village. It is very close to Europe’s largest Marina with an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops. There are five 18 hole golf courses nearby, two beautiful beaches, various other sports and water sports/parks enjoyed by all ages!! The property comprises of a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, twin bedroom, living room with dining area & double sofa bed. There is also a lovely balcony overlooking the private pool and a staircase leading to a roof garden with lovely views, complete with sun lounger’s, table & chairs & a gas Barbeque.

Perfect Winter Break

We have had a perfect eight night winter break (January/Feb) in Darina & Jim’s apartment.

The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing warm and comfortable stay.

As stated in previous reviews Darina & Jim are on hand if you need them and Darina was excellent to book with, answered all my e-mails very quickly.

After a nice walk around the marina or a walk along the front to Quateira we enjoyed the private roof terrace for an extra dose of winter sun. We even booked a couple of trips through the ‘Tourist information’ office on site which was helpful.

As it was winter not all the facilities were open in the Old Village, but the supermarket and O’Café bar and Rendezvous restaurant were open and for us this was adequate. However after a nice day out we enjoyed eating in a couple of times and the television has all the cable channels you need.

We would not hesitate in recommending to family and friends and we hope to return ourselves in the future.

Perfect apartment in a beautiful Location

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying in this perfect apartment on Old Village. The apartment is on the top floor of a block of 3 with additional private access to a large roof terrace with sun loungers and table and chairs which is great for a laid back breakfast. There is also a bbq for alfresco dining.

The apartment has everything that you need and is immaculate. It is extremely secure with access to a private pool for residents of Prestige apartments only.

Darina who is the owner has to be the nicest person we have rented from. Despite my numerous questions she responded quickly and even offered to get some provisions from the supermarket as we had a late arrival. Darina lives across from the apartment and is always on hand if you need her. Darina organised our transfers and they were excellent.

Old Village is a community with several pools, a supermarket and a number of restaurants including a cafe bar. It is a short 15 minute stroll down to the Marina and is less than 30 minutes from Faro airport.

We would be very happy to recommend the apartment to friends and relatives and look forward to returning.

Wonderful apartment in the old village

We have just arrived back from a wonderful holiday at The Old Village. The apartment is modern, very clean and spacious. Huge balcony over looking the pool with the sun on it in the afternoon. Also loved the roof terrace where you can have a BBQ. The owner is so helpful and really made our holiday easy. The old village complex itself is very beautiful, well kept gardens and pretty town houses to walk round with about 5 restaurants to choose from,catering for all tastes. Some restaurants offered take away food which was great for eating in. There was also a shop onsite. So easy with children. we have a 4 year old and she loved the pool. We will definitely be returning very soon.

Amazing place to stay

Me and my partner spent a lovely week here recently. Having read the previous reviews and deciding to book I was not disappointed!! Darina was so helpful through the booking, always replying to my many questions very quickly!!!

A really lovely place to stay, well equipped and extremely clean & comfortable. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings then this is the place for you!! The added bonus of your own roof terrace with bbq is ideal if fancy a quiet night in and a real suntrap from morning to night. The marina and beach (both lovely) are in easy walking distance or you can always get the little train if you are feeling lazy.. We can't wait to return next year, thank you Darina for a lovely stay!!

A Delightful Apartment in an ideal location !!

This really is a lovely apartment set in an ideal location. It is very spacious with all mod cons, a lovely balcony over looking the swimming pool, and a large roof terrace with views of the whole village inc the golf course, Vilamoura and the sea. It is a 15 minute walk from the Marina with its many bars and restaurants and 20 minute walk to the beach. We felt so relaxed and made welcome by the owner it was a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely be returning in the not too distant future !!!

Fantastic Stay!

Where do I start!

Apartment - Ideal location in the old village prestige with numerous bars and restaurants within literally seconds of walking.

The old village is like a little quaint french village!

Apartment itself is gorgeous, all mod cons and the rooftop with BBQ is ideal for the sunny evenings.

Pool is lovely and clean, quiet and tranquil.

The marina is a 10 min stroll away were there is hundreds of restaurants and bars. Great atmosphere any time of day or night for family's or couples. Taxi back is €3.90, handy after a few sherries.

I couldn't recommend Darina enough. One of the nicest people I have ever rented an apartment from for a holiday. Makes you feel very comfortable and is always at the end if the phone should something be a miss. Jim from Algarve Hire also is 100%, again, always only a call away.

This is my second time renting from Darina and will not be the last! You will not regret if u rent from Darina!

It is approximately a 15 minute walk to the Marina with it's beautiful yachts, restaurants and shops. You will also find the nearby blue flag Falesia beach. There are various water parks and the renowned Zoomarine where you can swim with the dolphins. There are five 18hole championship courses in Vilamoura. In 'The Old Village' there is a wonderful Michelin star restaurant known as 'Willies' which we would HIGHLY recommend for that special occasion. Eating out- ALL tastes (& pockets) are catered for. Likewise, Nightlife accommodates all tastes and ages. Locally there is a top rate fitness centre which can be used on a daily rate! And for anybody into the 'MARKET' scene there is a really good one in the nearby town of Quarteira on Wednesday mornings. A visit to the nearby town of Loule is a must, even if only to ramble the narrow cobbled shopping streets. And for the shoppers, there is ALGARVE SHOPPING, 15KLMS, Portugal’s largest shopping centre, well worth a visit!
