About the property

Large 2BR, close to all tourist attractions and public transportation

Wonderful 2 bedroom apartment, very sunny, w/large windows and a high ceiling. Sleeps 4-6 guests. One bedroom has a loft bed w/twin on bottom and full bed on top. 2nd BR has a queen size bed. There is a sofa bed in the living area.

Newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. We offer digital cable TV, DVD and high speed Internet. For your convenience, we provide linens and towels, and pots and pans, dishes and utensils in the kitchen. The North End is close to everything - tourist attractions and lots of cozy cafes and shops.

~~ Parking in the North End of Boston ~~

1. The best place to park without paying is in a visitors’ lot on Hanover Street. Pay attention to the signs because some are from 8am-6pm and some are 12pm –6pm. Free parking is limited usually to two hours and is often enforced.

2. Metered parking is usually available all along Commercial Street, which runs perpendicular to Hanover Street. Bring plenty of quarters.

3. For overnight parking, I recommend parking in the Sargent’s Wharf on Commercial Street, right next to Starbucks. The cost for overnight parking runs between $9 and $14, but be sure to check the rate schedule, because the rate may change for the daytime. For overnight parking on the street, most parking spaces are reserved for residents or valet parking zones.

4. There is also an indoor garage near the Fleet center called the North End Garage.

5. Meter maids are notorious in the North End. They love it because the neighborhood resembles the mess in Naples and Sicily in that there are lots of opportunities to give tickets. Most tickets run around $25, but they can only give them out once a day. So, if you receive a ticket, chances are that you can still park there for a while.

This is all I know about parking in the North End. Good luck.

Why Dror Ashuah chose North End

The North End feels like home from the moment you set foot on Hanover street with its bustling restaurants; such as Mikes Pastry, the line in front of Giacomo's restaurant. You cannot help but fall in love with this warm and friendly Italian neighborhood where everyone gives you suggestions of where to go and dine before you even ask. Everyone falls in love with this safe and charming neighborhood

What makes this condo unique

Wonderful vibrant and uniquely joyful neighborhood centrally located and accessible to many historical sights such as Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail and Faneuil Hall. An experience that should not be missed.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Dror,

Thank you so much for the great accommodations - my daughter and I felt so at home in Ansel's Apartment! I'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know how impressed we were with Gail. She arranged for us to be able to check in early, and called a couple of times to see how things were.

Although our trip was a bit of a whirlwind, it was nice to have a cozy, warm "home" to return to each evening.

Again, many thanks to you and your staff. We have already recommended you to several people, and we will undoubtedly stay with you again!

Sincerely,
Mar 2010

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, four kids and I had a great two day stay in this apartment. We enjoyed being able to walk to the many restaurants in Little Italy, the Freedom Trail, which is steps outside the front door, and the New England Aquarium. The kitchen was well equipped to make meals and the apartment was clean and welcoming. Our twin boys originally planned to sleep in the loft bed, but my husband and I ended up sleeping there because it was quite high for our young children. I would definitely recommend this apartment for a fun and convenient stay in the city!

Beautiful in Boston

  • 4 of 5

Our stay in Boston was wonderful and the neighborhood that we stayed in, which I believe is Little Italy, was very lovely... The apartment that we rented on 435 Hanover St was centrally located and within walking distance to everything. It was well appointed with all the comforts that one would expect if they were at home, VERY clean, spacious and though the kitchen is small the layout made good use of the allotted space. We were also very surprised but pleased , at the welcome basket that had been left for us (pasta and sauce). My only complaint, which is external to the apartment, is the rather small vestibule of the building which made it impossible to unload our belongings all at once. Other than this one detail of minutia, it is a very nice apartment in a quaint and safe neighborhood.

2D is a beautiful, spacious apartment, on the whole we were very comfortable there for five nights.

  • 4 of 5

The furnishings are beautiful with tons of art on the walls, a big bed in the main bedroom, a small but functional bathroom, and a comfortable area in which to relax. The location in the North End is pretty much unbeatable, with so many fantastic restaurants and bakeries near, plus the Freedom Trail and the Harbor. We did have a problem with excessively high heat upon arrival, i.e., the apartment was stifling at 78 degrees, set on a thermostat that we couldn't control in a common area on the second floor. This took a while to solve (the first adjustment didn't work) with the apartment manager and the first night was uncomfortably hot, affecting sleep and leaving us feeling dehydrated. A new system will apparently soon allow individual temperature control and it is very much needed! I would give 4.5 stars if a half star was available.

All my short term apartments are located close to the Freedom Trail, a few minutes walk to the famous Fanuil Hall and Quincy Market as well the Aquarium and many historical sites. I have 9 short term furnished apartments within a two block radius in the heart of little Italy and the price listed is the base price.
