This partner has demonstrated and is committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.
We enjoyed 9 wonderful days at this lovely property. The house was even nicer than the photos, most importantly, it was immaculate top to bottom. The home has very comfortable beds and pillows. We live in NYC and have family in London and France. We all wanted to spend quality time together - our family group was multi generational - the house was a perfect choice. The layout allowed everyone to enjoy our time together with plenty of room up and downstairs. Thank you A & G for giving our family happy memories to last a lifetime. PS.My sister in law is planning a return trip next month!
As always, when one books a "gite" in France, you have no idea of exactly how it's going to be! However, La Pousssiere was better than we could have anticipated! A wonderful location and, whilst still in the French style, dare I say that the "English" touches made our stay (probably) one of the best we have ever experienced in more than 20 years of renting properties in France!
Great spacious house that was well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Certainly way above average concerning facilities that we normally encounter at holiday rentals. Ideal for larger groups. (we stayed with 5 adults and 4 kids and still had empty beds). There was plenty of room in the dining area, living room and outside terrace to accommodate us comfortably.
Location is ideal for exploring the famous wine villages of Burgundy, yet the town of Orches itself is quiet and feels "off the beaten track".
Only negative was a nasty smell from the septic tank, but the owner and caretaker was quick to get that resolved. I guess we were unlucky in that the issue popped up during our stay, chances are future renters won't have the same issue.
Everything is perfect. We love the house, the location....
The room is large, the living room is confortable.
It was very cool to find a christmas tree at our arrival. Thanks a lot.
We hoppe to return at this place.
Good holidays with our family. Thanks.
We planned a Christmas holiday that included in-laws, nieces and nephews. While the criteria for a property needed to offer us enough space for everyone to enjoy our time together, my husband and I also wanted a property that met our expectations for cleanliness - a non-negotiable requirement. This property met that and so much more! It is as charming as the photos, very, very clean, comfortable mattresses, immaculate white sheets, comforters and pillows, well-equipped kitchen and everything anyone would need for a perfect stay in Burgundy. Located within minutes of charming wine villages this home was a welcome refuge after long days out exploring. We were a multi generational group and found that this home offered everyone enough space to enjoy our time together. The owners were delightful and lovely to deal with ... We highly recommend this home to anyone coming to the Beaune/Nolay area .
We were a party of five Canadians, my wife, myself and three adult children, all visiting Burgundy for the first time. The house was everything we could wish for, and more. Our principal interest was taking in the regional food and wine, and the house was a terrific base for a wonderful two week holiday. All the amenities were in place to support the preparation of elaborate and extended meals, which we enjoyed eating both inside and outside the house. The kids really appreciated the amount of space in and around the property, with the large developed area on the upper floor letting everybody spread out to pursue a range of different activities.
The house is simply but beautifully finished, a wonderfully rustic retreat. The property manager lives on an adjacent property, and is available to help with simple issues and answer questions. And while Burgundy experienced an unseasonable heat wave, the thick stone walls and substantial exterior shutters kept us cool and comfortable on the hottest days.
As we were new to the area, we found the rental car navigation system very helpful, in terms of finding local markets and services. The information package provided by the owner is helpful, and entering local co-ordinates into the nav system made it very easy to get around what is a very beautiful and truly rural area of France.
Our visit was memorable, and we're certainly recommending the house and the area to family and friends.

The historic town of Beaune offers many tourist attractions including the famous Hospice de Beaune. The Tourist Office here is very helpful with many languages spoken. There are brochures with money off coupons for many attractions, these are either free or have a small charge. The 'Passeport Cote d'Or' is good value and allows entry to several attractions within the cost.
Nolay boasts a spectacular limestone roof covered market place and medieval alleyways. We are very close to historic Dijon and the Morvan, a national park with lakes and an area of outstanding beauty,. There are many sites of historical interests in the area including Chateaux, Roman sites and Museums.
Most of the local famous wine producers such as Volnay, Meursault and Pommard welcome visitors for tours and tasting and are always very hospitable. There are many superb restaurants to be found within a short distance of the house offering several local specialities.
Other Activities: Quad biking, horse riding nearby
