First time in Turkey and have to say absolutely loved it. The villa, as people have stated, is set a bit back but is very near to the main stretch of Ovacik where they are lots of lovely restaurants. The area as a whole is lovely - plenty around to visit and the villa is lovely to just relax it. We all loved the pool and spent many lazy days lounging around!! The villa generally was very good and perfect for our family of 5 and I wouldn't hesitate to book again with Gordon who was absolutely amazing answering any questions before we went and arranging transfers (very friendly). In short, brilliant :)
Hi Jo, I am so glad you all had a lovely time and it was a pleasure doing business with you. I'm glad you enjoyed the pool and found the location right for you. You're welcome back anytime! Gordon
Clean and tidy in a great location
Many thanks. So pleased you had a lovely holiday. Gordon
Fabulous holiday with everything we needed
From start to finish our holiday was a great experience. Easy to book and Gordon was really helpful in giving us advice about the local area as well as answering our questions about Turkey/driving/food etc! The villa was lovely, there was only 2 of us so it was plenty big enough. The terrace area was a very welcome retreat from the heat, while the pool area was big enough for us to enjoy sitting in the sun. The pool was really cold (but I am a wimp with cold water), and the pool maintenance guy came daily to maintain it - it was spotless and looked beautiful. He found it mildly amusing when we asked about heating the pool, he told us "it's not the summer!" Local small supermarket and lovely restaurants (Aubergine & Three Cheers especially) within very easy each. The Dolmus bus picks up from the top of the road and was 4.25TL each to go to Oludeniz. As we were there towards the end of the season we found it to be quieter, but that suited us.
We went and found the recommended fish market in Fethiye, which was an amazing experience. Fresh fish delivered to your table and cooked to order for you. Beaches are excellent and the sea was warm. Visited Saklikent Gorge, but due to heavy rains and storms we couldn't walk up it...which just means we'll have to come back!
Thanks for an amazing holiday and lovely villa, we loved it!

Thank you for the lovely review.
Fantastic we loved it
Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Wendy House, it’s in a great location, everything is right on your doorstep, we had four teenagers who are driving us crazy to return, so it’s looking like a return back and would I choose this villa again....... YES
Thanks Gordon for letting us stay
Hi Danny. Many thanks for the feedback. Delighted you and your group had such a great time. You're welcome back anytime. Gordon
Excellent location, wonderful villa and pool. Absolutely recommended
The villa is spacious and well equipped with a lovely feel. The pool is deep enough to allow jumping I in without nervousness and the pool area looks back onto the villa with the mountains in the background which is so lovely a view. The villa has a veranda and balcony area for sitting out and reading ..so relaxing! The location is superb with a very short walk to the supermarket and restaurant but tucked away from the noise or any passing traffic/people. I will definitely be returning and almost don't want to tell everyone about this gem for fear of missing out myself !
Many thanks for your lovely review. I am glad you had such a relaxing time in the sunshine. We often get positive comments on the location, so delighted it worked for you. You are welcome back anytime. Gordon
There's so much going for this property, and Turkey in general, it's hard to know where to start!
The villa is situated a just outside the busy stretch of (about a ten minute walk) and nestled amongst a host of charming restaurants. During our stay, we tried to visit as many as possible but with such a high calibre of food we couldn't resist a couple of places more than once!
My fiancee and I loved starting the day, at a leisurely pace around 12pm, by eating fresh yoghurt and fresh fruit sitting in the sheltered area on the veranda. For someone such as myself, who can be a little "sunphobic" at times, the shelter was blessed relief and helped me regain my composure when the heat became too much. To while away the long, sunny afternoons we migrated to the poolside where we enjoyed reading, taking the occasional dip and, at a reasonable hour, sipping some of our duty-free purchases over large helpings of ice and tonic.
In the town, we were spoiled for choice with shopping, eating, drinking and general beautification- all promising the "best price in town"; my fianceé and I particularly enjoyed spotting the best British-inspired shops and bars, with contenders including "Azda", "Foot Lokcer" and "Tesko". Aside from these points of interest, the quality and variety of food in the town centre was great and spent some wonderful evenings soaking up the atmosphere and nibbling on delicious mezze (or balloon bread for philistines such as myself).
What I was most impressed by, as a newcomer to Turkey, was the outstanding warmth and courteousness of the Turkish people: generous, humble and welcoming it really was the people who made the place.
Thank you for the delightful time! My fiancee and I can't wait to return.
Many thanks for your lovely review. It sounds like both you and your fiancée had a lovely time, and I am delighted our home helped make your first visit to Turkey so enjoyable.
We also love the area, food and the people. You are welcome back anytime.
The Wendy House is situated in the quieter outskirts of Ovacik on the way to Hisaronu. It is a leisurely 15-20 minute stroll to the main resort centre of Hisaronu along the main road from Ovacik with it's many shops, bars and restaurants. Hisaronu has a huge selection of restaurants and lots going on. Fethiye is the nearest big working town and is easily reached by dolmus, it takes around 15 minutes. The dolmus service is a local mini bus which stops anywhere along the main road and is very frequent and cheap. The beautiful Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz beach is also easily reached by dolmus and takes around 10 minutes.
