Attractive 3 bedroom penthouse apartment with Internet which overlooks the 6th fairway on Isla Canela golf course. The apartment has two large sun terraces (100 m²) allowing all day sun. The property is beautifully furnished and has one king size and two large twin rooms. The main bedroom being served by its own en suite bathroom with a separate shower room for the other bedrooms. The living/dining room has a table and 6 chairs, sofa and 2 armchairs. Leading from the living room area is the rear terrace complete with table and chairs which overlooks the 6th fairway & nature reserve. The 2nd terrace is off of the kitchen/ bedroom 3. This has a table and 6 chairs and large sun lounging area. There is also a large chimney type BBQ for your use. The apartment has a communal swimming pool open from April to October. Reduced green fees are available at the golf course. Ayamonte, the vast beaches and marina are only a few minutes away.

Golf Course bookings and discounts: If you are interested in playing other golf courses other than Isla Canela such as Castro Marim, Quinta do Vale, El Rompido, Costa Azuri, El Moncilla, Quinta de Ria, Quinta de Cima, Benimor, etc, then we can arrange for tee times and discounts. Also available are rental golf clubs which can be delivered direct to you, saving expensive carriage charges and the need for a larger hire car. Please let us know at time of booking.

Also within an hours drive you can access all the main Portuguese Algarve courses such as San Lorenzo, Quinta De Lago, Vale De Lobo and Villamora

Airports/Car Hire: There are three options regarding airports. Faro is the closest at 50 Kilometres (45 minutes) with flights from Easyjet, Monarch, Aer Lingus and Ryanair. Then Seville is just over an hour drive being served by Ryanair and British Airways. The third airport is Jerez, this is a two hour drive but is straight forward as the route is on two motorways. Ryanair fly to this airport.

We can advise you on car hire companies should you require for both Spain and Portugal.

  • The en suite is located off of the main bedroom and is fitted with a bath complete with shower, basin and bidet. An electric towel rail is also fitted. The shower room serves the remaining two bedrooms and is fitted with a shower, basin, bidet and electric towel rail.

The apartment enjoys being within a few hundred metres of the golf club house with its driving range, bar, restaurant, terrace and bowling greens. Also within walking distance is the impressive Da Vinnci hotel and Barraida fishing village with its quaint restaurant and bars. The apartment has free use of the Tennis and Paddle tennis courts located opposite. It also benefits from being a very short distance away from the beach and marina resorts on the island. The town of Ayamonte is on its door step, with its cobbled streets and town squares. It is full of great places to eat and enjoy the local surroundings. The Portuguese town of Villa Real is either a fifteen minute drive or a ten minute ferry ride away. For the golfer in addition to the impressive Isla Canela golf course, there is no end of fantastic golf courses within a short distance including El Rompido, Castro Marin, Benimor and Quinta de Ria. On average the resort enjoys 320 days of sunshine a year.

Well equipped flat overlooking golf course with two patios.

We were a group of three friends playing in a tournament at the Isla Canela Golf course, and the flat was perfectly appointed So we each had our own room, the beds had duvets or blankets and the rooms all had heater/air conditioner. It had two large terraces back and front, so perfect for relaxing in the sun (or shade). There were plenty of sun loungers and outdoor tables too.

Jeff and Deb, the owners were helpful and prompt in answering queries we had about the apartment, local area and car hire.

A great family property

We had a lovely stay at this location. The accommodation is very well appointed, althought the kitchen is a little small when compared to the rest of the property. The two terraces are fantastic and are the winning features of this property.

Some pool side furniture would be appreciated as the grass is touch and the concrete hard!

Would benefit from having some instructions to hirers on such items as use of and access to tennis courts and walking distances/bus numbers/ taxi numbers to nearby facilities such as Isla Canela Marina, which by the way is a marvellous location for food, entertainment or just a walk.

Would certainly recommend this proprty.

The apartment was perfect. The views of the surrounding golf course, nature reserve and Ayamonte are stunning. The facilities were of an excellent standard, The area is a breath of fresh air, a unspoilt town, beautiful beaches, fantastic marina and very friendly people. We particularly enjoyed exploring the Island and loved walking to all parts of the island.

We will definetely return to the apartment again.

Apartamento excelente, dimensões muito boas, bem equipado, atendimento muito simpatico á chegada. Complexo turístico com excelentes condições piscina espetacular. A praia é boa, mas quando a maré vaza, fica muita porção de areia para caminhar até á agua. Foi uma semana bem passada.

Isla Canela is located next to the lovely town of Ayamonte with its quaint cobbled streets and town squares. There is no end of great restaurants to eat at and the local people are very friendly and helpful. The town and resort are on the opposite river bank to Villa Real in Portugal on the river Guadiana. The island of Isla Canela consists of a golf resort, a beach resort and marina and is the home of two lovely fishing villages. The area is in the Heulva region and is within approx a hour of the historic city of Seville. Access to other areas of Andalusia and Portugal is made easier by the main motorway of the IP1. This particular part of Andalusia, The Costa De La Luz remains very unspoilt and is a great place to discover the true Spain.
