A spacious house at the seafront in Grenivik. Upper level with a bedroom with double bed in massive oak, two bedrooms with bunk beds, elegant bathroom. Lower level with a spacious living room with direct access to the garden and a view to the sea. Internet access, separate bathroom. Hotpot in the garden with enough privacy and access to the house.

The kitchen has all comfort such as microwave, stove, oven, coffee machine, toaster. In the house there is a washing machine and a tumbler as well. An ideal place for families and a longer stay in Iceland.

Highly recommendable

We spent one week at the beginning of march.

It's a beautiful place. The house is very spacious and lies beside the coast line in the village Grenivìk.

The climb to the Þengilhöfði is a must while staying in Grenivìk. But there is also a lot to do nearby (even during wintertime).

Grandioser Ausblick , traumhaftes Haus

Wir waren zwei Wochen in Grenivík und haben jeden einzelnen Tag genossen. Das Haus ist super gemütlich, toll ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Es liegt grandios unmittelbar am Fjord. Wir haben tolle Sonnenauf- und untergänge gesehen und Kreuzfahrtschiffe gezählt. Aber das Tollste sind die Wale. Bei gutem Wetter (wir hatten reichlich) konnte man die Wale blasen sehen. Wir hatten Ferngläser dabei und haben somit auch die Wale beobachtet wie sie tauchten. Außerdem finden die Whalewatching Touren von Hauganess häufig direkt in "unserem" Fjordabschnitt statt, so dass man nur die Boote beobachten muss, um zu wissen, wo die Wale gerade sind. Mit den Vermietern Carmen und Thomas hatten wir vor unserer Reise, während dessen und auch nachher einen sehr netten Kontakt. Sie sind sehr freundlich und super hilfsbereit.

Grenivík ist zwar nicht direkt an der Ringstraße gelegen, aber wir konnten trotzdem ohne großen Aufwand und Zeitverlust alle Sehenswürdigkeiten besuchen, die wir uns rausgesucht hatten. Man kann auch in der Nähe von Grenivík viele tolle Sachen machen, so dass wir nicht immer weit gefahren sind, sondern die eine Hälfte des Tages im Hotpot verbrachten und die andere auf den umliegenden Bergen wanderten, geritten sind oder die Torfhäuser von Laufás angeschaut haben. Wir können dieses tolle Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und hoffen, dass wir wieder kommen.

SUPERE MAISON !

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cette magnifique maison en bord de mer !

La vue est très jolie, le village est très bien situé, un peu en retrait pour avoir du calme.

La maison était très propre et spacieuse !

Perfekt

Da Haus liegt absolut traumhaft, direkt am Fjord u. mit Blick auf die gegenüberliegende Küstenlinie.

Alles war wie im Inserat beschrieben.

Auch unsere späte Ankunft war überhaupt kein Problem, das Haus war offen u. warm.

Von Grenivik läßt sich die Gegend in Richtung Myvatn sehr schön erkunden u. abends kann man Polarlichter vom Hotpot aus genießen .

Vielleicht könnte man die Schlafzimmer mit kleinen Nachttischleuchten ausrüsten, wäre gemütlicher...

Irre schön!

Zu fünft erlebten wir eine unvergesslich schöne, unbeschreiblich eindrucksvolle, schnee- und -sturmreiche Weihnachtszeit.

Mit liebem Dank für die kompetente, herzliche Gastfreundschaft und schweren Herzens nahmen wir wie geplant Abschied.

Aber sogar das Wetter stellte sich unserem Plan der Rückfahrt entgegen, sodass wir einen weiteren glücklichen Tag in unserem Lieblingshaus in Island geschenkt bekamen!

Wir wünschen Carmen und Thomas, sowie deren Familie von Herzen Kräfte und Gesundheit!

Und allen Mithelfenden sei ebenso bestens gedankt!

Wir können gar nicht anders, als unbedingt wiederkommen!

A small fishing village with a harbor, golf course, swimming pool, horseback riding opportunities and wonderful hiking paths. Shuttle services with ship and taxis can be organized for longer hiking routes. Several huts in on the routes are available if hiking tours of several days are chosen.

Akureyri, the capital of the north, can be reached by car in 30 minutes.

Horseback riding: About 3 kilometers away there is the horse farm 'Polarhestar' with more than 100 horses. You can rent them for a few hours or several days as you like.

Golf: A 9-holes golf course is located outside the village.

Skiing: During the winter season there is an opportunity to buy rides up to the nearby mountain Kaldbakkur. In Akureyri you will find a fine skiing area with night skiing facilities and a few lifts.
