Independent, large BEACH HOUSE right at the foot of Mount Olympus & Ossa, with own entrance, large roofterrace & large balcony. Situated in a quiet location in the small, modern seaside village New Pori, directly at one of the largest, broadest, sandy beaches of Greece. You have direct beach/sea-view plus a wonderful outlook at the Olympus. Supermarket, shops, restaurants etc close by. Picturesque mountain villages, green forests & mountain gorges and many other sights are near. The location is easily (by motorway or train) and quickly (60-120min) reachable from airports VOLOS or THESSALONIKI.

Excellent train/shuttlebus connection from/to airports.

Optional: we can organize your quick, secure and comfortable transfer from/to airport for up to 8 persons with our Minivan (starting at 75 Euro 2 persons/Volos). Ideal for late-night charterflights, traveling with luggage or small children. Pay 2-4 days less for rental car).

The old monastery St. Dimitrios (500 AD) near Stomion in the Ossa foothills with a magnificent view on the Pinios Delta plains towards Platamon and the Bay of Thessalonica (Thermaikos Kolpos).

The ancient Macedonian city Dion in Pompeii style and similar fate, with temples, theaters, bathhouses etc.

The ancient theater and acropolis of Larissa and its picturesque old center and museums of antiquities and modern art.

The wellknown Pilion penisula with its pituresque village and the city of Volos with promenade and harbor.

TRANSFER TO PORI: BY CAR: from direction Thessalonica by motorway A1 towards Athens you leave the tollway after about 100 km and 20 km south of the city of Katerini at toll-station (Situation 2011). Here you already see the Castle of Platamon and after 8,6 km you take the exit Platamon/Nei Pori. Turn sharp right under bridge, turn right after 1 km after traintracks & follow old rail tracks to Railwaystation N Pori ~ 2 km. At station turn left , after 400 meters take the roundabout, 3rd exit (~1/3 round). Follow the road with separate drivelanes and turn left at 3rd road (500m) on left hand. Stop here at the first yellow house on your right hand, 2nd door (no 3A).

BY TAXI: for 4 Pers, ~125€ (~120min).

BY TRAIN: from the airport Thessaloniki take bus 78 to the trainstation (50min) and local train (pro-astikos) to Nei Pori (70 min). Do NOT take Intercity. Taxi/walk last 900m. Bus and train costs: ~13€/P Einzelfahrt.

From airport Volos take bus to Volos, train to Larissa 1hr, train to Pori 25min. Bus and train costs ~15 €/P Einzelfahrt.

From Trainstation Pori we can pick you up or you can call a taxi (contact us to arrange one or the other), or you can walk the distance (900mtr).

There are train discounts available for: return trips, for children, students (studentcard!), elderly and people under 25 years, groups of 6 or more people, families with 4 or more children, for e-tickets and for tickets paid 3 days in advance.


PLS DO NOT SMOKE INSIDE THE HOUSE, but only outside. There is ample space on the balcony, the roof terrace, parking or garden and the weather is always good. Pls consider the people who come after you.

The house & marmor staircase should not be entered with sand from the beach on shoes or body (Pls use the shower on the groundfloor near entrance first).

The house has a solar boiler for free warm water supply.

In the few cases that you need extra warm water, you have to switch on the boiler. Please shut off the appliance after about 0,5 hour and/or after use. The switch is located in the fuse box near the entrance on the 1st floor.

At the end of your stay pls take care of the following:

Clean oven, microwave and stove.

Empty the refrigerator,

Clean cutlery, pots & pans,

Sweep floors,

Close windows, sun-blinds & shades,

Leave used bed-clothing, towels in the shower.

Dispose of garbage in the green container & put it on the streetcorner(!) & not in front of the house (garbage is collected every day +/- 07.00 hours).

Switch off Main Electricity Switch.

Leave keys on the table. Close front-door behind you, WITHOUT leaving key inside lock

Perfect Location

We felt that the best thing about this beach rental was the location. It is located directly on the beach in a nice little village. The village was deserted during our stay in April (although it is just a few minutes drive to the more happening village of Platamon), but is more bustling during the busier season. The proximity to local attractions including Dion, Mt. Olympus, etc. was unbeatable.

The apartment itself offered plenty of space. There were a few chilly and rainy days during our vacation and we got pretty darn cold in the apartment. It also felt rather wet in the apartment due to massive amounts of condensation on the windows. I would say if you're staying during a warmer season this would not be an issue. Otherwise, turn on the heaters.

The owner of the property gave us wonderful, detailed advice on what to see and do during our stay and is very friendly and helpful in general. The price was great as well. This part of Greece is amazingly beautiful. There is really so much to see (and eat)! Enjoy!

Owner's Response: Thanks for your positive review. Indeed, our Unique Selling Point is the great location of a spacious house right on the beach and the vicinity of atractions nearby, like Mt. Olympus, Tempi Valley, Platamon Castle, The Pinios River Delta Protected Bird Area etc, etc. Even in the quieter season there is enough to do and see in the neighboring villages and cities, like Platamon or Leptokaria. In this time of year the use of a (rental) car is worth considering, although the train and bus lines, can bring you everywhere within 30 minutes and to Thessaloniki in 1 hour. Especially to counter any moisture problems during the few rainy days we have in Spring or Autumn, this winter we installed 4 airconditionings, which can be set to heat and, if neccessary, also to dehydrate the appartment. Together with a new wood stove we bought recently and extra heat insulation measures which are being executed at the moment, we are confident that our guests will have a comfortable stay, even during colder and rainy days. We always do our best to make our guests feel comfortable and at home here. This includes giving any information they might need and helping out where and when neccessary. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest. Please come again!

This house was PERFECT for my 3 teenagers, 1 grandchild and me! Nea Poroi is a GREAT vacation spot, very friendly village, easy to drive in and close to lots of sightseeing. The beach was very close and there were loads of good places to eat and shop. The landlord was extremely helpful and the house was in spectacular condition. The covered parking was very convenient and driving was super simple in this part of Greece.

Großes Haus direkt am Strand

Unsere Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich mit einem kleinen Geschenk begrüßt. Ein sehr großes sauberes Haus mit wunderbarem Meerblick. Das eine vorgesetzte Haus rechts stört nicht im geringsten. Durch den sehr großen Balkon und den Markisen kann man sich jeder Zeit dort aufhalten wo es einem am angenehmsten ist. Die Küche bietet alles was man braucht. Vom großem Kühlschrank bis zum Elektroherd alles vorhanden. Im Haus ist ausreichend Platz für 6 Personen. Trotz direkter Lage im Ort konnten wir Nachts keinerlei Ruhestörungen bemerken. Es gibt sehr viele Tavernen. Welche gut und welche nicht so gut sind sollte man selber heraus finden. Freitags ist immer ein riesen Wochenmarkt im Ort, den man unbedingt besuchen sollte. Unser Fazit.

Sollten wir nochmal in diese Gegend kommen dann nur im Beachhouse Neu Pori

Gutes Preis - Leistungs - Verhältnis

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Strand und Tavernen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Genug Platz im Haus für 4-5 Personen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zum Olymp und anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Sehr nette Vermieter und Kellner. Anfahrtsbeschreibung sollte nochmal überprüft werden, im Dunkeln schwer zu finden.

Owner's Response: Schön zu hören das es Ihnen gefallen hat. Das Haus ist fast 165 m2 groß und drei mal so groß wie die Ferienappartements in der Gegend. Wenn wir auch noch die extra Schlafzimmer am Dachterrasse dabei rechnen gibt es platz für 6-7 Personen. Mit eine Wohnzimmer allein von bereits 56 m2 und 2 Badezimmer geht das gut, denken wir. Die ganze Region Pieria mit dem Olympus ist sehr schön und ladet die Besucher ein zu Ausflüge. Wir sind unsere Gäste immer behilflich mit Ideen für schöne Ausflüge, gute Restaurants, malerische Bergdörfer usw. Sehen Sie unsere Internetseite. Uitstekend vakantiehuis!

We waren op zoek naar een ruim vakantiehuis voor 5 personen.

Ik had daarbij nogal een eisenpakket :

Voor mij (vrouw) was t erg belangrijk dat er voldoende ruimte in huis was zodat iedereen wat privacy kon hebben.

* pal aan t strand zodat de kinderen er ook zonder ons naar toe konden gaan

* wasmachine zodat we niet ons gehele garderobe mee hoeven te nemen

* kookgelegenheid (leuke bijkomstigheid is de bbq!)

* prima uitvalbasis om plaatsen te bezoeken zoals : Tempi, Meteora, Edessa.

Bij aankomst blij verrast, alles was zoals beschreven in de advertentie,

Keuken is meer dan compleet, van magnetron tot complete mini kook/oven -> prima te doen voor een gezin met 5

Tevens schoon (volgens hollandse maatstaven.. )

Oja en een fluisterstille airco in de masterbedroom!!

Strand aan je voeten, t lijkt er erg druk maar heb tot op heden nog elke dag wat strandbedjes.

Heb geen last van omgevingsgeluiden, mini supermarkten in de buurt.

Kan geen restaurants aanbevelen, we hebben er niet gegeten, we zijn nl elke 3e dag op pad gegaan en hebben toen buiten de deur gegeten.

Bakkers hebben we wel bezocht -> LEKKER 😊

Bij vragen : Reinold en Sotiria staan altijd voor je klaar .

Al met al ben ik zeer tevreden over alles!!

Maw wij hebben een top vakantie en kan t zeker aanbevelen en wie weet komen wij er in de toekomst weer!!

Graag geven we ook insider tips voor mooie plekjes waar je gewone toerist niet komt. Kijk ook een op onze site En natuurlijk bieden wij ons huis aan, zoals het werkelijk is. Dat wil zeggen: een eenvoudig en compleet ingericht vakantiehuis, dat flink groot is, comfortabel en natuurlijk schoon. Wat het huis af en het volgens ons ideaal maakt, is dat het werkelijk vlak aan zee ligt, een prachting uitzicht heeft en dat je hier een heerlijke strandvakantie heel goed kan combineren met uitstapjes naar bezienswaardigheden (Meteora, Vergina Dion ed.), wandelingen in bergen en natuur (Olympus nationaal park, Ossa, Pinios of Axios rivier delta, Tempi vallei) of met stedentrips naar bv Thessaloniki of Larissa. Bovendien is er goed openbaar vervoer. Kortom voor ieder wat wils, ook in voor- najaar en zelfs in de winter, als je op de Olympus en Kissafos kunt skieen en de bergen rondom het dorp wit besneeuwd zijn. Ideaal voor hiking, fietsen of bergbeklimmen. Ook de reiziger die rust, natuur en kontakt met de plaatselijke bevolking zoekt, komt dan aan zijn trekken. Jullie zijn een volgende keer van harte welkom! Onze gasten krijgen bovendien altijd een korting bij een volgende boeking, die ze ook mogen doorgeven aan familie of kennissen. TA LEME!

The place is ideally situated, directly at the broad, sandy beach in the village New Pori near the promenade/pedestrian area with beachbars & terraces. Supermarket, bakery, restaurants etc. in vicinity.

Nearby one finds quiet beaches & traditional mountain villages. The green forested foothills of the Olympus, Lower Olympus & Ossa mountains start just behind the village.

There are ample possibilities for excursions, walking, hiking, mountain climbing, cycling, birdwatching. bicycle-, motorbike-, quad-rental in the village, car-rental in the next.

(Archaeological) sights like Dion, Platamon-castle, the unique Tempi Gorge & Pinios river delta and the National Park Olympus, but also the Meteora, Pilion, Vergina or Pella are not far (~125km). There are excellent connections by public transport to neighboring villages & cities like Larissa, Katerini & Thessaloníki with their museums, sights, Byzantine churches and great shopping possibilities.

Medicinal Springs: in 15km in the village Kokkino Nero, The springs will be operable in 2013/14

Golf: No possibilities for Golf in the region

Ski: In winter there are possibilities for skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing in the region.

The best ones are:

ELATOCHORI Katerini (at 69 km) Height 1440-1700, 5 lifts and 10 ski tracks, snowboarding and sleigh track, total lengths 12 km.;

PILION near Volos (at 135 km) 5 Lifts, 7 green, red and black skitracks plus 5km cross country track, height 1170-1471 mtr.;

PERTOULI, Trikala (at 157km) 1170-1370 mtr. 4 green, blue and red ski tracks, total length 2000 m, 5 lifts, 3 cross country tracks total length 8 km,;

VERMION, Seli and 3-5 Pigadia, Naousa, (at 152 km) height 1430-2000 mtr, 16 lifts and 26 skitracks in all difficulty degrees.

In 60 km one can visit the military Skicentre at VRISSOPOULES near Elassona on the Olympus (with special permit only). Height 1900-2450 mtr. There is one skitrack and one lift, no further infrastructure like ski rental or restaurants.
