About the property

Spotlessly clean, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa very near Speightstown and beaches

St Clair is a beautiful 3 bedroom villa, newly furnished and decorated, just five minutes walk from the beach and close to all amenities including buses, shops, banks, bars and restaurants. There are two bathrooms, one en-suite, with showers. The villa has security bars on all windows and has a safe for precious items. There is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, another double bedroom and a further bedroom with two double beds. All bedrooms are air-conditioned.

The living area has two couches and a TV and the dining area has a table with six chairs. The kitchen is ample and well equipped. There are ceiling fans in every room and there is a standing fan to be used as you prefer. I provide a weekly maid service at no extra cost. Wi-Fi service is available for free.

The villa is situated on the West Coast opposite the Port St Charles Marina just off the main road, in a quiet residential street. The villa has a beautiful well-tended garden and upstairs veranda with sea views. There are chairs and loungers available for guests. There is a laundry room available for your use.

There is easy access to golf, diving schools and horse riding facilities as well as spa facilities nearby.

Activities: The rental is ideal for those who enjoy quiet, almost deserted beaches. However, for those who enjoy diving, water sports, horse riding, polo, cricket, golf and busier beaches they are to be found a very short distance from the house and can be accessed by public transport or car in less than 5 minutes. Speightstown is nearby with banks, shops and cafes and restaurants.

About Lynn Sellwood

Hello, I am just a lucky person who has a small house in Barbados. I bought it because I love the place and I love my house. I choose to rent it so that it is lived in because an empty house feels very unloved! I stay a couple of times a year to make sure everything is okay for me and you.

I live in South London when not in Barbados, working for a small charity, having worked in education (including two years in West Africa) all my life.

Why Lynn Sellwood chose St. Peter

I bought it because it is in a quieter part of the island. I swim every morning on the Port St Charles beach. I do enjoy the nightlife of Holetown but I like the quiet of my house at night.

Beautiful Property, perfect location.

This beautiful sparkling home is in a great, quiet location, walking distance to wonderful beaches, grocery stores, restaurants, banks, shops and transportation in Speightstown. It includes all the comforts of home, and is well taken care of by the owner and her delightful property manager and housekeeper! this is the best place to be to enjoy all Barbados has to offer from your home away from home. Beautiful villa close to Speightstown

When we arrived in torrential rain, Helen, the house manager, waited for us even though we were severely delayed at the airport due to the Virgin flight arriving at the same time & the extremely flooded roads with heavy traffic. We got there later than expected to go shopping for food, so she kindly offered to drive us to the local supermarket in Speightstown & dropped us back home after a quick detour to Chefette for take away dinner! When we got back home, she told us how to get to places either walking or by bus as we didn't rent a car. She was extremely helpful and very friendly! :) The villa was extremely clean & well maintained & exactly like the pictures so we were all very happy & impressed! :) I gave the details of the villa to our cousin as she was very impressed with the property too! The air con & fans worked perfectly to cool the rooms down before going to bed, especially on very hot, humid & rainy days (not normal for that time of year) & we all loved the outside, gated garden room! Unfortunately, due to rain most of our holiday, we didn't get a chance to use the upstairs sun loungers! The villa is about 8 minutes walk from the closest bus stop (leisurely pace) & another 8 to Speightstown main bus station. If you walk faster, obviously you'll get there sooner!The locals are very friendly & some chatted with us while we were walking! The villa is in a quiet, residential area so not much noise at night, only the crickets! The closest beach is also about 10 minutes walk. Francesca who comes to clean once a week is also very friendly & does a very thorough job of cleaning the villa! We highly recommended the villa to anyone who wishes to stay here! Thanks Lynn, Helen & Francesca! :D

We recommend going to Spiced Tongue by the bus stops (on the side where buses going to Bridgetown stop) as Debby is very friendly & sells very tasty food! Fish cutters, drumsticks & fried fish. Best get there early as she sells out pretty quickly! The yellow buses are very fast & basically a party bus with blaring music like the ZR's so avoid if you don't tolerate loud noise (I loved them & always tried to catch them!). If this is the case, the bigger, blue government buses are for you as there is no music. All buses are $2 dollars per ride so technically you could go from North to South for less than £1! :) You need to go to Oistins on a Friday night and we recommend George's to eat at, but you can choose from lots of different places! :)

Fabulous Long Stay

Myself and my young boys had a fabulous 6 weeks at this beautiful property. It was fully equipped with absolutely everything we needed and was close to the beach, restaurants and shops, perfect, just right for relaxing and unwinding from a hectic UK lifestyle. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. Friendly neighbourhood and close neighbours and the owner very helpful and accommodating.

Perfect home away from home!

Thank you Lynn for sharing your beautiful home, our three week stay was wonderful and relaxing, perfect location and we enjoyed the seven minute walk to the beach each day. Great location and walking distance to restaurants, bakery, and grocery stores.

The house was sparkling, clean and had everything available to us, and located in a quiet and pretty neighbourhood. I so enjoyed the garden, and roof terrace each afternoon!

The property manager Helen was delightful and so helpful as well as Francesca. We were so very well taken care of and very grateful for all the work involved to make our stay a very special one. Please pass on a very big thank you to everyone! Looking forward to next year.

St Clair is situated in Heywoods Park which is a residential area near Speightstown on the West Coast on the Caribbean. The immediate area is quiet and very safe and Speightstown is lively with a range of shopping, banking and leisure opportunities. The coast is beautiful with clean, white sand and clear blue water which is ideal for lazy paddling, snorkeling, swimming and water sports. You can find busy beaches and quiet, empty beaches within minutes of the house. The island of Barbados is only 14 miles by 21 miles so getting anywhere is easy and relatively quick. If you prefer the water of the Atlantic coast, you are only half an hour away.
