About the property

The apartment is situated in the centre of PLAGNE SOLEIL, one of the 10 interconnected villages making up the LA PLAGNE ski area, just a hop up from PLAGNE CENTRE, at an altitude of 2050 metres. You can drive up to the rear entrance and there is FREE open air car parking. Undercover fee-paying parking is also available. Located on the 3rd floor, in a quiet location, the apartment is 25sq m and has a large 4.5sq m balcony overlooking a piste and views over the mountains. Included is a lounge/dining area with a pull-out table, a well equipped, fully fitted kitchen with 4 ring hob, microwave cooker,fridge, dishwasher, and an eye-level oven .There is a newly refitted showeroom and separate WC. This is NOT a Studio apartment . A double bed is located in a SEPARATE bedroom and there are two single bunks in an 'Espace Nuit' or if preferred the sofa bed in the lounge can be converted into a very comfortable second double bed. Also included is underfloor heating and additional convector heaters. There is a DVD player/monitor, CD player/radio, books and games. A ski-locker is located below the apartments.

SATURDAY is usual changeover day, but Sunday changeover may be possible, please enquire.


Alternative Winter Sports: Just below Plagne Centre you will find the Olympic Bobsleigh Run used in the 1992 Albertville Olympics. Rides can be arranged/pre-booked.Outdoor heated pool at Plagne Bellcote. Hang - Gliding. Parapenting. Skating. Snow-shoe walking. Ski-doo hire.

Getting There: By car: Motorway from Calais to Albertville, superior dual-carriageway to Moutiers, then a further 15 miles via Aime up to La Plagne. Please note that it is illegal not to carry snow chains in the mountains during the winter. It is advisable to practise fitting them before your journey to the Alps.

By Train: Eurostar from London Waterloo and Ashford (St Pancras from Dec 07) via Paris. Alight at Aime for local buses or taxis up to La Plagne.

By Air: Fly to Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble,St Etienne or Chambery. Many tour operators offer transfers to independent travellers. Hire a car to drive to La Plagne. Regular bus services from Lyon, Chambery, Grenoble & Geneva. Trains from Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS Our local agent who can meet you on your arrival,hires bed linen,towels etc. Beds can be made up for your arrival. Lift passes can be obtained in advance. Ski hire and ski school can also be booked for you.More details can be made available upon enquiry.

Great apartment in a good location

The apartment is well appointed in a good location with everything within a short walk. The location is ideal with restaurants, a Spar, lift pass office, ski hire and ski school meeting point just a short distance (less than 2 minutes for all). We found free parking near the apartment and bus stop near by. The nearest piste is approximately 300 meters away so if the conditions are right then genuinely ski in ski out. The kitchen is well equipped with four ring hob, an oven and separate microwave so plenty for those who like self catering . The beds were comfortable and the rooms were warm and cozy. The shower is very nice and there's plenty of hot water. Overall a very well equipped apartment in a good location in one of the best ski areas in France. What's not to like.

As an owner, with an excellent in-resort agent in support, I am committed to equipping my apartment to meet clients expectations . There is just a small correction to make to the review though. Both of the nearest blue pistes, Ecartee and Dou du Praz are within 100m of my apartment block.

Perfect skiing vacation

We are of famlily with two children and enjoyed our stay in La PLagne Soleil very much. The location is very good both for beginners and more advanced skiers. Close to everything.

The apartment is very cosy and we enjoyed watching the provided movies in the evening. The local representant Kate was very helpful.

The only disadvantage was the absence of wifi (or maybe it was for the best because it was a lot of boardgames instead :))

Perfect for a family of 4

Previous experience of ski apartments has been cramped, however I was very pleased with the intelligent use of space in this property. The bedroom and sleeping areas were perfect for my family with 2 young boys and we loved having the use of the DVD player to watch movies in the evenings. As a keen cook, I also enjoyed being able to prepare evening meals in the kitchen which again, was much better than stocked with equipment than others I've used. Our arrival date meant a terrible journey into La Plagne (as reported on BBC News!) however, once we finally arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the local service agent Kate and Alan who settled us in. The unfortunate snow conditions for our drive in meant fabulous conditions for the first few days of skiing, made simple with local ski hire facilities and ski in ski out access from Plagne Soleil.

In the interest of fairness, the only drawbacks I can think are

1. Lack of a bath to soothe muscles after long days skiing. However I must say that the shower room was brand new and crystal clean.

2. No Wifi despite this being mentioned on arrival. Though 3G was reasonable all around La Plagne - though be sure to be on a good roaming package.

3. Underground parking fairly expensive, and outdoor parking elusive to find.

All in all a superb stay that I would gladly repeat, and recommend to others.

Lovely compact apartment

We stayed in this apartment over New Year 2014 - 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. It was compact but very well equipped and we found it very comfortable and cosy. It was well located, on the piste and with a well equipped spar in the development. The pizza takeaway and restaurant at Monica's were reasonably priced. We enjoyed watching the DVDs supplied. Firework show at Plagne Bellecote at new year was superb and worth the packed bus journeys. All in all we had a lovely ski holiday in this clean and welcoming apartment.

Superb, beautifully presented apartment

Beautifully furnished, very clean apartment in an excellent location with doorstep ski-ing included!

Surrounded by good facilities - shop, ski hire, ski school, restaurants - what more could you wish for?

The owners also provide video and dvd players with a good selection of films to watch.

The agents, Bob and Maureen are extremely helpful and you are sure of a good welcome on arrival.

This is a little gem of an apartment and can be highly recommended.

Plagne Soleil is situated at 2050m just above Plagne Centre. It is ideally placed on the slopes with very easy access for all abilities to the lift network. The apartments are built around a large, traffic free village square which includes ESF ski school. lift pass office, supermarket, ski hire shops, restaurants, cafe, bar, pizza takeaway and children's ski-club. The ESF ski school lessons meet up and start from this square. La Plagne is linked to Les Arcs by cable car, the combined area (Paradiski) offers 425 Kms of piste. At 2050m the snow cover in Plagne Soleil is regarded as very reliable. There are 139 lifts in the La Plagne area, serving 134 pistes.(11 Green, 79 Blue, 34 Red and 19 black).There are dedicated snowboarder parks and a halfpipe at Plagne Bellcote. For cross country skiers there are 90 Kms of trails. In the La Plagne area there are 21 mountain restaurants. A free bus service links Pl. Soleil to Pl. Villages and Pl.Centre to Pl.1800, Pl.Bellcote and Belleplagne.
