About the property

Private National Park location with bars / restaurants, pools, tennis close by

Casa Paradiso is in its own private grounds above Lake Garda 2km / 5 mins drive from the charming village of Vesio. It is situated on the edge of a national park full of picnic areas and footpaths and surrounded by meadows and woodland.

The villa comfortably sleeps 8 (plus infant) with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining room, a kitchen, a living room with fireplace (wood provided) and several covered and open terraces. Three of the four bedrooms have French windows onto a large south facing first floor balcony with vines. There are two outside covered dining areas one with outside fireplace and BBQ.

Great for kids with lots to explore; mountain stream to play in; a climbing frame, slide and swing.

Nearby restaurants, swimming pools, tennis courts, mountain biking, climbing and lake sailing. Excellent bar / country restaurant with free wifi is 3 minute walk away. Two large swimming pools with bars are 5 minutes drive (la Berna and la Fenice). Mountain biking and tennis courts/ lessons are both nearby.

About Ulrike Murphy

We are a family of five, with three daughters aged between 10 and 16. We bought Casa Paradiso because we love Italy and we wanted a home with lots of space, nature and sport for the kids.

Why Ulrike Murphy chose Lake Garda

We chose Casa Paradiso because of its beautiful private location close to the local villages and the lake and the opportunities for us and the kids to pursue active recreations like mountain walking, mountain biking and tennis as well as lying by a pool and eating wonderful Italian food and wine. We stay 4 to 5 weeks each year and always have great holidays with our friends.

SPORTS AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES.

- Swimming. La Berna outside pool, gardens and bar and La Fenice hotel are both 5 minutes by car.

- Tennis. There are a number of nearby tennis hotels offering courts and / or coaching (e.g. Hotel Pineta Campi).

- Hiking / mountain biking. From the house the extensive public footpaths and picnic areas of the national park are immediately accessible. There are routes up to Passo Nota and Passo Tremalzo and over the passes to Lago di Ledro. Mountain bikes can be hired (e.g. Skyclimber, Tennis Centre Lago di Garda)

- Climbing/ Via Ferrata cableways and canyoning. Courses and excursions can be booked locally. (The Via Ferrata are the paths and cableways built into the cliffs around the lake during the First World War)

- Sailing. Sailing courses are available in Riva. (e.g. at www.dulacetduparc.com/en/active-garda-lake.html)

COAST / BEACH

The nearest lake beach, at Limone on Lake Garda, is an 8km / 20 minute drive. Here you can walk along the famous promenade past restaurants and cafes, sunbathe, swim from the beach, hire paddleboats, windsurf or catch a ferry to other towns on the lake such as Malcesine on the eastern coast and Riva at the northern tip.

OTHER LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:

Vesio, the attractive local village, where there are shops, bars and restaurants(2km);

Pieve, built on the edge of a 500m cliff overlooking the lake (5km);

Riva, a beautiful town at the head of the lake great for sightseeing and shopping (20km)

Verona with its famous Roman arena, where operas are held in the summer, is around an hour and half by car.

TRAVEL:

Car hire is essential.

- Brescia (Montichiari airport) is 75km / 80 mins.

- Verona (Villafranca airport) 110km / 100 mins.

- Bergamo (Orio Al Serio airport) 120km / 100 mins and

- Venice (Marco Polo airport) 220km / 150 mins.

Access to the house is via a gravel driveway and road, which may not be suitable for cars with low suspension. Ample parking on the driveway.

Tranquilité absolue!

La situation de cette grande maison est magnifique pour sa tranquillité après un bord du lac très touristique.

Lors des soirées déjà frais en fin de septembre, nous avons appréciée la cheminée.

La nouvelle installation d'internet dans la maison est un vrai plus et fonctionne impécablement!

Nous avons dû nous habituer que l'eau du robinet n'est pas potable, qu'on doit cuire l'eau avant utilisation et se rincer la bouche avec de l'eau en bouteille.

Super gelegenes Haus mit allem, was man braucht. Ideal für Menschen, die die Ruhe lieben. Trotzdem so gelegen, dass man alles Notwendige in Kürze erreichen kann. Top Wanderungen ab Haus! Hat uns super gefallen.

Sehr schön und toll gelegen!

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und abgelegen.

Die Zufahrt ist allerdings auf den letzten 200 Metern für Motorräder nicht ganz einfach. Zimmer und Einrichtung sehr gut. Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Kontakt mit Vermieter ausgezeichnet. 200 Meter entfernt gutes Restaurant. In der Nähe super Einkaufsmöglichkeit (Alpe di Garda) für einheimische Produkte.

Sehr gute Betreuung durch den Vermieter, die Angaben des Online-Inserates bezüglich Ausstattung und Lage waren korrekt.

Das Ferienobjekt ist weiter zu empfehlen!

Besondere Attraktionen: Sportmöglichkeiten aller Art- wandern, Radfahren, surfen und nicht zu vergessen: Gleitschirmfliegen! Nettes Restaurant 200m Fußweg Val d`Egoi.

Die sehr ruhige Lage des Grundstückes läßt einen sehr gut schlafen. Die Bergwelt ist phantastisch.

Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht.

In der Küche würde ich mir mal neue Pfannen wünschen.

Der Kamin im Wohnzimmer erschaffte eine wolige und anheimelnde Wäreme.

Morgens auf dem Balkon in der Sonne zu liegen war schon sehr schön.

Wer die Einsamkeit allerdings nicht mag, sollte sich lieber woanders einquartieren.

Das Domizil war sauber und gepflegt. Der Ordner im Haus gab gute Anregungen für Unternehmungen.

Als Restaurant fanden wir das Hotel Fenice in Vesio gut.

Weiterempfehlung auf jeden Fall für Bekannte, die Ruhe suchen, hier werden sie sie finden!

Der Anfahrstweg ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber nach dem erstenmal kein Problem mehr. Ein wunderschöne Lage am Fuße der Berge. Total ruhig und einfach toll. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, alles was man braucht ist da. Ein sehr großer Kühlschrank mit extra Getränkefach.

Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet.

Bei Problemen oder Fragen sind die Verwalter einfach über Telefon zu erreichen und kommen auch sofort vorbei.

Ganz in der Nähe gibt es ein sehr gutes Restaurant.

Natürlich hat man einen längeren Weg zum Einkaufen, aber das nimmt man gerne in kauf.
