'We enjoyed the peace and beautiful surroundings'
'L'Hermenault is certainly a lovely spot and we liked the unspoilt feel of the village '
'The Wheelhouse was very well equipped and the dishwasher was a real boon. The bedding was lovely, nice to have quality cotton duvet covers and pillowcases. The cooker was super and the quickness of the gas hob great to use. The amount of crockery and cutlery was generous and the patio plates and beakers ideal for our grandchild to use'
'Would recommend to anyone. Pool was excellent'
'Yes, we had a lovely time at Thue thanks. It's in a good position for several places we went to (Puy Du Fou, Vouvant, Parc Floral, Fontenay etc) and is in a lovely spot itself. Many thanks.'
'Loved the space. Really well equipped, especially liked the coolboxes, buckets, spades and bikes that made it all a lot easier'

Most of our immediate family (19) came to this marvelous rural location. With 9 children and an age range from 4 to 76 the property proved spacious and practical.
We didn't want luxury or a place where we were for ever telling the children to be careful. We had no problems sorting out bedrooms, plenty of hot water and good bathrooms and loos. There was seating for 20 at one long dining table inside so we could all eat together in the evenings - which we really enjoy. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Table tennis and table football provided good fun but the star was the swimming pool. We thought it might be a bit small but far from it. 27' across and 4' deep was ideal for both children and adults. There were plenty of bikes in the garage (we needn't have bothered taking our own) and 2 well designed permanent barbecues. The garden is large and there are loads of recliners and lounge chairs though the 6 acres of woodland proved impenitrable. We didn't watch TV (though there is satellite and all the BBC channels) but we did watch a few dvds together on the large HD screen for our 'movie nights'. - there are plenty of dvds there though we wished we'd taken a few favourites.. Loads to do locally (good walking) and the beaches a couple of miles passed La Tranche are fabulous and the body surfing great fun for all.
For an active holiday for a large group The Mill would take a lot of beating - highly recommended.
Spacious interesting house in a secluded location. Well provisioned from plenty cutlery to two fridges. Lots of information about the area, places to shop and places to visit. Wonderful private swimming pool that we all loved. Thinking about hung back next year.
We had a wonderful time in Thue. We tested it to the full: 21 adults for a week with 3 days of pouring rain! The hot water never failed, the kitchens were terrific (and abundantly stocked with plates/utensils/etc.), all the machines (dishwashers, clothes washer/dryers, fridges and freezers, cookers) worked a treat and the spaces (even with all of us inside) were very comfortable. We easily sat 21 around the Mill House dining table. When the sun finally come out, we were able to explore the beautiful countryside around the area, although we'll have to come back to try the swimming pools.
Everyone agreed it was splendid. Thank you.
The property looks great from the outside but its not until we had a look around that we saw its real character.
A very homely kitchen and dining area with a living room that is perfect if you want to get out of the sun for an afternoon. Lots of bedrooms and a games room in the basement.
The pool was amazing as were the grounds, lots of bbqing and exploring. We went for a great meal up the road where they were really friendly and the food was top notch.
The place is perfect for a secluded family holiday or a group of friends looking for a peaceful week in the sun.
We stayed at The Mill in June and had a fantastic time!
We chose The Mill because of its rural location and we were not disappointed.
The Millhouse was brilliant for 13 of us and we made good use of the pool which was lovely, the garden was great for the kids to just run around and they loved the bikes too!!
There’s plenty of outdoor tables and chairs and we used the 2 bbq's most evenings.
We didn’t venture out much as there were lots of outdoor toys to keep the kids entertained.
The supermarket in Fontenay was very big and had everything we needed.
We enjoyed our stay at The Mill so much that we are returning next year!!
We had a fantastic stay at the Mill and used it as a base for following the Tour de France. The children especially loved the pool and the adults had some fiercely competitive table tennis matches!
We had the bbq going every evening and all sat round the big garden tables - 16 of us in total. The large supermarket at Fontenay was excellent value - with some nice shops and cafe too.
Overall, a great holiday - the relaxing, peaceful break we were looking for. Thank you!
