We spent the month of September in this cozy and well designed apartment in Paris. It was just as described on the website..close to public transit and grocery stores and in a neighborhood that felt like the "real Paris". Helene was extremely gracious and efficient in all communications and her friend Sylvie welcomed us on arrival and helped with all the little details. The front desk and other residents in the building were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the nearby library and our favourite cafe, the Quotidien. Our adult son was even able to comfortably stay with us for a week! It was a quiet, safe haven, with a comfortable bed, after a day of "tourisiting" around Paris. Many thanks for such a positive experience.
Very nice apartment in a safe neighborhood. Easy walk to metro or skip metro and walk downtown. I'd happily stay there again.
We are a binational family of 4 from Australia. I am Parisian and know the 15ème arrondissement quite well so it's no secret to me how great that area is, with the street markets, village-in-a-town-feeling and super-convenient transport to tourist sites. My 2 teenager girls and I fitted perfectly in this apartment. It got a bit cramped when my tall husband later joined us (the queen bed alcove setup got a bit tight) but overall it was a very positive experience. We never met Helen but a friend of hers kindly took over with keys and questions, plus we had the help of the Reception staff, for taxis and such. The apartment is at back building, away from street noises, quite peaceful with a leafy inner courtyard to enjoy on our way out of the lift. Lots of older people in the building but that also made it quiet and pleasant, everybody very friendly, walking their dogs and chatting to one another and saying hello to us. The balcony is pleasant to enjoy when the neighbour is not outside having his smoke! (ah Paris and its persisting smokers). The apartment is very well furnished, small but everything is provided. Finally I really appreciated the extra personal touch that Helen provided when she found my forgotten pj's and kindly put them at the Reception... clean and folded! Sweet.
If you want to experinece how does Paris live and stay away from the crew, this is the apartment for you. It is at a nice, safe neighourd with shops, resturants, and three farmers' market/week. The apartment is very very quiet, clean, fully equieped that is comformtable for four people. We realy enjoyed out stay.
The apartment is very cozy, well-kept and clean. Helene was extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. The location is great for up to four people but we managed to also accomodate our 1.5-year old quite comfortably. Everything was in great shape, including all appliances, the kitchen and the bathrooms. The apartment building is itself a very quiet and pleasant place, with plenty of plants, little gardens and a park with a playstructure. George Brossand park is beautiful and five minutes away, has plenty of space for kids to play; couple of boulangeries are located on the same block; the supermarket is across the road and the local market is pretty good; metro station Convention is a few blocks away.
We have just returned from Paris and had a wonderful time staying here. The apartment itself is very cosy and comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Decor is quirky and fun with a lot of character which makes you feel at home rather than being in a bland, functional place. Helene and her husband are very friendly, and filled the fridge with beers. milk and coke for our arrival. We loved the location. The area arond Convention is very vibrant, with lots of cafes, shops, boulangeres, supermarkets...anything you need to live the Parisian way. The apartment is tucked in a quiet little street, and faces onto the interior garden area so is very quiet. George Brassens park is very near and is lovely. Rue de Convention turns into one long market three times a week and is well worth exploring. The area is served by metro 12, which takes in main tourist sites, as does the bus 95. We loved returning from more touristy areas each day to 'our' neighbourhood.
Centrally located apartment, in the homely 15th arrondissement in Paris, not far from the Eifel Tower and Montparnasse, with métro and bus stations very nearby.
