Fully air-conditioned, tastefully decorated and luxuriously furnished corner apartment on the third floor of an Art Deco building in the chic Musicians’ Quarter. Parquet flooring throughout, French windows all round opening on to balconies from the main double bedroom, kitchen and reception area. Brand new, fully equipped kitchen, new shower room with large-size shower tray and separate toilet. King-size bed in comfortable double bedroom plus two large sofa beds in the reception area. Elegant dining suite and large TV with Cable, Internet (if you have a lap-top) and a good stock of DVDs. Cafes, groceries and shopping on your doorstep, and the beach, Promenade des Anglais, Old Nice, the pedestrian precinct’s many restaurants, museums and the train station only a few minutes’ walk away. Children allowed if above 6 years old. No pets.
"Located in the « Musician » area, the 59 rue Rossini flat is midway between the train station, the “promenade des anglais” with its fabulous beach and the shopping center, i.e. fifteen minutes walk.
The housing is charming and typical with its english atmosphere. It’s also a flat where everything is put in place in a practical way for the tenants.
The living room is cosy with its several sofas and especially its two so comfortable and relaxing armchairs.
When you enter the apartment everything is in place : bed ready, towels and dish towels, the whole thing in a clean atmosphere.

We spent 2 weeks in this apartment in June 2016 and found the whole experience most rewarding.
The description of the apartment and its facilities were totally accurate and everything functioned as expected. The apartment itself was extremely clean and well maintained as was the apartment building itself. A quick call to the owner invariable gave a quick response and an efficient solution to any queries we had.
The position of the apartment itself was ideal as we were keen to explore other towns and sights on the coast and the short walk to the railway station made his a pleasure and not a chore. Likewise a short walk to the Promenade gave us access to the Azur-busses which connected to towns not directly on the rail network (and for a very reasonable flat fare go €1.50).
Amenities and shopping were very handy indeed with a small local supermarket just a hundred yards away and much larger stores within 10 minutes walk on avenue Messina. Although not as densely thronged with restaurants as in the old town or pedestrianised area of rue de Paris (10 minutes away), the area around offered a good selection of reasonable restaurants and bistros. We were not disappointed.
All in all the stay was restful away from the crowds but a short walk or an occasional tram ride took us to the bustle and excitement of the old town.
I’ll be recommending this apartment whole-heartedly to friends and will certainly consider it as a place to stay if I return to Nice.
My wife and I spent a month in Nice. We found the apartment to be ideally located. It is in a lovely residential neighborhood in downtown Nice, within an easy walk to the train station, beaches, the old town, the central square, (Place Massena); shopping, and outdoor cafes. There are also several excellent bakeries and museums nearby. (Our favorite bakery was MB – Michel Bonnefoi – on Boulevard Gambetta. Other museums slightly farther away are easy to get to by bus, which is only one euro and stops a few blocks from the apartment.
The apartment is a corner apartment; with a large living room/dining room area that has high ceilings, large French windows and lots of light. The entire apartment is very attractively decorated. There are two small balconies with café tables off the living room and kitchen. There are sufficient linen and towels, and they are replaced weekly. The kitchen is relatively small but is extremely well equipped. It also contains a small washer/dryer unit and a dishwasher. There is a fully contained shower in the bathroom and a comfortable queen size bed in the separate bedroom. - The owner, who is friendly and helpful, has provided detailed information on the operation of all the appliances and electronics, wi fi, cd player, cable TVs and stereo, emergency phone numbers as well as information on local attractions, dining and shopping. It was a level of detail that we had not seen in any of the other places we have rented in the past.
We would strongly recommend the apartment and plan to go back there when we return to Nice.
I rented this apartment in May2009 with a friend and my two children. The property was fantastic, it was clean, well equipped, spacious and in a fantastic location for exploring Nice and the surrounding areas. The owners left fantastic information about the local area which really helped. We used the local trains and buses finding it wasy to get to Monte Carlo, Antibes and Cannes. The restaurants in the old town were fantastic and we got a real feel for Nice.
Would thoroughly recomment this property to anyone, and hope to stay again next year.
The Casino supermarket, launderette and bakery are all on Blvd. Gambetta, three minutes' walk away. Also try “Huit à Huit” (open from 8-8) on Rue Verdi. Trains: Nice's main station, the Gare Nice Ville is just a five-minute walk away. Trains to Monaco, Cannes, St. Tropez, Italy run every 30 minutes or so
Beach: Depending on your pace, it will take 8 to 10 minutes to walk to the Promenade des Anglais and the beach. Walk one block to Rue Berlioz and then turn right on it, following it all the way and come out on the Promenade between the famous Hotel Negresco and the charming Musee Massena. To reach the pedestrian zone (Zone Pietones) with its multitude of restaurants walk east (right) from the flat to the end of Rue Rossini, cross Bvd. Victor Hugo and carry straight on. It's about an eight minute walk. This also brings you to the edge of Old Nice which has enchanting, winding streets, its shops selling art, crafts and boutique fashions and also the great antiques and flower markets.
