We have a lovely, spacious 4-room apartment, 104 m2 on 1st floor, cosy furnishings: living/dining room with open fireplace, satellite-TV, video, CD-player, stereo unit, DVD. 2 double bedrooms. 1 room with bunk beds. Open kitchen (oven, dishwasher, micro wave). Two bathrooms, one with a shower/WC(washing mashine) and one with a bath/WC. Balcony 40 m². Terrace furniture. Wonderful view of the mountains and the famous waterfall Staubbach. Please note: apartment for non-smokers.

Apartment house, on the outskirts, in a quiet, sunny position. For shared use: lawn sunning area 30 m², barbecue. In house: ski storage, drying room. Communal covered parking.

Grocers 20 m, restaurant 600 m, ski bus stop, bus stop 20 m, railway station 1.1 km. Swimming pool 1.1 km, tennis 100 m, cable car 3.5 km, mountain railway 1.1 km, cross-country ski trail 50 m. Minigolf 400 m. The house is situated in the middle of a walking area with a view of the Staubbach - waterfalls.

The Lauterbrunnen Valley, regarded as one of the most spectacular glacial valleys in Europe, lies surrounded by the unspoilt natural beauty of the magnificent Swiss Alps. Lauterbrunnen's most famous feature, the cascading 300 m high Staubbach waterfalls, becomes even more impressive when illuminated at night.

Lauterbrunnen is a valley famous for its waterfalls, giving good access to the whole mountain area below the Eiger, Jungfrau and Mönch. Your rail pass will take you to places such as Wengen, Grindelwald, Mürren, Interlaken and Kleine Scheidegg.

Skiing with a view on the Eiger (3970m.), Mönch (4099m.) and the Jungfrau (4158m.)

The Jungfrau Region is the heart of skiing in the Bernese Oberland, and its trio of resorts – Wengen (1274 m), Mürren (1650 m) and Grindelwald (1034 m) have long been a favourite of the British. They still offer some of the best skiing to be had in the Alps. The three areas are linked in the Jungfrau Top Ski Region, with a single pass covering the whole vast spread (2 days Fr.105, 7 days Fr.267) or individual passes valid for each area (1 day Fr.52, 2 days Fr.95). All the resorts have schools offering both daily classes and private lessons in skiing, snowboarding and other, wackier techniques for all proficiencies; class lessons tend to cost from around Fr.45 for three hours. All of them also lay on various diversions for skiers taking a break, including curling, ice-skating, sledging and adventure activities such as tandem paragliding. Of you book your skipass 21 days up-front on the internet you can get 20% discount.

We bought our house because it was in an unique place. We already came to Lauterbrunnen each year on our holiday so why not buy something. We saw our apartment, fall in love with it and we hope that you will feel the same.

What makes this apartment unique

You can see beautiful views from each room, even the bedrooms have amazing views. The balcony serrounds the whole apartment so you can enjoy the mountains sitting outside.

We´ve been back from beautiful Lauterbrunnen for a week now, and we miss it all.

We had a woundeful time and we liked your house very much.



The system is very good with buses in the valley and the trains and gondolas. The race was very intresting and they all did fine, the five from our company that ran.



I hope you have as nice weather as we had when you arrive this weekend. We had sun 6 out of 7 days, well upon the alp tops. ; ) Also want to mention that the garage was superb to have. ; )

A really cosy apartment on the first floor of a Chalet in a beautiful setting overlooking a waterfall.All facilities as listed are available except for the second bathroom which was under construction. However as we were a small family of three (self,wife and daughter) , together with a family lady friend it did not really matter.

The bus just outside the property,connects every half hour to the trains at the the Lauterbrunnen train station making it very convenient , or if one prefers the walk will take 15 minutes up a rather steep incline.

The property is well maintained and advance booking is recommended. The owner was very helpful and prompt in replying the emails.

We explored most of the Swiss Alps making use of a 6 day Rail Pass to cover all the Jungfrau region. We very strongly recommend this Jungfraubahanenpass , costs 195 SF for the 6 days unlimited travel on all the regions Trains.

Certainly will recommend the property to a familyand we hope to stay in it once again.

Owner's Response: We thank you for your kind response. The second shower is ready and is very comfortable if you are staying with a larger family. The Jungfrautrainpass is a very good value and they even upgraded it with the train al the way up to the Jungfraujoch or the Schilthorn. This is all included in the Jungfrautrainpass. Very good apartment. Good value for money

The apartment is very comfortable, well equipped and in good location.

It served us as a convenient base for tours in the near area.

However I have 2 comments:

1. No Internet connection in the apartment. This is definitely a disadvantage.

2. The Prohibition of taking shower in the appartment between 20:00 pm and 7:00 am is very strange and uncomfortable. I presume that it is a local regulation

or even nationwide regulation.

Your comment on the shower is logical if you are not used by rules like these, but in Switzerland it is common that you don't take showers after 22.00, not 20.00. we hope that we may welcome you once again in our apparment. When you enter Lauterbrunnen, drive towards Stechelberg. You will pass the church, you drive another 400 meters and you will find our apartment on the right-hand site. It is a white house with a balcony around the whole first floor. The bus stop is just across the road. The bus will take you to the train station or to the cable car in Stechelberg. The cable car goes all the way to the top of the Schilthorn.
