Relaxing cabin with 220 desert views! and many of the amenities of a modern hotel suite - Step inside and you will find a new kitchen, flat screen TV, internet, great viewing windows, stone shower, and huge recliner chairs. Step out front and you will find a 220 degree view with a cute sitting porch and fireplace. In the back is a private backyard with a large picnic table and are very nice BBQ.
Nicely appointed so you won't miss most of your creature comforts. Clean house and property and Mike is a very attentive owner. Being on the doorstep of Joshua Tree National Park makes this location exceptional and man, is it quiet -night and day. My wife and I (first-time desert visitors) had a great time here. Can't beat the price either.
Elegant, simple, and well thought out. For a secluded, (even though there is a neighbor very close) and scenic get-away, this cabin has wonderful vistas day and night. The owner is great at customer service. Just a cellphone call away, all my questions were answered. I'll be using this cabin in the future(probably this winter).
My boyfriend and I came out for a restful weekend and to see a show at Pappy and Harriet's. Beautiful views, very quiet, comfortable and spacious enough for the two of us. Location is great, not too far from town. We will totally stay here again!
We had a great time. The house is in between two entrances to the park. The house is comfortable and Mike is responsive and accommodating. I recommend this property without reservation.
This cabin exceeded nearly all our expectations - it was recently updated and well stocked (pots, pans, salt, pepper, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) and as soon as we made a trip to the Joshua Tree farmer's market (Saturdays) and the main grocery store (Stater Bros) we were set for the week. The furniture was comfortable, bluetooth speaker was great, and the patio extended the living space into a very private, large yard in front of the house. We primarily used the cabin as our home base and spent the days hiking in Joshua Tree National Park. There are two entrances to the park on side of the park the cabin is located - one in 29 Palms and one in Joshua Tree. (Although the cabin is very near to the park, you cannot just walk in by going down the road as those roads are private property, despite what you may guess from Google maps.) The cabin itself is located between the two downtowns in a very rural area, which we preferred, but it does mean it's about a ten min drive to stores, restaurants, etc.
Mike was very attentive - checking in before we arrived to make sure we had the entry info, then after we arrived to make sure we were all set. Throughout the stay he was quick to respond to questions while giving us our privacy to enjoy the cabin.
The only drawback in our perspective was that the cabin was a single (large) room, aside from the bathroom and laundry room, which means that the bed is in the main living space. We had not realized this and it made sleeping a bit difficult for our toddler. Looking back at the pictures I probably should have realized this but wanted to mention so others are aware that there is not a separate sleeping space if you need one.
If you are vegetarian, a great restaurant recommendation nearby in Joshua Tree is the Crossroads Cafe. Kid-friendly, laid-back, diverse menu and great vibe.
Even with the single-room drawback for us personally, I could not imagine that we would have found a better mix of location, atmosphere and price, and highly recommend this rental to others. (Thanks Mike!)
My husband and I had a much needed relaxing weekend here with our dog. The place is adorable, and perfect for 2 people. Mark was extremely accommodating from the beginning, and he is super quick with his responses. The location is great, almost exactly in the middle between the two main Joshua Tree Park gates. Many hours were spent on the porch in the lounge chairs reading and enjoying the view. We will definitely be back!
