If an amazing view in a quintessential beach town with miles of walking beach, with all the amenities you need, are your top priorities, then this is the cottage for you!
This sweet, spotless cottage sits high on the Neskowin Crest, has a magnificent view of the ocean, yet is just a one-half mile walk to the beach. (You can walk for miles on this beach.) It was recently updated with all new windows, siding, insulation and a new bath. Also, don't miss the fact that it has an AMAZING VIEW of the ocean and beach from high above Neskowin. (Please note that during the wetter Spring months you may have to drive one mile to the beach access in Neskowin, due to a wet pathway.)
This 2 bedroom home features a Queen sized bed with lovely linens and new, good-quality (Ethan Allen) mattresses, plus a second bedroom with a trundle bed that can sleep two guests. The bath is newly updated with a shower (no tub).
The kitchen is ready for you, with lots of kitchen supplies and cookware, electric stove, coffee maker and refrigerator. Cable TV and a comfortable living room. (Please note that there is no WiFi, but you can access it at Hawk Creek Café in Neskowin.)
A wall of new, huge picture windows line the sitting and living area. Watch the waves crash and the sun set each evening. Enjoy sitting outside on the private patio. You can walk to the beach in a matter of minutes most of the year. If there is a rainy spell the path to the beacg may not be passable, however it is just one mile to walk or drive the core area of Neskowin.
A specialty grocery store and a wonderful small café is also available in Neskowin. Don't miss the Hawk Creek Café pizza, clam chowder and great sandwiches and salads.
Four person maximum. There is an extra $10 fee per night for guests over 2. Maximum 4 guests. Not safe for children due to high retaining walls.
NO DOGS ALLOWED.
Lovely home with great view! Enjoyed a spectacular sunset and starry nights. Very comfortable. Thanks so much!
We spent New Year's weekend at Seagull's View and had a wonderful time. The house is cozy and well appointed. The view from the house is amazing. My 9 year old is fearful of Tsunamis but was immediately put at ease when he saw how high up the house stood. Some advice if you are going during the Winter is to make sure to bring tall rain boots if you want to walk the path to the beach and also lots of warm clothes as the house is a bit chilly if the propane stove isn't running.
We enjoyed the spectacular views, the cozy cabin, the wetlands walk, and of course the beach. This place was perfect for our anniversary stay.
The whole place was well equipped. And we enjoyed the local cafe and restaurant as well. Park your car and hang out for a few days.
This property was perfect. It had everything we needed for cooking, cute and cozy decor, comfortable beds, outstanding view, and a fun walk to the town of Neskowin and the beach. Would return without question!
The cottage was everything the 4 of us could have wanted for our 3 days on the coast! Beautifully decorated, well stocked kitchen, and the best possible view overlooking the little town of Neskowin and the sea. My husband and his brother and wife loved it, too. We met great residents and enjoyed the hiking and quiet atmosphere. I was able to relive memories of my high school days while living in Hebo and graduating from Nestucca Union High School in 1962.....yes, 54 years ago!
This has been our 2nd stay at the cottage. The place is very comfortable with a great location. While located on a cliff away from the ocean, (sitting on the patio) you can still see/hear/smell the ocean. The neighborhood is quiet and the few people we talked to were very friendly. The cottage is perfect for 2 people but a third person can definitely be accommodated. I would not recommend the cottage for renters with small children or pets (because of the cliff). The place is well maintained and clean. We also like Neskowin with its quaint houses, the beach and the little café. For outside entertainment you are on your own but then there is always Lincoln City and Newport. One suggestion I have is to clean out some of the kitchen drawers/cabinets and the two closets in the bedrooms. There is a lot of "stuff" in there that probably no one uses and it would give you more space to store your own belongings. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Christine Smith - Tucson/Arizona
Charming cottage located on the top of a ridge facing due west overlooking the pacific. We sat outside in the adirondack chairs watching the sunset over the pacific both evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils needed for preparing meals. The living room has two 8 foot wide windows facing the ocean as well, after the sunset we relaxed on the sofa and looked out the windows as the sky turned a multitude of colors.
We walked down to the beach from the cottage, it's about 1/2 mile trek, a combination of a small road and a walking path through wetlands. We walked along the lengthy beach which goes on for many miles and through the town of Neskowin with it's array of cottage's with flowering gardens. We liked the small town feel of the area, which is all residential and rental properties.
It was peaceful, spectacular views, easy to get to and Neskowin is picturesque small town. We loved it!
