While we were a little apprehensive about the location, this older D.C. neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The Metro line being only a 10 minute walk made our sightseeing jaunts very convenient. We were also able to walk to an unusual Walmart in about 15 minutes. The weather was horrible and I was impressed when the property manager came by to shovel the snow from the steps. The house itself is clean, updated and roomy for our family group of 3 teens and 4 adults.
We were impressed with how clean the apartment was and how nicely furnished. The owner was very helpful in showing us around and we really appreciated the subway cards, water bottles, and bottle of wine waiting for us:) The walk to the metro was a little further than we thought, but the location was otherwise convenient and we appreciated the parking space for our van.
Perfect spot--close to the metro and plenty of space for 3 families.
Property was very comfortable. Had all amenities needed. A little further from the city than I thought. Would not have been comfortable walking to metro late at night so we took car service everywhere ,which was fine.
The home was very easy to get to, had inside gate parking and was just the right size for the 10 of us. We would definitely stay thete again.
We rented this house for a Girl Scout troop trip to Washington DC. We had 6 girls who were 12-13 years old and 2 adults. There are plenty of sleeping areas but no one wanted to sleep downstairs where there the 2 futons are located. The house worked out perfectly for us. The bathrooms are upstairs which could be a drawback for some but it was fine for us. We enjoyed the large dining room table and kitchen. The house had character and was beautifully renovated and decorated. We walked to the metro every day . It is only about a 10 minute walk and is straight down the street. The metro does close at dark at the fort trotten stop so you can't depend on it at night. There is parking in back but please note it is narrow and you might have to back it in if you have a large vehicle such as the 12 passenger van we had. Sherman was very helpful and responsive. We appreciated having the house to keep us all under one roof and let everyone relax every night after some very busy days! Thank you for being great hosts.
