About the property

Walk To Lift, Ski To Door, Soak In Hot Tub, Walk To Apres Ski And Dinner In Town

Best location in town!!! 3 bedroom/2 bath SISO (ski in/ski out) condo!!! Brand new bathrooms, fireplace, floors, furniture, ski/boot storage, paint, lighting and big screen TV. There is a queen bed in the master, a queen in one guest room and 2 sets of bunk beds in the third bedroom to sleep 8.

The outdoor hot tub is just feet away and sits to the side of the ski run, making all the skiers envious of the fun at the end of your ski day. The double eagle complex consists of 2 buildings and 19 units--small and intimate. There is also access to a village swimming pool which is heated and only a block away. It is open all year round except for a few weeks in late September until Thanksgiving. Summer in Breckenridge is as glorious as the winter! (see activities list). The laundry room is conveniently located across the hall.

You don't have to incur the extra expense of a rental car if you stay here! The Denver airport has public transportation which delivers you and picks you up at your front door. From the condo, walk down the street to the charming historic town with its fabulous shopping and fine restaurants. At the end of your skiing day, you take four o'clock run to your backyard and in the morning, cross the street to the snowflake lift which connects to the whole mountain, with skiing for all abilities.

Two shuttle stops are nearby to take you to all the base skiing areas and around town, including the grocery store. It's totally hassle free and allows the flexibility of everyone doing their own thing and then meeting up at the condo at the end of the day.

About Julie Zemel

In 2006, we moved from San Francisco to Denver to start a family where we could embrace our passion for the outdoors. We have dreamed about having a place to call home in the mountains since our first year here when we experienced all of the amazing opportunities for skiing, hiking, biking and fun Breckenridge has to offer for our whole family.

Julie Zemel purchased this condo in 2014

Why Julie Zemel chose Breckenridge Area

We spent several years renting various condos on various mountains before deciding that there is no better place to be than this small complex.

What makes this condo unique

Convenience: No car needed! Walk to ski lift, ski to door, soak in connected hot tub, walk to apres ski without worrying about a designated driver.

Comfort: 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are perfect for a group of friends or a couple of families.

Mountain: Breck is just the best! Its got so much terrain for every level of skier/boarder.

Town: Breck isn't just another Intrawest pre-fab ski village with the usual array of national chains. It's a charming town with locally-owned restaurants, bars, shops, etc. All in easy walking distance from our condo!

Neighbors: Our condo is in a very small complex with owner-occupied units so everyone is friendly and respectful.

Family summer fun!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Double Eagle property - it was GREAT! Walking to Main St was terrific so you didn't mess with parking and fighting traffic with everyone. Location to get to Gondola and back to Highway 9 was easy (we went to Buena Vista & Leadville too on day trips) so this was a great location for many mountain adventures. The condo was as advertised - updated, tons of space, great for us and the 3 kids to spread out and be together - or have space too. We'd recommend it to anyone and will be using it again!!

Wonderful condo in perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a fabulous weekend of spring skiing while staying in this comfortable, perfectly located condo! Our party was five adults and there was plenty of space for us to kick back and relax after skiing. We arrived on Thursday night, parked our car, and NEVER had to use it again until we left for the airport Monday morning. We rented our skis at the shop just a 2 min walk up the hill at the snowflake lift, then hopped on the lift, just that easy! At the end of the day, we skied to the lift and the rental shop stored our equipment. We made the 2 min walk back to the condo without having carry our stuff or walking in ski boots. We spent afternoons enjoying both the hot tub in the complex and and community one that they is accessed with their membership (it has multiple larger tubs, a pool, and some social time with other skiers!). In the evenings we walked to dinner, shops, and nightlife. We joked because everywhere we wanted to go, we plugged into GPS was an 8 min walk! You really can't beat the location. We had some wonderful food downtown, steak at Rosebriar Chophouse, pasta at Sauce on the Maggie, and great bar food at Breckenridge Brewery, all within walking distance! I was so impressed by the town of Breckenridge, the condo, and the perfect spring skiing. If we return to Breckenridge, this will be our spot! Thank you for letting us stay!

Viv and Paul.

Easy access for skiing, comfortable, home from home, everything you could need, warm, lovely renovations - what more could anyone want? Back next year - wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Perfect in every way!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely, comfortable condo with everything you need to enjoy meals, sleep, gathering friends, soaking in the hot tub, and a VERY SHORT walk to equipment rentals/storage, Snowflake chair lift and the Shuttle bus system. We were three generations ranging in age from 26 to 87 and we could not have found a more perfect spot than this! Our dad/grandad loved being able to store his ski boots and equipment right beside the chair lift and bus route and the daughter/grandaughter loved access to downtown a 5 minute walk away for apres ski!

In all our travels we've never been in a condo so perfectly outfitted! None of the usual: "stocked to get you started..." but lots of soap, hair and paper products, piles of fluffy towels, dish soap and the list goes on. The owners are tremendous! We mentioned a desire for brighter lamps in the bedrooms and their response was an immediate 'thank you so much for letting us know - we are on it!' We will be looking soon at 2018 calendars for a return!

Great renovations. Easy ski in access with short walk to lift.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great trip with 4 adults and 2 kids. In the kids room there were 2 sets of bunk beds so we could have easily fit in 2 more kids no problem. The owners were great and helpful and easy to work with. This condo has recently been renovated and had a great fire place, TV, internet, even an outdoor grill on the patio (which I used). The kitchen was great a FULLY functional with many "extras". It's easy to ski in from the 4 O'clock run and it's a short walk to the snowflake chairlift (about 100 yards). We rented our equipment from Charter Sports (directly at the base of the snowflake chair) and they will keep your equipment at their shop making it easy to put on your skis right at the chairlift. We had a great stay.

Perfect location and renovations all top-notch!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this wonderful condo! We were in town for Oktoberfest weekend and it was awesome to be able to walk to/from downtown and not have to battle for parking. We also took a drive up to Boreas Pass, which was great for some early Aspen yellow -- but the drive around Breck also highlighted to us what an amazing location this place is in! Being so close to downtown and the mountain is awesome! And while the other side of downtown is nice, it just doesn't compare to all that this location has to offer.

The place also had more than enough space and beds for us. And the pack-n-play worked great for our 8-month-old.

As a bonus, the renovations are all top notch. We stayed here pre-renovation and now post-renovation and the upgrades are pretty great!

We will definitely be staying again!!

Breckenridge Resort - Out your front door

With five huge peaks spanning 2,908 acres, Breckenridge skiing has something for all abilities and interests. Every beginner and intermediate trail is groomed nightly so you can enjoy endless turns throughout your day. Or, ride North America’s highest chairlift, the Imperial Express, up to the high alpine bowls for unforgettable views and steeps. If you’re looking for terrain parks, Breckenridge has four—one for every skill level.

Breckenridge is a charming, friendly, historical small-town with activities that would appeal to all

family members, both in the summer and in the winter. Even if you are not a skier, you have free

access to an in-town gondola to venture to the top of the mountain to watch the skiers and

snowboarders. If you prefer cross country skiing or snowshoeing, we have 3 Nordic centers less

than 10 miles apart. The same gondola takes you to the 'fun park' in the summer for miniature golf,

alpine slides, a roller coaster ride, bungy jumping, mountain bike rides, segway tours and hiking.

Most of the ski shops become bike shops in the summer and there is a dedicated recreation path all

the way to Vail and beyond for the serious biker. Breckenridge is very biker friendly!! Lake Dillon is

also about 15 miles away for sailing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and more! There are

multiple outfitters in town if your interest is flyfishing. And for the shopper, there are many

charming boutique shops in Breckenridge plus an extensive selection of outlet stores in

Silverthorne. The tourist center on Main Street at the Riverwalk is invaluable for letting you know of

the weekly activities. There is also an in-town Arts District showcasing up and coming artists. And

did you know that Breckenridge is home to 2 classical orchestras in the summer? They also use the

Riverwalk for other musical venues with appeal for everyone. For a real workout, visit the

Breckenridge Rec Center and check out all their activities. And the list just goes on and on---
