When I viewed the apartment for the first time, I walked from the flower market, passing the Palais de Justice on the way where the square was filled with atmosphere. After a short walk from the old town, I was shown into the apartment (the builders were renovating and at work). I walked into the sejour which was filled with light from four big windows. I looked out one of the front windows and saw the view - Tour St Francis and the hills behind. I then walked through the rest of the apartment and it was equally bright, yet totally private. I loved the fact that there were two double sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. The beautiful old building and the big double doors at the entrance to the apartment were all original. The lift was modern and the building felt good. I went outside and walked around the area and I saw there were gardens at the back at Place Wilson and Gardens to the front one street away. A patisserie with delicious breads and cakes was a few buildings up so I pictured fresh croissants each morning. There were lovely local cafes, a small supermarket, and a general village atmosphere. I felt the area was peaceful as it was slightly away from the tourist trail, yet within a few minutes walk from it. The agent had many apartments lined up for me to see in my three day visit to Nice. I decided on Rue Gioffredo almost immediately, even though I went along to see all the others. I reserved the apartment at the end of that day's viewing as I found it to be so special I was afraid the next person who viewed would take it! I have been so happy with my decision. This apartment is all that I was looking for!
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment is completely private from neighbouring ones. It is so bright and the area is all that I would wish for - a village like atmosphere in a city, near all the main attractions and restaurants, so convenient to public transport that I only rented a car once - on my first trip after purchase. The cafes nearby are friendly and I always receive a welcome any time I visit. It is so peaceful in the area that I find, even on a short trip my batteries are instantly recharged. The gardens and squares in the area have a neighbourly atmosphere and are lovely to sit in, perhaps reading a book if one does not wish to go to the beach or the Old Town.

This was exactly as advertised. A perfect location to explore NICE. Easy to walk to wherever you want to go. Katherine met us when we arrived and was extremely helpful.

Fabulous place to stay in Nice
We stayed in this property for nine nights and could have happily stayed another nine. The apartment was clean and in a great area, an easy walk to the Old Town and convenient to trams, cafes, restaurants and The Promenade. The two bedrooms have both got ensuite facilities, great when you holiday with two teenage daughters. A wonderful time in Nice.

This was our second visit to the apartment and yet again we had an amazing time. Walking back into the apartment was like home from home-the apartment is so comfortable and spacious. The apartment is a great size to accommodate four guests comfortably and it’s lovely and bright. We do something to improve and maintain it each year and have it equipped with everything we can think of that we would need for ourselves.
For holidays it is in one of the best locations in Nice. It is near to everything but far enough away from the noise of The Old Town at night. The restaurants and cafes in the area are among the best in Nice and provisions can be purchased about a three minute walk away. The transport links are excellent so it is a great base to explore Provence and Italy..

This is definitely a lovely apartment in a very convenient location.
Thank you for taking the time to review our apartment. The location is getting better and better each year. It is in sight of the Old Town but away from the noise that the Old Town brings. Excellent restaurants, cafes, shops and transport links are within a five minute walk. The beach is nearby also. Regarding the apartment, we work hard at maintaining and improving it. We listen to what guests want and try to facilitate where possible.
Bright corner apartment in fabulous location.
Great location - you can walk just about anywhere, with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, art supply stores, grocery stores etc within 5-10 minutes away. The apartment has high ceilings and lots of windows so it feels spacious with an abundance of natural light. Well equipped. Katherine was an excellent host, responding quickly to any questions we had. Highly recommended.

The apartment is very well located for holidays in Nice as it is near to just about everything. It is in view of the Promenade de Paillon and the location can be seen in the photo gallery.
The kitchen well equipped with fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave. There is plenty of china and cutlery to ensure that while the dishwasher is in use, there is a reserve supply.
The area around the apartment has a wonderful selection of cafes, shops, restaurants and parks, making the apartment suitable for families and couples.

Had a great stay at the apartment. Really easy to get to and from the airport without a car and location to the old town and promenade was perfect. Everything you need is at the apartment which has a nice corner aspect letting in light and feels airy.

Yes, the location is very good for a holiday as it is near so many places one would wish to visit. In addition, the transfer from the airport is actually going to get even better from 2019 with the arrival of the tram to two blocks away (about a three minute walk).
We also agree about light in the apartment! It is actually the area that Renoir and Matisse chose for their ateliers during parts of their career because of this special light.

Right beside the Old Town of Nice with it's lively cafes and restaurants and only a few minutes from the sea and the Promenade des Anglais. The Promenade de Paillon can be seen from the apartment windows and Place Garibaldi is a short walk. Bus stops for The Matisse Museum, St Jean Cap Ferrat and the airport are nearby. It is a ten minute walk to the train station but the nearby tram will also take you there. Avenue Jean Medecin and the main shopping district is also nearby. For lovers of art, the famous MAMAC (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) is on the doorstep. This area is surrounded by relaxing and beautiful gardens, cafes and renowned restaurants. For lovers of french chic and design, Galerie Lafayette, the well know department store is but a short stroll. The location of this apartment could not be better for holiday rental.
