Great lake week
This house is very spacious and well maintained, and the back deck and new dock are awesome. We had 5 adults staying for most of the week, with plenty of room for all and lots of opportunity for lake fun. Close enough to Canandaigua that we were able to attend a concert at CMAC one night. The only challenge is the access road that is a bit difficult to navigate if you don't have an SUV or 4-wheel drive vehicle.

The property was very peaceful. The owner provided kayaks, a canoe and a rowboat which was very nice to have. The cottage was well stocked with kitchen items and games. We had a great week.

Beautiful quiet spot
We loved our week here. The cottage suited our group perfectly. We loved the outside space for hanging out and having meals. The upstairs big bedroom was perfect for various family members and guests who were in and out during the week and we loved the bedroom facing the lake to wake up in! Overall it was a perfect spot.

Wonderful Stay
Loved the location of this property - right on the water and quite secluded. An extremely peaceful and relaxing location. Plenty of space to spread out, nice beds, well decorated and cared for both in and out. The Dunn's have beautiful flowers everywhere and a great and well equipped deck for eating or just sitting and enjoying the scenery. Also Joyce and her husband were great to work with. The road to get there needs to be traveled slowly but it's well worth the time.

Secluded getaway for our family and dogs
We stayed during the peak season for fall color, and it was amazing. We chose this place because our geriatric dogs cannot be left alone and we needed to bring them with us, and they were welcome by the owners. Our Lab swam and swam while our Shepherd waded and snoozed. Lots of fish to be had, and so much to see and do in the area! The home was perfect for our needs - quiet, comfortable, clean, and within easy driving distance to the Women's Rights National Historical Park, the Corning Glass Museum, and the Rockwell Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we would have booked it for a longer retreat. We hope to be back!

About the host

Host profile image
This is a long time family cottage. Joyce's father purchased the empty lot in 1965 and started building in 1966. Joyce grew up spending her summers here. Chip met Joyce in high school and began coming to the cottage in 1981. Soon our children began enjoyed summers here. It's been a great place to build memories with family and friends. We have made numerous upgrades over the years and take good care of it. We love this quiet out of the way location and know that you will too!

Why they chose this property

Our cottage is unique. While inside the front area, it has 180 degrees of the lake. Everywhere you turn you can see beautiful Canandaigua Lake and it's surrounding hillside.

What makes this property unique

You will love sitting on the expansive deck during the day and on the lawn in front of a campfire at night.
