- Arriving in the dark, nothing can prepare you for the stunning view that
greets you when you wake up in the morning. It is literally breathtaking. I
have never been in a holiday house so immaculately furnished and equipped.
And the pool was even more stunning than it looks in the photographs. Dinah Hall (UK)
-When we walked into the villa for the first time, all 10 of us were
overwhelmed with the beauty of the location. We were so content with
the villa and the view that we didn't want to leave. We had to force
ourselves to leave for excursions to the surrounding islands and were
very anxious to get back every day and sit by the pool. From the refrigerator stocked with food, a
delicious dinner the first night, toiletries in the bathrooms, beach
towels, and a sparkling clean villa and pool. We could not have asked
for better accommodations.Jo Ann Elliott(KANSAS- USA)
-We had an exceptionally wonderful stay in a perfect villa which was like
paradise (Micheal Cooper-UK)
Our family of 8 was lucky enough to stay in this beautiful villa in September 2016. Having been here in 2006, I knew what to expect and bragged about how wonderful it was. The rest of the family was not disappointed!
As in 2006, the villa is fully equipped, beautiful, clean and the views are amazing. Vicky has put so much thought into how to make this villa comfortable and enjoyable. Every detail is perfect. She also helped us find a sailboat rental. I would highly recommend you do this because it was well worth the money and Akis the captain was a delight.
Port Heli is a great place to stay and it is easy to get to Hydra, Spetses, Epidavros and Napflio. You should visit these towns. Also, there is a great restaurant in Porto Heli called Paradise that is near the center of town. The food is amazing. It was one of our best meals.
Thank you Vicky for an amazing week at your villa. My 90 year old father now has memories that he will never forget as well as the rest of the family.
We have spent a fantastic week in Villa Thalia! From the moment we arrived, we were convinced this was a great choice. Our host Vicky gave us a charming welcome and had prepared some delicious food which was just what we needed as the kids were hungry from the drive. The house is everything the pictures promise, and more! Beautiful, great taste, very well maintained, cosy and the pool and view are just fantastic. Vicky helped us with all our small requests during the stay, gave us recommendations and generally just made us feel welcome and at ease. The spices in the garden, the outdoor kitchen, the air conditioning, all the equipment in the house contributed to make this a fabulous stay. We will be sure to come back!
It was like we were welcomed to paradise.
The location of the house is astonishing. It lies on the ridge line of the last hill facing Spetses and beside is Hydra island.
The interior design is unique (minimal style), it has great view from all the rooms/windows of the house. ( even from the bathroom)
Villa is fully equipped so we were able to cook for our family ( it has a stone build barbecue)
The most romantic time of the day was during the sunset that we relaxed next to the pool, watching this breathtaking, colorful, panoramic view.
Remark: Vicky is a very warm hostess she welcomed us with cake, fruits and wine and she gave us all the information that we needed about the place.
P.s:Porto heli has fantastic beaches like Kounoupi, Kostoula, Xinitsa ect.
You must visit Spetses island ( it is 10' from Costa by the boat )
Vicky has a written guide of the place that is very helpful.
Vicky's welcoming pastries and food for our first breakfast was the perfect beginning of our great stay at Erato this august 08. The rooms are spacious, bright and spotless, the bathrooms are very confortable and convenient, the open kitchen is perfectly equipped, and the views, oh, the views! Day and night, together with the infinity pool, make it difficult to go elsewhere for sightseeing (beware if you travel with teenagers...) Porto Heli and Kostas are a few minutes ride away and have all the shops and restaurants you might need. Papadias restaurant in Porto Heli (and Papadias fish market too) are highly reccomendable.
While this place is a little farther away from the sea than a few of the other properties in the same location, a little drive (under 5 minutes, the villa is sitting almost on the top of the hill) is certainly worth the views that you get from the patio—into the bay, at SPETSES and SPETSOPOULA islands, at the ships, speedboat and yachts that are passing by.
If you are lucky and the full moon will be rising while you are visiting, then you are likely to get a super "dual star" view with the Sun setting down on the west and the Moon rising up on the east. Then if the sea is quiet and the sky is clear the "moon road" would stretch out into the bay and farther out into the sea.
Porto Heli is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Surrounded by rolling pine clad hills, the village is situated on a vast bay, providing one of the safest natural harbours in Greece, which today has been transformed into a miniature cosmopolitan port without having lost its traditional charm. It is also a paradise for water sport enthusiasts. With 18 miles of beaches & coves, there is always somewhere new to go for a swim or explore by boat. The mild climate, because of its 350 days of sunshine, the unforgettable sunsets, and the
innumerable cultural activities, ensure that Porto Heli is a popular holiday resort throughout the year. The lovely village centre offers a wide variety of shops, tavernas, restaurants, banks, cinema & newspaper kiosks. Information on car, boat & motorbike rentals, excursions by boat to Hydra, Spetses, Poros or Monemvassia or by bus to Epidavros, Nafplion & Mycenae is available at the Tourist Offices.
Ski: Water-skiing and other water sports are available at most of the coastal resorts.
