Boutique Studio 6 Blocks From Downtown
About Stephanie Witt
As a 4th Generation Mill Valleyan, I have a unique insight into what makes this home! My great-grandparents moved to Mill Valley in 1911 and built their home. I grew up here and went through all the public schools. I currently live here after having lived in Texas for a few years and 13 years in Hawaii. I have been in real estate for 25 years and am active community participant. One of my brothers lives here as well as nieces and nephews. My son, who was born in Hawaii and lived here, too, now lives in the East Bay.
Stephanie Witt purchased this Studio in 1993
Why Stephanie Witt chose Mill Valley
This is my home town and I grew up about 4 blocks from here. I bought this home when I was first beginning real estate. I felt it had 'potential' and I developed it. Love being so close to town, parks, tennis and hiking.
What makes this Studio unique
I actually renovated it recently for myself to live in someday! It is a studio, but it is top notch, high quality and everyone who has stayed in it, loves the coziness of it. No views, but great light. It's an easy, flat, level jaunt to town, about 10-12 minutes. On the bus line to SF or anywhere in the area. Near parks, tennis. Has off street parking. Walk in closet.

Super clean & walkable to town. Located on a busy main road with loud traffic noise; bring earplugs if you want to sleep! Nice private garden spot. Did not enjoy finding giant spiders in the bed area on a daily basis. Window screens need some attention. Host was welcoming & friendly but not great with communication. I wasn’t warned that there would be a landscape crew in my garden area early one morning, for example.
Kathy, I am so sorry about your experience! Never seen or has anyone else mentioned spiders, so will check that out carefully. I know one screen needs repair. Road noise, well, guess no one in your family mentioned that E. Blithedale is and can be noisy.. it is a busy street. I know it quiets down after 9:00 PM. I have lived in the unit before and have tried to make it as good as possible. The gardeners HAD to come unfortunately, because I had a a bad water leak during your stay - not just behind the carport, but also alongside the unit where water enters the house. Bad timing, I know. Sorry, if I didn't let you know.
Great Place, Great Location with Everything You Need
Stephanie was great to work with and communicated every detail accurately and in a very timely manner. The private one room first floor of her home looked just like the pictures. It was very welcoming and clean and there were bananas and granola bars waiting for us when we checked in. Stephanie made a great use of the space she had and she seemed to have everything we needed. From night lights to plug in if and where we wanted to a flat screen TV, ironing board, hair dryer, fridge and ice machine, there was nothing that we lacked. Although the place is not huge, there was plenty of room to put our clothes and empty suitcases including a spare storage room off of the bathroom (which also had plenty of counter and storage space). The large bed was as comfortable as anything that we have ever encountered. There was plenty of parking on the street. The location was just what we were looking for as it was less than 10 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge and minutes from Sausalito and great hiking. We highly recommend this property.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and had everything you needed. Look forward to seeing you again! It makes it all worthwhile when I know my guests are/were happy!
Exactly as listed & sparkling clean. Stephanie is so easy to communicate with and the location cannot be beat. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Mill Valley, Stephanie! I hope to return again soon.
Thank You, Jona!
Look forward to seeing you again.
Home Sweet Home.
My husband and I have stayed at Stephanie’s home several times and it’s always spotlessly clean, pretty and comfortable. Everything you need to make a meal is readily available and easy to find. It’s bright and pretty.
Thanks, Jackie! Look forward to seeing you again.
Lovely property, full kitchen, wine fridge, gas range, private patio, off street parking, king bed, soft linens, relaxing shower, clean, charming all around!
Thanks, see you again!
Best location. Beautiful apartment.
We live staying at Stephanie’s place. It’s very private, quiet and yet close to everything. Mill Valley has great restaurants and great walking or hiking trails nearby.
No long term rentals available. One month maximum depending on timing. If you crave being outdoors and close to a small town center, then this is it! Weather here is an average of 70 degrees year round. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Tam, there are redwood trees, steps, lanes and paths to take you even to the Beach at Stinson via the world famous DIPSEA TRAIL. The Dipsea foot race happens each year with over a 1,000 runners. Home to the world famous Mill Valley Film Festival. The miles of hiking and mountain biking trails are endless and you don't have to get into a car to begin your trek. With an excellent theater company, and comedy venue, 142 Throckmorton Theater and now The Sweetwater venue for music, there is plenty of entertainment. You can ride a bike across the Golden Gate bridge, or just hike it. The Bridge is only 7 minutes from downtown Mill Valley. The seafront towns of Sausalito and Tiburon are spectacular and you can drive or bike to both areas on bike paths.
