Wonderful lakefront home....Spectacular views all year round.
Relax and enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Washington and Mt. Rainier as you enjoy a drink or for that matter dinner on the deck. This house can sleep up to 12 people with 5 bedrooms and a queen sized sleeper sofa on the lower level.
You are minutes from downtown Seattle yet can walk down to the lake and take a dip from the dock if you like (please be advised the path down to the lake is steep nor is there a life guard so it is not suitable for un-escorted young children).
Partial list of amenities include:
- 4 of the 5 bedrooms have lake view
- Large view deck with sitting area and dining area
- 2 indoor living rooms, both with lake views
- Gourmet kitchen with Wolf Range and Sub Zero Fridge
- Wide open floor plan
- 2 car garage plus 2 parking spots in driveway
- 3 king sized beds
This is a very special and serene home.
I own and manage 10 different Seattle vacation rental homes. I throughly enjoy hosting people as they visit Seattle. It is a wonderful city.
Wonderful views, clean modern home with all sorts of upgrades, quiet family neighborhood, close to downtown Seattle yet feels like a world world away.
Swim in the lake from the dock (please be advised it is quite a steep walk down to the lake). Proximity to University Village Shopping Center, the University of Washington and Childrens Hospital.
We rented this property for an office retreat for 11 people. The floor plan is great and there was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essential equipment and utensils, plates and glasses for a large gathering. Very nicely furnished and comfortable home. Check in and check out was easy and well stated in the correspondence prior to our arrival. The property is in a great location, easy to get to I-5, U of W and across the bridge to Bellevue and Kirkland. The only negative aspect of the home is the cleanliness in a few of the bathrooms. There is quite a bit of mold in two of the bathroom showers (seems to be a leak on the ceiling in one that is the worst with black mold) and water damage that is not very appealing around the base boards/tile under shower in another with mold on the shower tiled walls. The mold issue has been referenced in a few other reviews I believe so I am surprised it has not been addressed. It also would be nice to have lawn furniture to be able to use down on the lovely lawn by the water. All in all it is a lovely property with a great view of Lake Washington.
We stayed here as a large family group for a wedding weekend and it was great. The views from the house and decks are wonderful. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked and it was easy to prepare meals for a large group. I would highly recommend this property to others, especially those with large groups.
We spent a week here in August and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is in a quiet neighborhood near UW and is lake front, although it's a steep walk down to the water. My parents are in their 70's and didn't feel comfortable walking down by themselves. For the younger set, it was fine. Some furniture on the lawn by the lake would be a nice addition, as there was nothing comfortable to sit on down there.
The home was clean when we arrived, the kitchen was well-equipped, and we had everything we needed. It is close enough to the city that getting downtown by car or light rail was easy. Yet the view from the home is serene, and it's a relaxing place to spend the day. The deck overlooks Lake Washington and has a great view of Mt. Rainer, and there is plenty of furniture for lounging up there. We spent most of our time on the deck. We definitely would stay here again.
We could not get the air conditioning to work. Upstairs was boiling and downstairs was freezing. We called and left a message with the representative but he never came to check it. Everything else worked well and we enjoyed our stay.
Laurelhurst is a wonderful neighborhood in Seattle with close proximity to downtown, the U District, and many attractions. The house is situated on Lake Washington with a wonderful view, though lake access can be challenging. If you safely traverse the pathway to the lake you are greeted with a beautiful lakefront, but unfortunately no chairs to be able to sit and enjoy it with.
The house itself is as depicted, but when you see it in person, it is worn and a bit tired. There was mold in one of the showers and no towel bars in any of the bathrooms. As noted by a previous reviewer, there are speakers throughout the house, but they have been disabled out of respect for the neighbors. This is understandable, but you'll need to make other arrangements if you would like to enjoy some music.
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect. The furnishings are all very high end and the views are awesome. The house was outfitted with everything we needed. Definitely will stay here again!
