Rieger Hotel Apartment

  • 5 of 5

We had a family vacation here over the Christmas holidays. My family and all of our visitors (of which there were a lot) rated this as a "home run". Wonderful kitchen, living room with fireplace and the roof-top enclosed room is fantastic. We enjoyed the outside room, and it would probably be the main activity place in the summer. This section of KC is really hopping- lots of interesting restaurants, bars, breweries, galleries small shops and the usual franchise places are not far. Lots to do and everything is very close for walking or a short drive. Elevator and garage works great for our family shopping and for those who can't handle stairs. Bedrooms are large and fantastic showers. Second floor apartment has a full kitchen, laundry room -which was great for overflow cooking and refrigerator . The photos don't do the place justice. We want to come back - but the word may be out about it and it will be hard to book. The place is a gem with a lot of history.

City Living at a Great Price

  • 5 of 5

Our business group rented this place for our managers meeting and a national convention in town. This was perfect for everyone. Location was great, rooftop on beautiful nights are amazing. Close to Power and Light, street car is just outside the condo as well.

Wonderful Weekend Stay

  • 5 of 5

We rented out the condo for our wedding weekend and couldn't be happier. The space was beautiful and well kept. Brent the property manager was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. He made sure we had everything we needed to help make our weekend there as stress free as possible. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay when visiting KC.

Big group? Then this is the place for you!

  • 5 of 5

We have a large group of H.S. friends that select a new destination to meet for our yearly get together. It is always challenging to find somewhere to stay where we can all be together that can also accommodate everyone comfortably. This location worked out wonderfully well! We enjoyed the view of the sunset and Kansas City in the evening from the rooftop patio, huge living room for watching movies, enormous kitchen with long vintage table where we could all sit together, comfortable beds (important!) and easy access to places of interest (such as the speakeasy located downstairs!). Some outstanding restaurants are within walking distance (Lidia's, Jack Stack's, Manny's). You can catch the free (yes, FREE) trolley that picks up on very same street and check out places like the Farmer's Market. There is a double decker on/off bus tour that was well worth doing to get a sense of the history of K.C., and other points of interest such as their World War I Museum and free (yes, FREE) art museum. We did take advantage of doing the on/off, so can recommend McCoy's for your best Rueben sandwich ever, shopping at stores on Broadway, and a brief (1-1/2 hour) visit to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Also on the not-to-be-missed list would be Succotash for breakfast, The Brick on McGee St. for lunch, The Green Lady Lounge for jazz and every single opportunity to enjoy K.C.'s amazing BBQ. Sounding like we enjoyed all the delicious food?? Yes! We sure did, and the warm friendliness of all the K.C. residents we met up with. Just a really, really great town. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer as there was still so much exploring to do.
