Overview

About the property

Cozy 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Cabin In a Peaceful, Wooded Area. Sleeps 4 To 6.

Nestled on four secluded wooded acres in the middle of Tennessee's rolling hills, this two bedroom cabin will afford you a relaxing and peaceful retreat. It is located nine miles from Waynesboro and just around the corner from the beautiful property of the Tennessee Fitness Spa at the Natural Bridge. This historic site is the only known double span natural bridge formation in the world, formed over millions of years by a fresh water spring. Another popular creation of nature on the grounds is the 'Ice Cave' with a temperature of 58 degrees year-round. These sites are open to the public on Sundays only. Call the Tennessee Fitness Spa at 800-235-8365 for more information.

Whether you would like to participate in the program at the Tennessee Fitness Spa with a reduced, off-campus rate or simply want a vacation with privacy, peace and quiet, this cute and cozy home will meet your lodging needs. It has two bedrooms, the master with a king sized bed and the second with a queen. There is a double sized futon in an additional sleeping area in the spacious great room with vaulted ceilings. There are two baths, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a beautiful claw footed tub. The cabin is completely furnished with everything you need from modern appliances and kitchen needs to linens and towels, along with a washer and dryer in the basement. Wifi and a phone for local calls is available. Even though this is a remote area, you may possibly be able to get cell phone coverage. Just bring your food and personal items and lock yourself away for a truly peaceful experience!

Canoeing, fishing, scenic drives, horseback riding, golfing...are all just a few minutes away. Enjoy walking and hiking, browsing the shops and antique stores in the quaint city of Waynesboro which is only a 15 minute drive. Other attractions between 30 to 60 minutes away are Davy Crockett State Park, the Natchez Trace, Amish Country, antique shopping in historical downtown Lawrenceburg, Helen Keller's childhood plantation home and a Frank Lloyd Wright's house in Florence, AL, Shiloh Battlefield and much more. Nashville is 100 miles away and Lynchburg's Jack Daniel's Distillery is only a 90 minute drive. But what you may enjoy most is to turn off your cell phone and enjoy your stay in private seclusion inside this cozy and comfortable cabin. You only hear birds and crickets and can see no neighbors or hear traffic from your private haven.

Road Conditions: All main roads are paved. The entrance off of Hwy 99 and the remaining roads which lead to my house and the Tennessee Fitness Spa are dirt and gravel but well maintained.

About Cathy Davis

The picture is of me with my two precious granddaughters. I am fortunate to have both of them in Atlanta where we currently live.

Cathy Davis purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Cathy Davis chose Tennessee

I love this serene and natural area and frequent the Tennessee Fitness Spa, one of my most favorite places in the world. I bought this home right around the corner so I can come to the Spa more often and be able to bring my dogs. I hope to share this wonderful experience with other people who will fall in love with this area as I have.

Very clean cabin with great hostess

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was quite nice. It worked well for our family (2 parents + 2 kids) and was nicer than suggested by the pictures. The cabin was impeccably clean and had a good layout. Cathy was fast in responding and very flexible on check-in and check-out. You definitely want to stock up on all supplies before going to the cabin. I was pleased with the knives (which are often blunt at rentals). Note that you can only visit the arch on Sundays.

Perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

It's was such a joy to stay at the cabin. Cathy is a wonderful hostess and made sure everything was just so for our stay. My daughter and I were attending Tennessee Fitness Spa and the cabin is a short drive or a moderate walk to the facility. The cabin is in a tranquil location and has all the comforts of home. Everything is super clean and a washer and dryer made it easy to keep up with all of our workout clothes.

Don't hesitate to book this place!! You won't find a better place to stay in the area!

Great experience!

  • 5 of 5

Cathy, the owner, was great to work with especially with a last minute reservation. The house was just what we were looking for. Not too far away from neighbors and town that you feel isolated from things, but tucked away enough that you cannot hear anyone else. The backyard was great for my dog to run around in while we stayed inside to cook or just hang out. I spent every morning on the back porch with my coffee while I read and it was so peaceful. At the bottom of the driveway you can visit the TN Fitness & Spa where we walked through the grounds to go see the Ice Cave and Natural Bridge, quite a sight to see. This was a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend. I will consider staying here again in the future.
