Situated on an exclusive barrier island close to Sarasota, this home is on an official canopy road at Twin Oak Pond just a minutes drive or easy walk to the #1 best beach in the USA, Siesta Key Beach. There is a two car garage with lots of additional parking on the paver driveway... you have arrived at THE TREE HOUSE.

There are full kitchens with stoves and microwaves, and dishwashers on both floors all with under-cabinet lighting. A pool bar with bar fridge assures libation is close at hand. Very updated with hardwood floors and tile, along with high end granite and Silestone. Washer and Dryer on both floors. Three central heating and air conditioning systems. Large flat-screen television the way you like it. High speed internet on WIFI ready to go for you. The house has 4 showers so try a new one each day. Nice bathrooms are a must in my book. There are 8 sinks in the house, 4 with disposals built in. 8 spigots with garden hoses... you can even wash your car inside the garage... the floor is pavered and the hose is right there for you! The Sunbrella canopy on the second floor deck can be opened or closed easily... want more sun? Go for it! Want less? Close the canopy! The pool is a saltwater pool! If you have never used one you are in for a treat and your skin will thank you... no jugs of chlorine sitting around and burning your eyes when you swim in it... now you are in a saltwater pool at 2800 parts per million. PERFECT! There are benches inside the pool all around so you can rest from a hard day of frolicking... but never have to leave the pool! SWEET! The in-ground hot tub is the perfect place for your entire party to sit and realize... you have made it! This place is VERY, VERY private. I love that! No more tromping around the pool with strangers about. It is all you! Quiet and comfy and private. Do you like the soothing sound of waterfalls? Our Third Year at the Treehouse!

We first stayed here three years ago from January 1st until February 15th. We were immediately impressed with not only the property, but the owner as well. The home is not only spacious (it can sleep more guests than we ever care to invite) but is uniquely divided into suites allowing multiple couples their space and privacy. It is located only a few blocks from the beach, and a short bike ride or drive to the village. We have two small dogs, so the quiet, canopy covered street made us very comfortable walking them each day. Last year we stayed from January 1st until March 1st. Upon our arrival , I noticed the gas grill seemed to be on its last leg. I commented to the owner that it seemed as such and Later that afternoon he appeared with a brand new one. Stephen, the owner, has shown to us over the three years that he is wholly committed to the enjoyment of renters during their stay. This year, we arrived December 15th, and are booked through March 1st. Days after our arrival, we noticed one of the older AC units was not working. Stephen had it serviced two days later, which is no minor feat at Christmas. The house and pool area are comfortable and very conducive to not only entertaining, but also just hanging out. We have been able to get to know the permanent residents on the street. All are very nice and very accepting of renters, which is not always the case in many locations. Stephen continues to upgrade the property, which is already suitable and to our liking, but he understands that not all renters treat a rental like it is their own home and sometimes wear and tear can be excessive. He replaced the microwave and dishwasher this year, as well as resurfaced the upper deck, and repainted many areas. We have rented multiple homes over the years on VRBO as well as other sites. This is by far our favorite property, our home away from home if you will, and by great measure, the most responsive and likable owner. We highly recommend it!

Along with the deck resurface, new grill and stainless dishwasher and stainless microwave, we have added a new slide in smooth surface stainless convection oven, new solar pool heating panels, new propane spa heater, new pool pumps, new table and chairs by the pool with seating for 10, new lounge chairs and tables, and a new central air conditioning system. You have been and inspiration for these upgrades and your insight has been very helpful. I am so pleased you have chosen The Tree House for your home away from home!

Great Property

The Tree House was a great place to have our family vacation. With other family in town staying at another place, we had ample room to have them over for dinner and let the kids play in the fantastic pool.

Any issues we had with the property were promptly addressed by Stephen, and he was a pleasure to work with.

The house is large and having access to two washers and dryers allowed us to keep up on swimwear, beach towels, etc.....

A Mixed Bag

This is a beautiful,.roomy and comfortable property that is exceptionally well-equipped, and a great outdoor area to enjoy. Close to the beach (not walking distance, but close), very private as well. We stayed for 2 weeks.

There were major issues with the pool and air-conditioning. From the beginning of our stay, the pool was cloudy. We were told by Stephen's sister-in-law (who was the person who let us into the property) that the biggest complaint they received was that the pool was cloudy and/or green. Turns out that this is because there is no routine pool maintenance. By the beginning of the second week, the pool was VERY cloudy and a few days later turned BRIGHT green. I called Stephen to let him know and he didn't believe me until we sent him a photo of the pool. In his defense, he called a pool company to come out and check it out and they did the next day. Pool filter was filthy, basket on top of filter was broken and filled with hair--the only reason anything was being caught was because of the hair. Owner-rigged system for salt-water/chlorine conversion was encrusted and needed to be acid-washed. A lot of chlorine was added to the pool (we couldn't swim in it for a day) and by the time we were ready to leave, it was cleared up.

Air conditioning went down on the main floor mid second week of our stay. There are 3 AC units in the house and the one that went out controlled the main floor and 2 bedrooms. Temperature on the main floor went up to high 80's and we had to crank up the other AC unit on the other end of the house for any relief and used floor fans for AC. My son-in-law tried to access the electric panel, but was unable to do so, as the door was locked and owner wouldn't allow access. We were told an AC person would be out first thing in the a.m., but didn't arrive until 2 p.m. (not owner's fault!) The compressor was shot, there were issues with the wiring that had to be fixed (electrician had to break the lock on the door to access), so we had no air on half the main floor (primarily 2 bedrooms) until we left on Saturday.

We asked the owner for some compensation due to lack of AC for four nights, but he has not responded back to us. These issues have to and will be addressed and hopefully other tenants will not have the same issues. We did enjoy spending time together there as a family and without the pool/AC issues, we would have had an amazing stay at this property

Owner's Response: This review is unfair. We appreciate the guest's compliments abut our home but there are so many untruths and fabrications it is astonishing. We have to wonder if some of the statements made are out of confusion or from some other property. We have never before had a single complaint about the pool being cloudy. The pool has routine maintenance. When we were contacted by this guest about the pool being cloudy, we immediately called our pool company and a pool technician was at the home within one hour. The water was within specifications but he serviced it anyway. The filter is cleaned when the back pressure goes up by 9 psi and before every guest arrives. Anything on the filter was from their party using the pool for seven days. The saltwater system is a professionally installed Aqua Rite System and is cleaned every time the salt cell is removed according to Aqua Rite’s suggested maintenance schedule. There are three central air systems in this home. Two on the main floor and one on the ground floor. When contacted in the evening on Wednesday that one of the two systems on the main floor was not running we immediately contacted our air conditioning company and they were there the next day. The unit was repaired and the home brought to full capacity of three central air systems. We are aware that equipment can malfunction but it is very rare. When a problem arises we see that it is corrected immediately. We are also aware that some people exaggerate and fabricate but to do so as a review on our web site and to unfairly smear our property and service in not appreciated. We work very hard to make sure everything is as perfect as is possible for our guests.

Perfect Setting for our Family Reunion!

Great layout with plenty of room to spread out AND multiple places to gather as a group. We tried them all -- from the pool deck to the hot tub to the upper deck, sun room and kitchen. Very pretty and private setting but close to many activities. I booked this house on behalf of my family and everyone thought it was a brilliant choice.

A Siesta Key Shangri-La

As the first renter of the renovated Tree House, I feel obliged to share with prospective renters my highly positive assessment of the one-week experience. First, the owner is smart, responsive, honest, and easygoing. Second, in terms of location, the property is tucked away in a small, intimate neighborhood where the houses are surrounded by beautiful tropical trees and dense vegetation. This atmosphere provides a sense of privacy and proximity to nature that enhances your relaxed vacation experience, particularly when enjoying the beautiful backyard pool and hot tub. The incomparable Siesta Key Beach and the laid-back Siesta Key Village are just a few minutes away via car or bike. Finally, the house itself is quick spacious, very clean, and bright, with all the amenities you would expect -- and more. Would definitely come back to this tropical paradise!
