This bright and sunny apartment (but cool in the summer because of its natural ventilation), has two floors and was completely renovated in 2008. It is integrated in a historical building from the 18th century in Pombalino style. In the lower part of the apartment there is the living room with a dining area for 5 persons. From there you have a view to the streets of Lisbon. It has also an equipped kitchen, one suite with a private bathroom with shower and another bathroom/WC. The upper floor has a marvellous view to the Lisbon Castle and offers 2-3 sleeping places (single bed) with air condition (no air condition in the lower part). It can be used as well as reading space. The little romantic terrace with a view over the old city of Lisbon invites you to have a good and romantic breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. From the big roof window you have a direct view to the castle 'São Jorge'.

We had a wonderful stay in Boa Vista. Lisbon is a great city - vibrant, cultured and well geared to tourism while retaining much of its original charm and very well worth a visit.
Our apartment was excellent, centrally located yet still very quiet for a city centre. It was spotlessly clean and well equiped with all the essentials for a short stay. We are grateful to André for the help and assistance he gave us - a great host.
Our family of 4 stayed in BOA VISTA Feb2016. Location, Location, Location! This was a beautiful apartment & close to everything. Everything was laid out very well with high-end products and accessories. I really appreciated all of the design elements. The kitchen was equipped with nice dishes and all the amenities we needed. There is 1 toilet and 2 showers which was fine for 4 of us since it’s the showers that take the time. Our young pre-teens loved the room up on the top level – they had their own little apartments up there. It has a wonderful view of the Castle and a balcony on the other side. I should note that the stairs were beautiful however could be tough for young kids and older adults. Even my 11-year old slipped down once since the treads were narrow. Just go slow and hold on to railing.
We landed at the airport early so we took the metro to Baixa/Chiado. It was a short walk from the metro and since our luggage was on wheels it was no trouble. We got a 1-way ticket but for 6Euros you can get a transportation pass for 24-hours that includes metro, buses and trains… Since this apartment was on the 5th floor we were grateful there was an elevator with the luggage. It was nice that Andre was waiting for us when we arrived. He gave us a thorough walk-through and tips about what to see. We were especially thankful he stressed that we go have their famous pastry in Belem.
This is right in the heart of the city, with just a short walk you can get to the metro, buses, the Elevator to Chiado (do not miss the sightseeing deck on top), restaurants and shops. Also very close is a grocery store. It was nice to stock up on breakfast so we can leave the apartment fed and raring to go. Don’t forget to grab toilet paper for there wasn’t any stocked in the apartment. The only nit-picky thing I’d say was that the beds were firm. I am used to a softer bed with memory foam so it was tough to get used to.
We found the Yellow Sightseeing Bus to be well worth it to get acclimated on our first day – don’t forget the ride up to the Castle of St George. For 2 of our days we took full-day private tours with Premium Tours – exceptional! So reasonable for all you saw in 8-9 hours. Highly recommend the Arrabida Tour and the Sintra Tour.
Dinner near by: El Carpaccio (Italian), the Ghandi Palace (Indian), and Bon Jardim for chicken. In Chiado we enjoyed Cervejaria Trindade. My favorite was Buzio in Colares on the way to Sintra.
Martin, I have to thank you for the great job you have done with the place and for the excellent host you were, the Apt. Diva 1, is in a perfect location, right in the middle of everything in Old Down Town Lisbon, from here you can experience the most lively interaction "The Portugueses", their way of live, how they walk to work, how they have an early bite for breakfast or a glass of wine at 9am.....Lisbon is a great city, big enough to enjoy it all, even a nice beer or wine listening to its beautiful music FADO in Barrio Alto, it was just great, no better way to understand a culture than thru its food and music. Thanks Martin, your place was perfect, we were 6 adults and enjoyed, the cleanness and location of your property....if we can, we will go back. Highly recommended.
may husband and our couple of friends stayed in the Diva3 appartment . it was beautifully appointed, incredibly roomy with two great bedrooms and the top of the line bathrooms. great kitchen, beautiful livingroom/dining room, cute little balcony where we sat at night and had a glass of wine all were just fantastic. the location cant be beat. thank you, Martin , for promptly answering all the question we had , and to Andre for being so flexible when our plane was delayed by 9 hrs. All in all one of the best rentals we have ever had. Thank you, we will be back!
My husband and I visited Lisbon for three days while on holiday. The apartment was such a wonderful location for us to begin our travels through Portugal! It was a very quick cab ride from the airport, and is in the middle of a neighborhood filled with shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Even though there were people checking out of the apartment the same morning, the owner, Martin, was able to work with our arrival time so that we had just enough time to stop at a charming café a block away for an espresso and one of Lisbon's delicious pasteis de nata before checking in. Andre was so helpful and provided us with a map and recommendations for sightseeing - be sure to see the Castel Sao Jorge and get out to Sintra for a day! By 11am, we had unpacked, taken the keys and the map, and were out exploring the city. Not bad for an overnight flight from the USA.
The apartment was beautifully decorated, with art displayed on nearly every wall. The master bedroom was very cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen was just perfect for us (we didn't cook there, but it was nice to make tea and have somewhere to store drinks). One of the bathroom showers was a little confusing to us, so we just used the larger one for the two of us. Everything was clean and worked well. We loved that nearly every room had a balcony and enjoyed wine on most of them. We could easily walk to all of the major sights in Lisbon and felt like we had a very good grasp of the city when we left.
Staying in apartments like this one made our visit to Portugal so easy. We truly felt like we had "unplugged" from work and fell in love with this beautiful country! We are now trying to figure out how and when to come back!
Wonderful views especially from the great top floor. Very comfortable with all the amenities of home plus little balconies everywhere, the biggest and most private on 2nd floor which is also the only one w/ AC, so on hot nights was very comfortable to sleep up there-great breeze up there too, but beware the smaller steps on the staircase. Living room balcony has interesting view of the street and all the other balconies in nearby flats. The flat was just perfect, and Martin, Andre and especially Joel, who drives for them (take the amazing day trip to Sintra and the coast with him), were all great and thanks so much to Martin for figuring out what I'd done to the washing machine so I could do a final wash and dry before leaving.
You are right in the heart of Lisbon, steps from heading up any one of the seven hills and seeing most attractions. Little cafes and a great wine bar are 20' from your front door, but still flat was nice and quiet. Good Italian/Indian restaurant down the street and one of the main squares Figuera? is just 200' away - as you head to it look to your left, at the end of your block, the San Justa Elevator is right there. If you don't continue heading to Figuera, as you approach San Justa Elevator, look left and there's the port and seafront plaza. We had such a great time and Lisbon is an amazing and beautiful city with every sidewalk and street tiled, wonderful viewpoints, most with outdoor cafes, everywhere. Be sure to see San Jorge castle, lots of fun walking the cool walls and fabulous grounds. The view of it will tantalize you from your 2nd floor.
In the old city center of Lisbon, near the castle and the chamber of the city, you can find a magnific place surrounded by the city river 'Tejo' and one of the most beautiful cities that the Atlantic Coast can offer you, Lisbon. A city full of history and epic places to visit, since the time of the Portuguese Discoveries, it is rich in culture and life. Known as the city of the seven hills, you can lost yourself in the typical quarters of Lisbon and eat really good fish in the fantastic Fish-Restaurants in Restauradores square. But, if you want you can also go and take advantage of the good beaches of the Lisbon Coast. Near the building you can find many little cafes and restaurants where you can rest and taste the excellent portuguese food and sweets.Adress: Baixa de Lisboa
