About Debbie Mills

We are originally from the UK & Canada, have traveled extensively in the US and Europe using vacation rentals. We have been coming to Portland for many years and love the city. It is a paradise for walking, cycling, eating and drinking, and you do not need a car! We have 2 places in prime locations, The Perch is one of them.

Why Debbie Mills chose Nob Hill

The architects who converted this 100 year old house into 2 units did a great job of maintaining the old charm while adding modern amenities, we have recently upgraded the property again. It is a home from home in the absolute best area in Portland.

Convenient and Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place! The location was perfect and our down time at the house was so enjoyable. Super comfortable furniture and a fireplace! Scotty’s suggestions were a big help too! Loved it.

Big, clean, cozy and lovely! The owners left us a fresh bag of coffee and a stocked cupboard with honey and teas. We loved it.

Great location for a beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

This home exceeded our expectations. It's been beautifully renovated with great attention to detail right down to complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, cotton balls/swabs. Even umbrellas were available for us to use! The beds were very comfortable with nice linens and fluffy white towels in the bathrooms. Everything was super clean. We were easily able to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, grocery and liquor stores. We were two couples who have been staying in VRBO homes for many years, and this may be the best so far. Probably the only negative was that the bath tub in the main bath on the first level is very deep and at 5 foot 2 inches, I found it a bit challenging to get in and out, but the rest of the house was so fabulous I had no trouble overlooking this. We'll be looking for excuses to return to Portland so we can stay at this home again. Would highly recommend - you won't be disappointed.

Extremely clean and comfortable home in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

I rented the Perch with a few of my teammates while we were in town for the Hood to Coast relay, and couldn't have asked for a better space. The home was clean, spacious, and well stocked, and was located in the perfect area for us to explore the city before and after the race. I would highly recommend this property, and would definitely stay there again!

Very well appointed home in great location

  • 5 of 5

The perch was a great place for my family to stay during our first visit to Portland. It was cute, clean and had a lot of extras like owner provided laundry/ dishwasher soap, paper towels, etc. that I've always had to buy with other vrbo rentals. It also had very nice linens and comfortable beds. The owners did a great job redoing the home but retaining it's charm. They were also very helpful with any questions we had. The location in the alphabet district was great! Nob hill and the pearl were our favorite districts and within walking distance or a short trip on the streetcar, but Mississippi and Williams streets across the bridge were a must see as well. This was a great place to stay in a great city!
