Wonderful Get Away

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 months with the Chalet as our happy get away. Can't say enough good things about the location and the property. The chalet is well equipped and cozy. Everything you need to enjoy a quiet, relaxing vacation. We even enjoyed some great movies in our off time! Tiger Run offers a great location, with nice amenities, including two very welcome hot tubs that make for a relaxing way to end the day.

Anne and Richard were great hosts, and we look forward to our next visit!

Cozy and charming

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed for the week of Christmas and this Chalet was perfect for us. The location was close to main street Breck, which we loved, and the interstate was close for all other travels (which we did a lot of). Everything we could have possibly needed was readily available (pots/pans/utensils/garbage bags/paper towels/toilet paper/sheets/pillows/shovel/grill) and so much more. We were concerned with being so close to our neighbors but this resort was very quite, everyone respected their own space and we barely knew anyone was next to us. The resort itself has a public fire pit, a clubhouse with access to a hot tub, and I believe ping pong tables but we never made it inside because we had so many other things going on. There is supposedly a trail on the resort but it was way too cold for us to venture out (we're Floridians). I did expect to have our own fire pit but the owner suspects this was taken so I had to bake my s'mores, which still tasted great. Also, this is a pet friendly chalet, which we did not mind however there was a lot of dog hair and lint/dander all over the couches and cabin from a previous renter. For those that have allergies this may be a problem but other than needing to lint roll our clothes this was not too bothersome. There is an upstairs loft which has 2 good decent sized beds and a TV, perfect for children. It was just my husband and I so we never went up their but it was surprisingly spacey and we ended up storing our suit cases up their to keep them out of the way. The place is somewhat small but that is the point of a chalet. The bathroom is not meant for 2 people to get ready at the same time and my husband and I bumped into each other often trying to get dressed, but honestly that made it even more perfect. I would rent this place again. The owner was easily accessible however we did not need to bother them for anything. Overall I would rate this a 4.5 and would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in staying. The chalet is so adorable and as said above, cozy and charming. It was our first time to Colorado and it was beautiful, especially in winter. We woke up Christmas Day to snow and the setting from the bedroom window, and from all around the Chalet was breathtaking and magical.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the positive feedback. We have contacted our cleaning service and requested a total vacuum and clean for dog hair. Our fire pit was removed without our permission so, this Spring we will build another one that will be permanent We are delighted that you enjoyed our little chalet.

Week long family getaway

  • 5 of 5

This Chalet was perfect for my wife, two teenage children and dog. The kids really enjoyed sleeping on the loft - with a full queen bed for each. We wanted to be able to cook our meals and have our own space, and we were very happy with our choice. The place is well equipped, clean, and we enjoyed the standing fire pit and barbeque. The shed had enough room for us to store our three bikes. We enjoyed fishing, rafting, biking and some great eating/shopping/tourism. We absolutely recommend the Blizzard Chalet!

Breckenridge and the surrounding area has a ton to offer, by the way. We've been to Breckenridge several times over the years, and it just keeps getting better. We like to set up house, stock up on groceries and be independent when we travel, so this was perfect for us. Frisco or Breckenridge are only 5 minutes away, one in each direction. The RV park that contains these units is very beautiful and nicely laid out. I can't imagine anyone having a bad time here!
