These little neglected cottages needed TLC. The buildings are very authentic but needed updating and major renovation to preserve. The compound was big enough to put a 5000 sq foot back yard with pool, etc.
These little cottages are so charming and quaint. The cottages were in very poor condition when i purchased this property. I worked with the City of Madeira Beach to make this compound a much better place in this little neighborhood. The cozy screened porches are a favorite. The compound has plenty of room for everyone and ample parking. Guests love being able to walk to John's Pass Village.
We recently went with family (7 adults and 3 children); we rented out all 4 cottages for the week. No one was disappointed, everyone was genuinely surprised at how nice they were! You feel secluded, because the drive in is landscaped and you can't see the road, except where you pull out. So nice not to have to buy toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, pots, pans, utensils, plates, coffee cups, etc...We brought our clothes and some food, shopped for the rest of the food. BBQ pits for every cottage and nice ones too! outdoor fridges, bikes, patio furniture... Walked to the beach everyday, shopped at John's Pass, swam in the pool every day, no one wanted to leave! Judy checked in frequently asking if there was anything we needed. We will be back, we come to Florida every few years, and we know where we will stay every time we are in Madeira beach! You will not be disappointed! Wish I could give it 10 stars!
This is an AWESOME PLACE. It is a little piece of PARADISE!
These cottages are better looking in person than the pictures online which was a nice surprise. Everything has been updated and is kept in immaculate condition. Judy was on the site almost every day and is always checking to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Everything is included for a vacation PARADISE. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood, beautifully landscaped and very close to John's Pass "walking distance" for food and entertainment and the beach. Nothing was needed to have a very nice relaxing vacation. We will be back next year and many more after that!

My husband and I found the cottages when we searched for small dog friendly accommodations in Mad Beach. We've been coming there for 28 years, but never have we had such an idyllic experience. The cottages are small gems, fully equipped and beautifully decorated. The salt water pool and spa area is a spoiler, with elegant
barbecue and seating areas. We booked one week, but couldn't leave, so we were lucky to be able to stay a second. Judy and Drake are great!
We stayed at Judy's Cottages in August (hot, hot, hot!) and had the most wonderful time. Judy was more than accommodating, and made up feel like family. The cottages are lovely and appointed beautifully - everything we needed was there. We called ahead to ask about pseudo handicap accommodations because my sister is a cancer survivor and has problems getting around. The cottages, pool and grounds were perfect for her. The layout of the compound allowed her to get around on her own with her walker, get in and out of the pool on her own, and take a shower with the security of safety bars. We will return every year!!
Unlike prior visits in beachfront condos or apartments, the cottage let us feel like we were living there. Our parking spot was steps away from the front door. The screened porch and covered dining area provided great locations to relax outdoors in the shade. Inside, the cottage was meticulously clean and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed, but couldn't bring, was there. Local neighborhoods were fun to explore on the provided bicycles and it was a pleasure to unwind in the jacuzzi. Judy is a most considerate host and made us feel right at home. We can't wait to go back. Thanks again Judy. :)
We stayed in the Mermaid Cottage early September. The owner Judy was a great host and easy to contact if needed. She has the cottages nicely theme decorated and equipped with everything needed. The bed was very comfortable. The salt water pool and hot tub were perfect when we were not at the beach with the great beach chairs and umbrella that are included with the cottage. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly with Gulf Boulevard close by with plenty to do and see. Highly recommend, except for when we want to return. We will be back.
