Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Marco Island

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6-8

Welcome to our "Island Escape." This home offers a breathless view of the long waterway from the dock and lanai. Perfect for fishing or just relaxing. You also have the option of bringing your own boat or renting one and mooring it at your own personal dock. Comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated with many amenities, this home is sure to please every guest. The screened in lanai is ideally suited to sunny breakfasts by the pool, comfortable shade for dining, or just relaxing in the afternoon and evening. Grill dinner on the lanai or dine out at Marco Islands' many fabulous restaurants.

The southern exposure heated pool ensures all day fun in the sun. A solar pool cover keeps the heated pool toasty warm during the cooler months. The living room, master bedroom and 2 guest bed rooms all have new LCD/LED flat screen TVs and DVD players. The separate dining room has seating for 6 and the kitchen table seats 4. The family room can be enjoyed by the kids while the adults enjoy private time in the separate living room. Plenty of board games are provided as well as 3 bicycles for your use and enjoyment.

Almost every room has direct water views and the whole rear of the home can be opened to the pool deck with sliding pocket doors. The master bedroom is located on the other side of the house and overlooks the pool and canal. It has a luxurious queen bed, a full bath with a separate shower and bathtub, walk in closet and a private entrance to the pool via sliding glass doors. The two guest bedrooms and a guest full bath are located on the other side of the house. The one guest bedroom also has a luxurious queen bed and view of the canal via sliding glass doors. The other guest bedroom has 2 twin beds.

All of the essentials are included: beach chairs, floats, umbrella, beach towels, coolers, 3 bikes and fishing rods. White sandy Marco beaches are only minutes away by car.

The spacious lanai includes 2 tables with seating for 8, plus 4 lounge chairs and 2 Adirondack chairs. Plenty of seating with many choices for relaxing by the pool while watching the boats go by and the manatee and dolphin swim in the canal. Also, enjoy floating in the pool and sunning yourself on the 4 pool mats provided for your enjoyment.

Dolphin and Manatee frequent the canal and many species of fish can be caught off the new dock. Snook lights and cleaning station are a highlight. You also have the option of bringing your own boat or renting one and mooring it at your own personal dock. A full laundry room and two plus car garage complete the experience. Wireless Internet included.

With its easy access to the Gulf of Mexico, you can be enjoying the clear beautiful waters of the Gulf in minutes or boat on over to one of the great restaurants and have dinner. All this can be done right from your own back yard!

Marco Island is six miles long and four miles wide, with over 50 locally owned and operated restaurants. There is a movie theater, miniature golfing, shopping and beautiful white sand beaches only minutes away. Day trips to the everglades are really fun as is a boat trip on the Key West Express right from the Marco Marina. Sunset dinner cruises are also enjoyable.

Marco Island is the largest of the 'Ten Thousand Islands.' We have one of 7 true, crescent shaped beaches in the world.

About Terri

We live in the greater Detroit area but our hearts set with the sun each night on Marco Island. We know you will love Marco Island as much as we do.

Terri purchased this house in 2013

Why Terri chose Florida South Gulf Coast

We fell in love with Marco Island when we visited back in 2012. The beaches are gorgeous and we love walking the beach and watching sunsets. We enjoy sitting on the lanai watching the sunrise in the morning while enjoying our coffee. There is plenty of room on the spacious lanai to relax and hang out at the private pool while enjoying the sunshine during the day. Watching the boats go by and seeing dolphin and manatee in the canal are a few of the many reasons we chose this house. The house is spacious and there is plenty of room for us to relax and enjoy when we visit.

What makes this house unique

We are boaters and within 10 minutes we can be on the Marco River and the Gulf of Mexico. We love the fact that finding the house by boat is easy and gulf access is quick. We also enjoy the privacy on the lanai offered by the beautiful palms.

Excellent Home - Excellent Location

  • 5 of 5

We traveled to Marco Island for a family vacation. This home was an excellent choice. From the time we contacted the property owner to the time we returned home, every email/phone call was prompt, professional and personal. Terri & Mark take pride in their home and it shows. As a bit of a clean freak, it was a pleasure to see even the ceiling fan blades were dusted!! That's attention to detail. The house is comfortable and enough space for our family of 6 to spread out. Every switch was labeled so there was no guessing which switch worked what. The beds were very comfortable (not the usual rental beds) and there were plenty of linens/towels. Having the washer and dryer (large capacity) was a huge help too. The pool was perfect - seating in the shade (with morning sun), pool in the sun for the majority of the day. The dock was great for fishing. We only caught cat fish, but it was a lot of fun. Off the dock we saw a dolphin, sea snake and even had a very up close visit from a snowy egret that was nearly 4 foot tall! The location of the house was in a quiet neighborhood close enough for a quick ride to the ocean and Tiger's Tail beach. We all paddle boarded multiple mornings at Tiger's Tail. The house had 4 bikes (with helmets) which we used locally, fishing gear and pool/beach items. With the usual afternoon Florida shower, we had 2 amazing rainbows thanks to the setting sun. All in all - a perfect vacation by the best hosts. Thank you Terri and Mark for a wonderful time.

Thank you for noticing how clean the house is – I too am a “clean freak”. The house is very spacious inside and out for a family of 6 to enjoy the lanai, pool and dock. Glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you and your family back again soon.

My husband and I would definitely rent this property again! Older home in a quiet neighborhood that has been updated and well taken care of. Mark and Terri have thought of EVERYTHING!! Loved the pool and watching the boaters on the canal. Thank you Mark and Terri for making this such an enjoyable experience! We have been coming to Marco for years but wanted to stay another week. This property exceeded our expectations!

Loved It!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay on Marco Island! We've rented homes twice now in FL and multiple times in our home state - by far the best way to tour a new area. I tend to do a lot of research prior to booking and chose this one in particular for a few reasons...the separate bedrooms, a bathroom w/ pool access, the reviews and most importantly the pool/lanai space. As mentioned in other reviews, the master is separate from the other bedrooms which is what we wanted since we were staying w/ the in-laws and our 3 year old. But what I LOVED was that not only was it on the other side of the house, we were separated by the living room and dining room/kitchen and was a long way away from each other. There's even a pocket door that can be closed which was great for when we played games and didn't want to wake the little one. The house was extremely clean and literally had everything you needed in the kitchen and for the beach. I think the only suggestion is a beach cart which you can easily and cheaply rent from Tiny Tikes - I would highly recommend that.

The pool area was great and we enjoyed our afternoons lounging and taking in the sun. It gives great shade which is nice if you're not in the pool. We loved being on the canal and seeing the boats pass by and the view really was beautiful. We saw a pack/school/heard (not sure what it's called) of sting rays on the day we left which was pretty cool. No dolphins or manatees though.

We had some great meals for the week: CJ's on the Bay, Snook Inn, Finn Bistro, Quinns (great for watching the sunset). We ordered pizza from Joeys - which was not good. Not sure if we just had a bad experience or if that was normal but it was not good.

The beaches were beautiful. We didn't like Tigertail since it's not a great fit for a 3yo (to wade across) so we didn't stay there but enjoyed Crescent and South Beach. We also visited Clam Pass in Naples which was beautiful. Parking was fine but suggest getting there by 10 on busy days.

The best part about this house is the responsive and quick communication w/ the owners. Terry was an absolute pleasure to work with and answered every question we had. You can tell they take pride in their home and hope that we enjoy our stay...that's hard to find. I would highly recommend this house and Marco Island - can't wait to go back!

Owner's Response: Tara, Happy to hear you had a wonderful time! Thank you for the review and noticing that we “take pride in our home.” Our home does offer great privacy with the separate master suite being so far away from the rest of the house. We also love to sit on the lanai and watch the boats go by – it is very peaceful relaxing by the pool. Please come back and visit us again soon!

What A Spot!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home, even better than the pictures show! The property is very clean and very well maintained, inside and out. The house has everything you need. It was very well stocked with plenty of towels, sheets & pillows. The kitchen was well stocked with all plates, glasses, silverware & Utensils. We spent our mornings doing activities and spent our afternoons poolside relaxing or on the dock fishing. Highly recommend Jungle Erv's Airboat rides, lots of fun. Also Backwater Adventures 2-person catamarans for 3 hour excursion. You get to drive your own boat!. Also check out

see-manatees.com for a nice manatee tour. We saw plenty of manatees on the day we went. We had dinner at Mango's Dockside, The Snook Inn, The Sunset Grille, and my favorite, Quinn's On The Beach. Loved the sunset fire dancer there! All had great food! Also Doreen's Cup of Joe was excellent for breakfast. We also did a dinner cruise on The Marco Island Princess out of Rose Marina. We had the Admirals Dinner Cruise, the food was wonderful and so was the cruise. A very nice evening. On another day we rented a deck boat from Rose Marina and navigated our way to Keewaydin Island to do some sight seeing and shelling. It was a great day! Nothing but good things to say about the entire trip!

Owner's Response: Rob, Thank you for the wonderful review! And thank you for noticing that the house is” very clean and very well maintained.” We will have to book the Backwater Adventures excursion. We have seen them on the Marco River while boating and have commented that it looks like fun. Glad you were able to get on the water and enjoy the dinner cruise and boating. It is the best way to see the island and take in the beauty of the area. We hope to see you back again soon!

Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

The home was very family friendly with the pool being the special attraction for the children. Fishing off the dock was an unexpected pleasure too. Along with trips to the beaches, other attractions and great sea food options make for hope to return soon.

Beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for allowing us to rent your home for 2 weeks. Communications were very timely. The home was very clean and location was perfect for us. The pool was very nice and we used it daily. I really liked how the master was on one side and the other bedrooms on the other. Everything in the house was labeled, so you knew exactly what the switch was for.

Thanks again!
