Excellent, purposely-furnished value at Snowshoe
My family of four stayed for three nights in #236 to enjoy spring skiing at Snowshoe. While the Mountain Lodge is slightly dated, it’s location is excellent. Unlike the lodge, the unit is updated with a purpose. It is clean and well-outfitted to support four skiers or snowboarders. The entrance hallway has room to hang boards, skiis, and boots, as well as dry out gear. The bedroom is comfortable with a flatscreen, closet storage, with two side tables w/ USB charging. The living area is well-furnished for its size; the bar and four seats allows for room to pull out the coach bed and still move around. The second floor sliding door faces the Ballhooter quad lift at less than 50 meters so you can monitor the conditions and move to the slope quickly. It’s location allows for quick, cost-effective lunches in the unit; the kitchen is well-outfitted to prepare and serve, as well as store leftovers. A Roku connected to the living area flatscreen adds additional entertainment options to the basic cable and assorted DVDs. It’s tight, has eight foot ceilings but it is staged functionally. If you came to ski, this unit is furnished to support that efficiently and cost-effectively. We were happy with our stay.
Couldn’t ask for better conditions in March and right of the slopes place to stay, place is a lil tight but very nice and just a short walk to everything
Great place to stay! Very clean and convenient.
Our family of 4 loved our stay. The condo was immaculate, cozy and perfect for us. The views were beautiful and we had everything that we needed. We definitely recommend the condo for a wonderful ski trip.

A perfect location if you want to get out to the ski trails!
The condo is complete with all the bedding, kitchen utensils and cleaning equipment you need. The rooms are small, but you have such a great view out to the Ballhooter lift and all the skiers, that it expands the feel of the condo. The bed was very comfortable, the heat and hot water worked well, plus 2 tvs and wifi!
The property management is vigilant about quiet hours (10pm - 8am), so any complaints you read in reviews online about noise from Mountain Lodge are taken very seriously. The Lodge itself is dated, but the condo is not and it's well worth the 2 minute walk downstairs to ski out! You are steps from the village with restaurants and Starbucks and the Depot for lift tickets, etc.
We tried the Appalachia Kitchen and Fireside Grille which were both very good. Only Appalachia Kitchen and Supper Club seem to take reservations.
Snowshoe skiing is terrific, even in 5 and zero degree temps!
The condo owners are very nice and easy to work with.
Bring a hairdryer if you need one. I also recommend you bring your food and beverages to unpack right into the condo's kitchen because shopping is expensive and not convenient.
We'll be back! The skiing was perfect for our family with plenty of greens and blues. Also be sure you visit the Silver Creek ski area by shuttle since it has far fewer skiers and great trails!
Thank you for your review.....we will be adding a hairdryer to the unit. Pat Cowham
