This second floor home has porches on three sides, lots of windows and an open floor plan. Look to the east to see Blind Pass, or the west for views of the Gulf. A one minute walk to the fabulous white sands of Sunset Beach and the famous Caddy's Beach Bar and Restaurant. Use our beach chairs and umbrella, or one of Caddy's loungers. Swim in the Gulf of Mexico and watch the amazing sunsets, stroll down the beach or walk around the boardwalk at Blind Pass.
Our house is not 'just a rental,' it is our lovingly restored 1930's home, done in comfortable, charming, and welcoming, modern coastal furnishings. The master bedroom has a luxurious, thick, pillowtop mattress and huge walk- in shower. The second bedroom has two twins and its own bathroom with the original claw-foot tub. The house sleeps six comfortably, with central air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room. The den has a pull out sofa bed with a gel mattress pad.
There is everything you need here, dishwasher, washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, wireless internet, cable tv in the den and both bedrooms, and off-street parking. All bed linens and towels are provided.
We fell in love with this home the minute we saw it and wish that we could use it ourselves year round. We have furnished the house and made renovations to meet our own standards, not just as a rental.
Andrea and Gary purchased this house in 2013
This is the ideal location. You can stay on the island and experience 'island living' or drive a short distance for the city excitement. You don't need to wait for an elevator because this is a freestanding house. The house is comfortable, amazingly roomy, clean, and well maintained.
This is a unique home which combines the old and the new. It has original wooden floor, walls, and ceilings with old Florida charm and lots of character. The neighborhood is an old-fashioned beach colony with friendly residents. A short walk to 2 beach bars so if you have too much to drink, no need to worry.
This was one of the nicest places we have ever rented. Beautifully and lovingly restored with everything you would need in the kitchen and throughout! I hope to stay again💕
We thoroughly enjoyed our week on Treasure Island! Your charming home is everything and MORE than described in the rental listing! It's well equipped, comfortable, spacious, a great location, and ideal for anyone who doesn't want to stay in the typical beach condo. The three porches offer a variety of views and add even more living space to the house. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend spring break with our two boys and look forward to returning!
Our vacation to Treasure Island was absolutely wonderful and it started with this authentic Floridian home. My wife and I have rented several "vacation" homes for the last 30 years, most of them fairly new. We fell in love with this beautifully decorated and very comfortable home. It was enjoyable having our coffee on any of the three second story balconies. We normally spend very little time indoors while in Florida but this home begs you to "tarry". Everything that is needed for a beach vacation was readily accessible and at our fingertips. We were less than a five minute walk to the beach and it was marvelous. We will definitely consider staying here again!
Close to the beach. Beautifully decorated.
We had the pleasure of staying in this beautifully decorated beach house by the ocean! It was very clean with all the comforts of home, perfect for 4 people. We felt very much at home plus it was close to some great restaurants (breakfast at Caddy's is a must!), shopping was good and great golf courses within 30 minutes! It is just a short walk to this beautiful, well maintained beach. The beach is perfect for great walking and amazing sunsets! We will be back!
Quaint location, close to all amenities that have all the comforts of home. Towels, linens, utensils, appliances and beach chairs were all in great condition. Lovely decoration, quiet neighbors, great breezes, and close to everything on foot or by car. Multiple porches and verandas that make the outside even more enjoyable. The Inter-coastal and Gulf are less than a few hundred yards in each direction of the front porch. Truly a great vacation spot that we will go to again!
Treasure Island is a 15 minute drive to downtown St. Petersburg which has many museums, restaurants, galleries, shops and clubs. It is listed in the New York Times as one of the 52 Places to Go in 2014. Reinventing a Florida city’s reputation:
'With a redeveloped waterfront, a stunning Dali Museum, and sophisticated restaurants in place, the downtown energy is now heading up historic Central Avenue, thanks in part to the craft beer scene. Among the many recent arrivals, artsy Cycle Brewing features Fixie and Endo ales, while Green Bench Brewing Co., the name a nod to those erstwhile icons, invites winter escapees to its sunny taproom and beer garden.' Treasure Island is a 15 minute drive to the Tropicana Dome to see the Tampa Bay Rays; 30 minutes to Yankees Spring Training in Tampa or 30 minutes to Phillies Spring Training in Clearwater. Busch Gardens is 40 minutes away in Tampa and Orlando amusement parks are 1.5 hours drive. Outlet shopping in Ellenton. 45 minutes to Sarasota.
