Rent a house in the Heart of the Rocky Mountains. This Cozy Gallatin Gateway House is centrally located between The Big Sky Ski Resort and Bridger Bowl Ski Resort. (45 min drive either way). Take a short easy 15 minuet drive to Beautiful Bozeman. An easy 2 min walk, a mere block from the Historic Old Faithful Inn, aka-Stacy's in Gallatin Gateway. This Legendary Steak House and Cowboy bar books a band every weekend. There are three other restaurant/bars within 5 to 10 min. I can supply more info later.
The house has two upstairs bedrooms which have very comfortable queen beds with down comforters. (The second upstairs bedroom is being converted and pictures are on the way. This bedroom features French doors that open to the back deck, which leads to the hot tub). There is a third bedroom downstairs, where the washer and dryer are located, but be aware, there is only one bathroom, thats why I only advertise two bedrooms.
The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly want.
The art deco bathroom is small yet a pleasure to tub or shower in.
There is a wonderful Sunken HOTTUB off of deck.
A cozy, warm comfortable House with large screen TV, Netflix, &, WiFi.
I grew up in Bozeman Mt. Kindergarten through collage, I have also lived in Kallispell Mt., birthplace of my oldest daughter. I spent 4 glorious years in Paradise Valley Mt. and also resided in Castle Rock Colorado where my other two children were born.
I have been in the antique business for the last 15 years and have now had the opportunity to head south for the winter. I have family nearby who will be taking care of my property.
Gwen Allen purchased this house in 2006
I moved to Gallatin Gateway because I just wanted to live a less hectic life, and living just out side of the Bozeman donut has provided me with a quiet country living yet close to city life. The property is located on an acre of land so I have plenty of space.
I bought the house in 2006 and did an almost complete remodel, I was able to incorporate my sense of style and design, and many elements of antiques. The stove is true vintage 1950, and works great.
I love the space and freedom this area allows. I have a tipi in the yard, horses next door and the night time sky and soaking in the hot tub is wonderful entertainment. You can even hear the Gallatin River from my house which is just yards away.
A short walk will take you to the river, to great food and entertainment, yet the property nestled in and quite private.
Angie and her family were wonderful guests and treated my house with great respect! I would host them again anytime!! They left the house as nice as they found it!
We had a wonderful stay- the amount of treasures and unique art in the home kept us busy for hours checking it all out. We stayed in the fall, and the hot tub was a perfect way to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets in the evening. Gwen was also so easy to work with and accommodating! Highly recommend this fun and inviting house!
This was my first experience with a VRBO property and I was somewhat anxious about the stay. After booking I did e-mail Gwen several questions about the stay and each time she answered promptly and was a tremendous help. Upon arrival, we were very pleased with the property and after a long day of driving the hot tub was wonderful. The house is unique and even after three days I was still finding new things around the house of interest. There was plenty of bedding and towels and the kitchen was more than adequately stocked. We did utilize the hot tub and deck every evening and had family over for a BBQ and played lawn game. The house gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy our down time much more than any hotel. Though it was about 15 miles away from Bozeman, this was never an issue for us as we were going between locations of Bozeman and Big Sky. This property seems to have all you would need and more and I would very highly recommend a stay here if in the area.
very comfortable and appropriate for our needs. Gateway is a great little town
We were very happy with our stay here. The house was amazing! Very comfortable and cozy! We arrived before our planned time and Gwen was nice enough to let us check in early. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet and the house was easy to find with the directions Gwen gave us. We have already recommended this house to family and would definitely stay here again!!
Our family decided a bit last minute to spend our 4th of July week in the Bozeman area. Not keen on renting a motel room for 6 days, we opted to find a vacation home rental. After some searching we decided on this beautiful gem.
The home and property are their own unique version of country cottage meets eclectic charm. From the moment we opened the front door, until the day we departed, we continued to be blown away by the property and it's very gracious owner, Gwen.
The week we visited, temperatures were hovering around 100 degrees. Despite the scorching heat outside, the inside of the house remained cool and comfortable. The property is located on a lazy street, which is perfect for opening up the windows at night.
The home was stocked with all of the essential amenities, and a few luxuries as well. The full kitchen was completely furnished and ready for any meal I cooked that week. The dining room, with it's wonderful ambiance, has plenty of seating for several adults.
I don't remember ever being as relaxed and refreshed upon returning home from a vacation as I was after this trip. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful property in the future.
This was the perfect setting for my husband and I to make day trips on our motorcycle around the beautiful Bozeman, MT area. Gwen, the owner, was most gracious and her 50's era home was absolutely lovely inside with beautiful furnishings for that period and outside with many wonderful seating areas and gorgeous flowers. The house is located right next door to Gateway Bible Church, one of four original town buildings. We attended their Sunday morning services and were welcomed by wonderful community people. A second original building, just one block south, houses Stacey's Old Faithful Inn, a hoppin' bar and great grill. We also had a fabulous Thursday night Rib Eye for just $12.99 at the Buffalo Jump Bar and Grill just a half mile down the road. We skipped the Gentlemen's Club located in the back of this great establishment. We would highly recommend this home.
Gallatin Gateway is a quick 20 min. drive from the airport. 15 min drive from Bozeman. The small town of Salesville is just off of HWY 191 was renamed Gallatin Gateway simply because it was the Milwaukee Railroad's last stop before the Yellowstone National Parks West Entrance. (now 1 1/2 hour drive).
Gallatin Gateway is a small, quaint town and home to Stacys, Old Faithful Inn, a famous old west, Bar/restaurant, established in the 1930s, and just one block away. Stacys has a band every weekend, and the food is wonderful, best burger I have ever had, and I have tried many.
The property you will be staying at is nestled between two amazing ski resorts, Big Sky Resort, & Bridger Bowl, each a 45 min drive. Both areas have snow shoeing, sledding, cross country skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, all the wonderful winter activity's one comes to the mountains for.
Just down the road 15 min. is Bozeman which hosts all Mountain living amenities. Bozeman is home to the Museum of the Rockies, movie theaters, occasional live theater, fitness facilities, shopping, antiquing...and so much more.
Many a fisherman flock to this area because the Fly Fishing, is epic here, with the Gallatin River, Madison, Jefferson, Missouri, Yellowstone, Big Hole Rivers within close proximity.
This is a wonderful spot just off the beaten path, but one you will be very comfortable at.
