We spent four month last summer/fall to do a gut renovation on the large front unit in our four-plex in this very walkable Long Beach neighborhood as our part time second home.
Main living area is a large living room open to a cooks kitchen and dining room. Kitchen has new GE Profile appliances, quartz counter tops, and is well equipped to let you eat and entertain at home. Dining room and Master Bedroom have doors to the private patio. 50 inch HDTV in living room, 32 inch HDTV in master bedroom. Master suite has a king size bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen size, and two twin beds in 3rd. Double garage, and plenty of easy on street parking too. Private patio has a large table with umbrella and 6 chairs. Charcoal BBQ grill too.
After searching several warm locales from Florida to Arizona for a winter retreat from Colordo, we settled on redoing the existing large apartment in our Long Beach 4-plex. We like a walkable neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. So we are sharing this space as we wait to hit full retirement in a couple years. The other three units are full time occupied with long term tenants in the 30-65 age range, so it's not a place to rent if you plan late night parties/events at the property.

This was the perfect choice for my family members who were coming to Long Beach for a wedding. The unit is quite spacious, well-decorated, and very clean. There is a small patio with a grill and a patio table set. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware.The living room is spacious and has a large TV. Everything was really wonderful. The only slight difficulty we had was parking. We had two cars and so one was able to park in the garage. But the other car, and then another visitor we had over had a pretty big challenge finding street parking in the evening. During the day parking was not a problem but if we came back later in the evening it was difficult. The property manager suggested that we park in the alley right in front of the garage, but that made it difficult for our family member who was parked in the garage to come and go. But that was a very small challenge in what was otherwise a perfect stay.
We had a great time staying this property during 9/9 to 9/13 for 4 nights for the Long Beach Beauty Show. The property was clean, space was huge and we even had a pleasant opportunity to first time using the new couch the owner just bought! The location is so convenient! Every night, We took 2 minutes to walk to the Food Store which just in frond of the house to buy everything we needed.

Communication with Charlie beforehand was excellent and very easy to get keys.
The house is fabulous! It is a modern decor and had everything we needed. It is well maintained and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped with all cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. Even small things like paper towels, foil, rubbish bags, coffee filters etc were all there.
The lounge has excellent air conditioning, the rooms have fans. The rooms are all very good sizes with large built-in wardrobes so lots of space for clothes. The utility room had a washing machine and dryer.
The neighbourhood was quiet, there is off-street parking in the garage to the rear and having Ralph's across the road was super convenient. There are several restaurants/coffee shops within walking distance. All locations like Disneyland, beaches and other child friendly attractions were all within easy distance.
The whole house has been modernised and nicely furnished. It was a 'home away from home' and we highly recommend it. We will use it again in the future when visiting family.
This gentleman Jim is the worst manager I've seen. He knocks on your door like housekeeping to walk inside. Can't make a lot of noise cause he's worst than the cops. I highly do not recommend this property just. Cause of him. Sink didn't work and towels were dirty
Everyone in our family commented that the pictures for this home did not reflect how large the unit was or how nice. The great room was very spacious. We had six adults on our vacation and never once felt crowded. Everything in the unit was top of the line in quality. Really felt like a home away from home. Jim, the manager, was awesome. He went beyond the call of duty in making our stay nice. He even saved us from a $50 ticket when we parked in the wrong area on street cleaning day (my husband didn't read the very precise instructions Charlie gave us regarding the Friday morning street cleaning). Also loved having the Ralph's right across the street. Made everything very convenient since we cooked most of our meals in the unit (which was stocked with all manner of cooking items). Another plus was the proximity to the beach. It's probably a ten minute walk to the beach area - there is a walking trail that goes for miles along the beach. It was great to be able to go on a walk in the early morning on the beautiful beach - lots of walkers/bikers so always felt safe. Highly recommend this unit.
About 3 miles to downtown and the convention center and Long Beach Aquarium. About 3 miles the other direction to 2nd Street shopping/dining district, pier and swimming beaches. 30-45 minutes to Disneyland, Downtown LA, Hollywood, The Getty, and the great surfing of Huntington Beach. 90 minutes to San Diego, Lego Land, and lots of things to do and see in between
