Peaceful hideaway, clean, great host
Very clean property, lovely host who was very helpful and very friendly if approached, but also allows guests to enjoy their holiday undisturbed if wished. Birdsounds only. Really quiet, peaceful retreat. Lovely views. Pool lovely. Dogs friendly. Well placed for visiting Andalucia. The upstairs bedroom is large, and gated so safe from the stairs, but not enclosed, so noise travels from/to upstairs. This didn't concern us at all but might bother others. Beds comfy. Well stocked kitchen and larder. Homemade jam lovely. We would like to go back.
We absolutely loved staying at Leo's place. After the heat and crowds of Seville the cool quiet of Leo's place was very welcome. The pool was glorious, the peace and quiet much appreciated as was Leo's generosity with supplies and very helpful information.
great location, beautiful setting & very helpful host!
We really enjoyed our time at the house. Leo was really helpful about logistics, local sights, supermarkets and all! The location is fantastic - to be so close to glorious Ronda was a real pleasure. We loved the balance of exploring & then quiet time swimming & relaxing. The pool is wonderful with spectacular views out over the countryside. The accommodation is perfect for a couple, or a couple with a baby as Leo set up a great cot. We had a toddler with us & she was very obedient about the stairs fortunately - they are not ideal for a small one. Leo's many dogs are very present, if you don't like dogs then this is not the place for you.
In all, a very happy week, thank you Leo.
Wanted to stay longer, we loved it.
Leo is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. The area is so tranquil and relaxing and the Cortijo was fantastic, there is lots to do around the area and plenty of outstanding scenery, all of the doggies were lovely and very friendly, we stayed in February and lit the wood burner at night which made it so cozy, we wont hesitate to return.
Yes, what can I say, my wish is that my guests feel comfortable, and if they are just nice, then it is not difficult for me to be there for my guests. I always say, "If you need me, I'll be there for you. If not, you will not see me.
A tranquil villa in rural Andalucía.
A warm welcome from Leo and a fridge full of basic supplies in a well-stocked kitchen (our 3rd stay in Andalucía but the first where we've had matching wine glasses AND a corkscrew!) started off a fantastic 2-week holiday. A very restful place to stay, an easy car-ride to Ronda, with plenty to see in the surrounding area and some major sights an hour and a half (Antequera, Seville, Málaga) to two and a half hours (Granada, Cordoba) away. Leo's very hospitable and full of advice if you need it - without him we wouldn't have known about the prehistoric paintings in the Cuaves de Piletta or the Roman theatre at Acinipo close by, with it's fantastic views, despite having been in the area before - thanks again!
The dogs were a delight and their good behaviour a tribute to Leo's training. The working farm next door barely imprinted on the peacefulness of the environment and the well tended olive groves made it typically Andalucían. The pool was just right and the garden beautiful - with the best fresh figs we've ever tasted!
We're sure we'll be back next year.

Wonderful country retreat
We stayed with Leo for two weeks in April, 2017. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Weather was perfect! Leo is a great host and provided everything we needed including great conversation and friendship!! Our little casa suited us perfectly. Bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, and we really liked our patio and grill. Pool was lovely but too cool inApril to take advantage of it. All in all I would recommend this listing as a good place to stay to explore Ronda and the surrounding white villages. Sincerely, Diane and Greg Egan, Wisconsin, USA.
Hola Diane and Greg,
many thanks for your miracolous assesment of my Casita. It was tobe got to know to mea joy to you, you became whole great guests..
I wish you all the best an would be glad to be allowed to welcome you again with myself.
Nestling in a beautiful fertile valley just 15 minutes from the picturesque, historic town of Ronda with excellent restaurants, tapas bars and shopping facilities. Setenil de las Bodegas, a village which features numerous splendid tapas bars carved into the side of a cliff is just 10mins away. The cottage is perfectly placed for visits to Seville, Cadiz and Cordoba, as well as the magnificent Alhambra in Granada. The Grazalema National Park, and the lake alongside Zahara de la Sierra, is just a few minutes away. Within an hour or so you can reach Malaga, Seville and Jerez Airports, and the gorgeous beaches of the Costa de la Luz. Truly a haven to enjoy a cultural break, or for the more adventurous, the perfect base from which to explore this amazing region with its incredible scenery, its varied bird and wildlife (vultures and eagles everywhere!), or to just simply escape the rigours of everyday life, relax and chill-out with a chilled local Rioja!
