Our beautiful 1 bedroom apartment is situated on a garden development surrounded by well kept lawned areas. There is a small mini-market, 3 restaurants and a couple of good bars only 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The sandy beach at Torrox Costa with its promenade, restaurants and supermarkets is only a 5 mnute drive away. The local beach at Penoncillo is a 15 - 20 minute walk away from the apartment. The lovely town of Nerja with the Balcon de Europe, beach, caves, shops and market is 10 minutes drive. Malaga airport is approximately a 45 minute drive on the motorway.

This area has a micro-climate of spring-like weather during the winter.

We enjoy our lovely apartment during the winter and make it a very comfortable home from home for our guests to enjoy in the summer time.

We enjoy the great walks either along the promenades or in the foothills of the mountains.

Why Shirley Johnson chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

Our apartment is very comfortable and well equipped with leather sofas, large bed, fabulous Mediterranean and mountain views, English television and WIFI.

The surrounding area is very beautiful and peaceful but is only 5 minutes from the blue flag beaches and the local towns.

There are good local restaurants and bars only a short walk from the apartment.

What makes this apartment unique

Lovely views of the sea and mountains, large sunny terrace, very comfortable leather sofas, well equipped for guests convenience. Free parking outside apartment.

Absolutely splendid, recommended!

Me and my wife stayed at this apartment for a week and had an absolutely splendid time! The first thing we noticed was how well appointed the apartment was, it had everything we needed - a fabulous large sunny terrace (balcony), English satellite TV, wifi broadband internet, a decent kitchen, plenty of storage space etc. The area is very friendly and it's just a short walk to several nice restaurants and bars. There are lovely beaches within a 5-10 minute drive as well as some interesting local towns and villages. We would definitely come back again, this apartment is highly recommended!

Very relaxing but plenty to do

The wife and I spent a great couple of weeks in this beautiful apartment. Size was just right for the two of us, but a couple with one small child would fit no problem.

Location was just about perfect - the apartment itself is near the top of a street of similar 2 and 3 story developments with a far reaching view over Torrox Costa. It was very quiet and peaceful and as we arrived and stepped out onto the terrace we could almost feel the stress falling away.

Walking distance there are a couple of bar/restaurants. we ate in the one attached to the campsite and had a very nice fish and chips. We stopped in the other and found ourselves in the middle of a lively karaoke night. Not usually our thing but it was good fun to have a couple of drinks and watch the action!

Will definitely be coming back as soon as we can.

A lovely apartment with beautiful views

We had a truly enjoyable week in this apartment. It is in a comfortable position in a friendly area. There is a very laid back attitude to the place, we could happily spend another couple of weeks here relaxing on the terrace. The terrace was

ideal for sunbathing, reading and just sitting back and drinking the occasional G&T! When we felt like being more active there were plenty of things to keep us busy locally, like walking, cycling and visiting the local attractions, i.e. The Nerja caves. We visited several interesting areas and there are some friendly local restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you fancy a laid back week in the sun with no worries then you need to look no further, we highly recommended this apartment and we will certainly be back in 2013.

A comfortable apartment in a great location

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The location is quiet and relaxing which suited us very well. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the terrace with views to the mountains in one direction and distant sea views in the other. The local bars within walking distance are good, Los Amigos for entertainment and a welcoming atmosphere and El Pino for incredibly reasonably priced meals. Drive up to Frigiliana and have lunch at the Balcon de Frigiliana, the views are beautiful from their terrace. Also The Avalon on the way to Nerja is lovely, the best meal we had during our holiday .Also the Donkey Sanctuary is worth a visit. Torrox Park is a very nice residential area.
