This villa suited our needs perfectly. It is spacious, spotlessly clean and well maintained. We had very minor issues, one being out of the owners control but the response from the property manager was quick and efficient. I would recommend this villa.
Mar Menor Villa
Spacious and well equipped villa, well located close to the resort hotel and golf course. On site facilities are good with multiple restaurants and a well stocked Spar to cater to your needs. The nearest seaside town is Los Alcazeres, which has a good beach and maintains its Spanish identity. There is a plethora of modern supermarkets to choose from incl Aldi, Lidl and Mercadona, all within 5 mins drive.
The golf course is excellent and well worth the €45 green fees. There is an excellent driving range within 5 mins walk of the villa and there is the opportunity for a walk or even a trim trail all on the resort.
The cycling in the area is fabulous with some stunning rides available if you have 2 to 3 hours to spare. Bike hire and guided rides are available from the outstanding Etiquette Cycling - I strongly recommend a ride to Portman beach, stopping in La Unión on the way back for a coffee and cake at La Garbanzal cafe.
Slightly further afield, Murcia and Cartagena are only about half an hour's drive and both are lovely cities for shopping and sightseeing. Although the autovia to Murcia is excellent, I recommend the scenic route via the RM-F13 - you won't be disappointed.
Overall, I strongly recommend Murcia and this villa is a good a place to stay a any.
Nice villa in a good resort
This is probably the cleanest villa we have stayed in, all the bedrooms aircon's worked and overall a very good location to stay. The pool is a good size and the garden is very nice.
The resort itself was nice and a great location to get out (as long as you have a car) to Cartagene, Mar Menor or Murcia. There are lots of things to do in the area.
The 2 minor issues are that the kids disco is on 4 days a week from 8-10pm, and you can here it from the villa so can keep kids awake and the internet was a bit flakey but I think that is a resort issue as the telecom company were laying more fibre whilst we were there.
Fab week away in the sun
Great villa, great location and you can even use the hotel round the corner for just 15 euros
Lovely villa. Great area. Would have been perfect if we didn't have to listen to booming music and shouting from surrounding properties. Such a pity.
Thank you for your review. What a nuisance having noisy neighbours. I can only presume these people were renting the property as it’s not something I’ve come across or had complaints about before. It’s a shame you didn’t bring this to my attention at the time as we could have done something about it.
Great villa well situated and nice pool
We had a great stay at the villa which is really well located next to the hotel. We liked the gated community. The villa itself was perfect for our needs and the pool was great
The local community regard the Costa Calida as 'Spain's best kept secret' - with 320 days of sunshine every year, you can understand why. The bustling towns of Murcia and Cartagena, both offering excellent shopping and visitor attractions, including a harbour, are only a short drive away. More locally, 3 kilometres away, you will find Los Alcazares offering inviting clean beaches, local bars and cafe's and the Mar Menor itself known world wide for its healing salt water lagoon, white sands, safe non-tidal waters and every water sport under the sun. Explore also the small fishing village of Cabo de Palos where you can sample the catch of the day in one of the many fish restaurants, or simply sit back and enjoy unspoilt Spain.
