Only 200 m to the sandy beach, 4 bedrooms, for up to 8 people

Only about 200 m from the sandy beach and about 50 m above sea level the large and well-kept house is located. It will convince you through the equipment the excellent location. It comprises 4 bedrooms and is perfectly suitable for two to 8 people that are looking for a holiday in a nice and spacious environment.

In December 'including Christmas tree'

The sun terrace (about 230 m²) with its ca. 7.1 x 4.5 m solar-heated pool (heating of the water by solar collectors) invites you for hours of relaxation. The pool appears stylish and romantic in the dark with its colourful illumination.

The terrace is partly roofed, has 2 comfortable seating areas, an exterior kitchen with a fireplace grill as well as an additional dining area with fireplace. Parasol, loungers etc. are of course available.

The marvellous view on the Bay of San Marcos and the sea will make you remember these holidays for a long time.

Surroundings: In close proximity you can discover a lot, like e.g.: Icod de los Vinos, only 2 km away, which is surrounded by wine terraces and banana trees. The biggest attraction is the ca. „1000 years“ old, massive dragon tree 'Drago milenario'. It is situated in the „Parque del Drago“. Here you will receive a good impression about the Canarian vegetation. The tree-covered hills above Icod with laid out hiking tracks invite you to go hiking or only walking a bit. In the small town Garachico (ca. 5 km away) you can visit the nice old town with its fortress.

Cities: Life in all its colour can be experienced in the harbour town Puerto de la Cruz (ca. 20 km away). The old city is very historic with a lot of shops and restaurants. The famous Orotava Valley (that has even been described by Humboldt) is ca. 25 km away. In the old town of Orotava you can admire the nice, carved balconies.

Countrysides: Crossing the Orotava Valley you can drive all the way up to the Teide, the highest mountain of Spain (3,718 m). Up here on the 'crater' (ca. 16 km diameters, ca. 2,200 m high) you can marvel at the simply fantastic countryside. With an aerial railway you can 'float' onto a height of ca. 3,550 m and enjoy the wonderful view from there. After application you can also 'scale' the peak. If you are light on your feet, it is a must to hike through the 'Masca' canyon in the Teno Mountains (ca. 30 km away). Here you can discover the breath-taking countryside in 3 - 4 hours.

Two weeks in San Marcos

This was a good family villa. The property was clean and tidy and well maintained. We had a problem with a broken bed during our stay that was promptly delt with by the owners agent.

Of particular note was a large covered outside seating area that we used far more than the large indoor lounge. it was here that we had all our meals and spent our evenings (when not out dining in the local area). There was also a large and efficient barbecue (the best I've seen in a rented holiday property). The swimming pool was a bit of a hit with our eldest grandaughter (aged 7) who was never out of it!

On the down side the satelitte TV subscriptions were for German rather than English programmes. The grandkids were a little bemused seeing Sponge Bob Square Pants speaking German! However this is only a small point and if people go way to watch TV then perhaps they should not bother going away at all!

Puerto de San Marcos is very small and compact and may not therfore suit some families who want a full on resort with all facilities. Still we loved it, there were plenty of places to eat (given it's size) and the small beach was lovely. It did however get very busy at weekends. There is only one shop in San Marcos which is situated in an appartment block at the top of the village. As the place, in common with a lot of others in Tenerife, is very hilly you need to be pretty fit unless you have a hire car (which we didn't).

There are more shops and facilities in Icod de la Vinos but this is more of a working town than a tourist resort. We went out for a meal on a Saturday night to find the town very quiet although we found a good restaurant. For our main shops we resorted to Taxi journies to the supermarket in Icod and good access to the north and east of the island is possible by bus from the town. Taxis were very reasonable (around 4 euros from San Marcos to Icod).

Sehr schöner erholsamer Familienurlaub

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig und sauber. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Man hat von der Terasse Meerblick und kann es auch hören. Es ist ein sehr schöner Pool am Haus mit angenehmer Wassertemteratur, Luftmatratze, viel Liege und Sitzmöglichkeiten und einem sehr schönen Außengrill mit Spüle. Der Hausverwalter ist sehr nett und Hilfsbereit.

Von San Marcos aus kann man alles sehr gut erreichen. Sehr empfehlenswert ist der Siam Park, Kinder können ab einer größe von 1,25 alles mitmachen bis auf einer Rutsche. Der Eintritt ist nicht sehr günstig aber es lohnt sich.

Der Vermieter hat uns mit ausreichend Informationen versorgt und hat immer sehr schnell auf E-mails geantwortet.

Wir würden das Haus jeder Zeit weiter empfehlen und auch nochmal wieder kommen. Danke für den schönen Urlaub.

Erholsamer Familienurlabu

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, sehr gut ausgestattet, ob Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, Espressomaschine wir haben während unseres Aufenthalts nichts vermisst. Fast wie Zuhause. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, der Pool ein wahrer Luxus. Auch die Aussenterasse mit Grill, hat uns Abends beim Kartenspiel an nicht´s Mangeln lassen.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt. Die Hausverwaltung (deutschsprachig), war sehr hilfsbereit, kommunikativ und freundlich. Auch auf eMail-Verkehr wurde prompt und kompetent geantwortet.

Rundum ein erholsamer Urlaub für unsere Familie, ich würde die FeWo jederzeit Freunden und Verwandten weiterempfehlen.

Wohlfühlurlaub auf Teneriffa

Wir, zwei befreundete Familien, waren zu siebt 14 Tage lang in der Casa suerte zu Gast. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Angaben im Online-Inserat sind korrekt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und auch sauber. Besonders toll ist die Terrasse und der Pool! Der überdachte Außensitzplatz und der Grill sind toll für ausgedehnte lange Klön-Kartenspiel-Wein-draußen-sein Abende. Der Pool sorgt für Abkühlung beim Sonnenbaden, herrlich!

Wir fanden die Lage im eher ruhigeren Nordwesten optimal. Die Natur ist hier viel schöner als im Süden. Inmitten von Bananenplantagen, nah am Meer, felsige Küste (Badestrände sind im Süden besser!). Die Temperaturen im Hochsommer waren angenehm. Eine Klimaanlage braucht man nicht.

Ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Touren auf der Insel. Besonders eindrucksvoll die Tour zum Teide: Eine völlig andere Welt! Der Nachbarort Garachico, sehr schön, besonders die Piscinas naturales. Auch La Laguna ist ein bezauberndes Städtchen, schön zum flanieren und shoppen. Auch das westlichste Ende der Insel, Punta de Teno ist sehr pittoresk.

Der Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut. Prompt und zuverlässig, genauso wie mit der Hausverwaltung. Wir würden dieses Haus unseren Bekannten und Freunden weiterempfehlen.

Casa Suerte

Großfamilie, 3 Generationen, hat in der Casa Suerte die optimale Unterkunft gefunden. Alles sauber, gut ausgestattet, viel Platz und eine wunderschöne Umgebung. Sehr hilfreiche Hausverwaltung und kinderfreundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Ferienhaus wärmstens empfehlen.

Perfekt

Besser geht es fast nicht mehr. Geräumig, viele Sitzmöglichkeiten, Grill, Pool, Internet ohne Probleme, guter Ausblick, angenehmes Klima, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants nicht weit weg. Was will man mehr?

The small, romantic beach of Playa de San Marcos is less known with the tourists but because its fine, dark sand it is the favoured bathing spot for insiders. It is situated in a protected place, deeply cut in the cliff-lined bay. Because of the wind and water protected area it is perfect for swimming, also during winter time. Parasols and loungers can be rented. On the beach there is a small promenade with several cafés, restaurants and bars and a pharmacy. A small supermarket is in ca. 150 m distance from the house, a bus stop in ca. 70 m. Ca. 100 m from the beach there is the small fishing port where you can buy freshly caught fish directly from the fishermen.

Golf: On maybe the prettiest golf course of Tenerife in Buenavista del Norte (ca. 15 km), directly located at the sea with a fantastic background, designed by the Spanish top golfer Severiano Ballesteros, you can try out your handicap.
