The perfect location for your DC vacation, this unique 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom property is situated in the heart of Georgetown's desirable East Village. The historic house is part of the L'Enfant Preservation Trust and has the unique charm of a classic Georgetown home. With a walk score of 94 ("Walker's Paradise"), it's an easy walk to both the Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom metro stations (Red, Orange, Silver and Blue lines) and just 2 blocks away from 2 different bus routes. Take a break from your sightseeing and relax in the private patio or visit Rose Park just steps away where you'll find tennis courts, a basketball court, two playground areas, and lots of open space.

On the ground level you'll find a large dining room that opens to the private patio garden. The chef's kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances, granite counters, and picture window view of the garden. Also, on the ground level is a conveniently located half bathroom.

Go up to the second floor and you'll find a spacious living room with plenty of seating and a wood burning fireplace. Perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing, there's a 40 inch TV with free HBO, Showtime, Netflix and access to lots more streaming entertainment. Also on the second floor is a bedroom with a full/double bed and a seating alcove with a view of the tennis courts. This bedroom also has it's own en suite full bathroom with shower.

On the third level you'll find wall-to-wall carpeting and the Master Bedroom with a large Queen sized bed plus sleeper chair that opens to a twin bed. The adjacent dressing room has plenty of storage space with two large double mirrored closets and a double dresser. For your convenience, this level also has a full sized washer and dryer. On the same level is the third bedroom with a pair of twin beds and clothes closet. On this level you'll find the beautifully renovated full bathroom with soaking tub.

Street parking in this part of Georgetown is quite easy and, for your convenience, we'll provide a DC temporary parking pass. This is a free service we offer to our guests. Park your car and forget about it until you leave. Walk or ride, it's the perfect DC getaway.

Impeccable! Great location!

  • 5 of 5

Amy was in contact well in advance of our arrival to help with any questions we may have. She is clearly a great host and she does not need to be there for you to realise it, plus, the condition of the house speaks for itself, we did not need her at all as all was perfect.

When it comes to the house it is perfectly located. Georgetown is the place you want to be in DC. A beautiful and quiet residential area very nice to walk, but also close to shops and restaurants with M Ave and the waterfront a few blocks away. Georgetown is also very close to the main attractions in DC (not walking distance tough).

The house was very clean, the area very quiet, the appliances as good as you can get them and two social areas, inside and outside.

When trying to find a weakness, the bedroom at the top floor has a window that you cannot stop the morning light entering so if you need darkness to sleep that is not a room for you. It did not bother us at all and for that reason we still rated the experience as excellent.

Great location and very clean, nice house

  • 5 of 5

Amy was responsive from the very first correspondence. She made great recommendations for things to do and how to get around. The house is walking distance to M Street and the Potomac River which is great for shopping and restaurants. The interior of the house was clean, Pete's coffee was in the kitchen ready to be made and the furniture was comfortable.

We want to go back

  • 5 of 5

We three adults became temporary residents of Georgetown in Amy's lovely house for nine nights in early to mid October. We hope to return within the next couple of years. Amy was wonderfully helpful both before and during our stay.

Our first impressions were of how welcoming, clean and tidy and spacious the house is. The description on the listing is accurate and Amy has provided everything anyone could possibly need. We loved making this our home and enjoyed the meals we prepared and ate here and spending evenings in the huge lounge area planning our sightseeing (Amy provided lots of local information literature), and having breakfast and afternoon tea in the courtyard.

The house is located in a quiet leafy area by Rose Park tennis courts, and all that is Georgetown is a short and delightful walk away. We varied our route to public transport each day to admire the houses and their Halloween decorations. Bus transport to the city or to Foggy Bottom metro is about a fifteen minute stroll and the Smartrip cards served us well.

Within a few minutes walk of the house are convenience stores, an excellent liquor store and the incomparable Stachowski's deli.

We recommend the Free Tours on Foot of Old Alexandria with Rebecca, and of Georgetown itself with Dan. Both guides were friendly, enthusiastic and excellent and very knowledgeable communicators. Our best meal of the holiday was at Agora near Dupont Circle: we hope they will give us their recipe for Ottoman Rice. The most astonishing buildings we visited were the Buildings Museum and the Library of Congress: they took our breath away.

Fabulous home in Georgetown

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six stayed in this Georgetown home while exploring Washington DC. The home was updated, well stocked for meals and clean. It was an ideal location that felt safe at anytime of day/night. We enjoyed the park across the street each evening with our children playing tennis or on the playground. The courtyard was a bonus and we were able to eat several meals outside. Amy was a delight to interact with during the rental process and throughout our visit. She is quick to respond to questions and is very organized. This is a gem in Georgetown!

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable and so convenient!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for us from the minute we walked in. It had everything we needed for a remarkably comfortable stay. The location can't be beat - right in the heart of Georgetown, surrounded by gorgeous homes and brick sidewalks and a very short walk to all of the restaurants and shops on Wisconsin Ave. and M St. The rooms are all good sized but our favorite spot was the beautiful patio where we spent the majority of our time. It is a completely private outdoor space with comfortable chairs and dining table, surrounded by plants and flowers. It was the perfect spot for both morning coffee and evening wine.

Amy was extremely accommodating and easy to work with. We will definitely go back here on our next trip to DC!
