Key West Village is the newest village in the Beaches Resort, that opened up in May 2013. Access to 3 pools in Key West Village included. If day passes are purchased through the Beaches Resort, then you have access to the waterpark, the other Beaches pools and food and drink.
Food and drink is not included, however for additional fees, you can purchase all inclusive day and/or night passes to be used in all Beaches restaurants and bars.
This is a unique opportunity to enjoy being part of the well known Beaches Resort, without having to pay the large costs to have all inclusive meals and drinks for the entire stay. You have the opportunity to choose certain days/nights to have all inclusive, or to go off resort and enjoy the island's many restaurants and bars within a 5 minute drive.
Just finished a fabulous vacation at beaches resorts staying at this villa. Villa is extremely clean spacious comfortable and well appointed. The owner Ross while sometimes takes a day or two to respond was extremely helpful and very open and honest about the villa and most importantly about the relationship with the beaches Resort.
The villa is located in the Key West section of the beaches resort and entitles you to the use of the Key West amenities including the pools beach and spa. The spa and gym are just a few feet away and was a great plus during our vacation.
This villa is one of the last privately owned villas in the beaches resort which makes for an interesting relationship. The beaches management is very clear to point out when you get there that you are not entitled to any of the beaches resort amenities including the pools in the other sections the restaurants, bars, water park and any food or drink. You must remain in the Key West section although you can walk along the beach. To avoid that situation we also took rooms at beaches so that we were entitled to all the amenities. Everyone knew that even though we were in the “private villa” we were also beaches guests so we were treated very well. If not the staff there told us that we would be closely watched to make sure that we stayed within the boundaries.
Your other option includes buying day passes but since the price is exorbitant so the only real option remaining would be to take rooms.
So you may wonder what's the point of renting this villa privately and also taking rooms at the resort. But if you compare the price of taking a villa through beaches or taking this villa plus regular rooms you can save thousands. We had an amazing time doing this. We had the freedom to use all the benefits of the resort and there are many. We stayed in the nicest most exclusive area in an amazing villa that would have been otherwise financially prohibitive. Only thing you don't get is daily cleaning but the owner arranged at our request a cleaning person to come in once during our stay at very minimal and reasonable cost. I would highly recommend this
In the end I can't comment on how our trip would have been without having our additional rooms at the beaches resort, but I can say that the Villa is great, we had an extremely enjoyable comfortable vacation and if we decided to come back to beaches would seek the same opportunity. Thank you Ross!
We had a great stay in December 2015. We were two families of 4 and found the house to have an excellent set up - master bedroom is enormous and was perfect for the 4 kids/teens, while each couple still had a bedroom with a king bed. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything needed for cooking at home. Loved the many balconies (3 plus the front porch) and the location is excellent. Set right in the middle of the Beaches Key West Village there is a gym right next door, three lovely/quiet pools ranging from directly out the back door to a 30 second walk and the gorgeous beach is also about a 30 second walk! We've been to many beaches around the world and this beach is truly one of, if not the absolute best!! When you book here the owner will make it clear that you are not part of the Beaches all-inclusive.....so there is no food/drink included and you are expected to stay in the Key West area (and anywhere along the beach of course!) Beaches employees definitely watched us very closely and we weren't planning on helping ourselves to meals/drinks anyway. In our case we also had 4 people registered as Beaches guests so they DID make use of the food/drink and waterpark a couple of times. Those of us staying at the house did a big shop at IGA (5 minute drive away) and were happy to eat at home for the most part. My brothers family also ate at various restaurants around the island and enjoyed that! We have stayed at Beaches in the Italian Village (last year) and prefer the Key West area as it's MUCH less crowded and more relaxing. Now & then we missed the ease of grabbing a drink or meal on site but we knew this was not included when we booked and it's not worth the huge extra cost! The convenience of having our own stocked kitchen was actually nice and there are plenty of restaurants on the island if you enjoy going out. In short, we would recommend this house without hesitation for anyone wanting to skip the all-inclusive part of Beaches - and who enjoys the quieter atmosphere of the Key West Village. On a side note you can buy day passes for Beaches but they have increased the prices to a rather ridiculous amount (kid passes still reasonable at $180 but adults are over $500/day)
The house is ok. Large, good furnitures, beds relatively comfortable. Kitchen is well equiped, good tv, wi-fi works well, showers and bath not good at all. The owner is not a easy man to find. Although he leaves telephones and messages to call him, he's never there. But that's not a problem. The big concern is: the house is inside Beaches Resort. That could be a good thing, but becomes you're worst nightmare. Because of their politic of "all-inclusive", they don't allow you to get in the other properties of the resort, cause you could ask for a drink or food or use the pool, whatever. It's comprehensible. I knew the politics, the owner warned me, properly. We talked to the kids to never use pools, restaurantes and stuffs. One day, I was taking my 9yo disabled daughter and my family for a brief walk on her wheelchair, inside the properties, before going to the supermarket and we're KICKED-OFF BY SECURITY GUARDS!!! That was the rudest compliment I ever had by an hotel. I felt so bad. It was just to see the place, to relax. No way: out!!! From that day, I sweared to myself I'd never come back to any Beaches Resort for my entire life. We're confined to the wonderful Grace Bay beach and the small and harsh pool on Key West Village and that's it. The thing is: although there are private properties at Beaches and owners can rent them, they simply don't want you there. You're feel like Personna Non Grata. That's not a good mood for vacation. That's why I think it's not worthy to rent this house, it can be very frustrating. Unfortunely, the (lack of) culture of that wonderful, beautiful, astonishing island is all based on exploitation: of the nature and your money. It's all in or nothing at all. Too bad, for a paradise.
Family of 7 and we had a blast!!! the accommodations were amazing, the rooms, kitchen, dining room, and size are more than we expected. We recommend this villa to all of our friend, and even with purchasing the day passes we saved thousands of dollars. The Key West Village is the most beautiful part of the Beaches property, we were the envy of all who learned about our secret rental. We will be doing this again soon, thank you Ross for all your help and taking the time to answer every question we had. The perfect family vacation!!!
We had a wonderful time. The owner was up front and told us that we would have to pay for food/ extra activities. We were happy to do so. It was one of our most enjoyable trips. It allowed us to use the resort facilities when we wanted to and to eat locally as well.
The owner called to check a number of times. Everything was clean and maintained to a high quality level. Would go back and stay again.
I stayed at this property for a week just this past May. What an amazing experience and what a beautiful resort! My family of 5 included myself, my husband and our 3 small children, plus another family of 6 all of whom had a great time. The owner was very easy to deal with, giving me names and numbers for the rental car and places to eat. After arriving at the resort, a Beaches employee told us that we were not allowed to use the Beaches pools, only the ones on the Key West Village side, which had 3 gorgeous pools. Instead we contacted the owner who told us to go ahead and enjoy ourselves, but cautioned that we were not allowed to partake in the all inclusive food packages (which we weren't interested in anyways). I'm so glad we listened to him, it was a wonderful vacation. The children had a great time at the waterpark and pools, and when we felt we wanted a quieter setting, we ventured back over to the Key West Village side. The Beaches employees (with the exception of Beverly at the front desk) were very polite and treated us great. The owner called twice during our stay to make sure we were comfortable and happy with the house, and we had his cell phone number to call anytime we needed. The house itself is GORGEOUS!! A 3 bed, 3 bath with 3 large king size beds that slept all the adults comfortably, and the Beaches staff brought in 3 extra cots for the children. It is beautifully maintained, clean and the kitchen was spacious and we cooked all our main meals there. the grocery stores are only a 5 minute drive away, and although a little bit expensive, we were able to find everything the kids liked. This property is a perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy a resort with anemities that Beaches offers, without all the limited (and not so tasty) food selection. Owner is easy to deal with and accommodating. Instead of spending thousands of dollars with the actual resort, we saved over half of that. We have booked again for
Christmas holidays and cannot wait to return. Highly recommended.
