Welcome to our Citrus Estate - it is a 4-bedroom, 3 bathroom home in the best location - within 3 blocks of El Paseo. The Citrus Estate offers Mid-Century Modern Design with every essential and luxury amenity. It is located on a gorgeous south-facing 1/2 acre lot surrounded by a ficus hedge for privacy with 29 Palm Trees and other architectural agave and lady palm plantings. Plus, the Citrus Estate is only 3 short blocks to El Paseo, the best shopping and dining street in the whole desert. When the sun shines in Palm Desert 350 days per year, it is the most reliable vacation spot possible. You'll never want to go home once you've stayed at the Citrus Estate!


The Citrus Estate is situated on a south-facing 1/2 acre, professionally-landscaped lot within a 3-block walk to El Paseo. It features a large 32x16 foot salt-water heated pool, a brand-new 12-person salt-water spa with 8 forceful jets for your neck, back, calves and feet! We have planted a ficus hedge all along the perimeter of the back yard for maximum privacy, greenery and sophistication.

You will love the ambiance created by the LED colour-changing pool/spa lighting. It is so serene to sit in the spa listening to your playlist while watching the pool/spa slowly move from turquoise to blue to green to magenta.

Move from the Spa to the custom modern natural gas firepit with turquoise fireglass. With a cushioned sectional, you can really relax and enjoy the soothing flames and warmth of the fire, while overlooking the color-changing pool lights. With music everywhere in the back-yard, you can always listen to your favorite playlist on the Sonos sound system.

During the day, relax by the pool on one of 8 modern citrus color chaise lounges with a terry-cloth chaise-lounge cover. Or, float in the heated pool on one of 4 pool floats, all while listening to your favorite music and taking in the mountain views. You can also get some shade under one of the 4 commercial-grade umbrellas (orange of course!) or under the shaded lanai that spans over 60-feet across the back of the house.

The Citrus Estate is ideal for your summer vacation as well with California Misters spanning across the lanai; they cool the air by 20 degrees!

The backyard at the Citrus Estate has the most spectacular mountain views imaginable from every vantage point. Particularly at dusk, the silhouettes of the Palm Trees against the mountains is spectacular.


You can dine indoors or outdoors at the Citrus Estate. Indoors, we have an Eero Saarinen Tulip table with 8 tulip chairs. Outdoors, we have an Orange outdoor dining table and chairs for 8 with two commercial grade stainless steel natural gas heaters so that you can dine outside 365 days/year! Of course, you'll be able to dine listening to your favorite dinner music from the Sonos sound system.


In over 2600 square feet of interior living space all expertly decorated in the mid-century modern style. Two wood-burning fireplaces, gorgeous modern furnishings, artwork on every wall, plenty of lighting, beautiful custom shades in every room and Jonathan Adler lighting everywhere!


Our Citrus Estate has 4 large bedrooms, each outfitted with a King-size bed & luxury pillow-top mattress, custom black-out blinds, a large HDTV, alarm clock, ceiling fan, and fine Trina Turk linens. You will have no trouble relaxing with six pillows on each King Size Bed (2 Euro Pillows for resting, and four additional pillows per bed).


The 3 bathrooms are brand new with Kohler fixtures, Carrera marble and glass shower enclosures. We provide bath towels, hand towels, face-cloths and bathmats for every guest. We even have a blow-dryer in every bathroom!


The open-concept kitchen is a chef's delight with Quartz countertops, professional series stainless steel Fridgidaire appliances (including a gas stove and dishwasher), filtered water, ice-maker, wine fridge, coffee-makers, and every cooking tool imaginable - Panini maker, mix-master, toaster, blender, coffee grinder, food processor and microwave. In addition, we have abundant supplies such as plates, glassware, acrylic-ware for outdoors, melamine for outdoors, roast-pans, cookie-sheets, citrus juicer, cheese grater, sharp knives, cutting boards, rolling pin and plenty of pots and pans. All of our kitchens are fully stocked so that you can cook virtually any kind of meal. We also have a large 95,000 BTU natural gas Stainless Steel Broil-King barbecue with two cooking grills and a separate burner. It heats to 700 degrees - just imagine the steaks you'll make!


In the living/dining room, you will find Eero Saarinen and Florence Knoll furnishings as well as George Nelson décor pieces in addition to a mirrored bar fully stocked with bar essentials (ice-bucket, wine cooler, corkscrew, martini-shaker), a wood-burning fireplace and a 60-inch HDTV along with a Sonos sound system that works with your I-phone. There are custom 'retro-square' shades by Delia Shades of New York City in the living room and dining room for shelter from the sun or evening privacy.


We have a tournament-size (8-foot) custom outdoor pool table covered with our signature 'Citrus Color' outdoor felt on a shaded patio with beautiful mountain views, a mid-century modern cement-block wall, and music from the Sonos system.

We also have an outdoor ping-pong table and outdoor foosball table for your enjoyment located in the backyard close to the Citrus Grove and the Sweet Acacia tree. Imagine playing ping-pong while enjoying the fragrant orange blossoms in the early spring! Outdoor lighting ensures that you can play even in the evening.


Free WiFi and free long-distance anywhere in the US and Canada, a printer and some essential office supplies.


We accept reservations through VRBO on-line or through our offices (see our email address). In order to reserve, we require 50% of the total cost of the reservation along with receipt of a completed and signed rental agreement. We are not able to hold any reservations pending receipt of funds or the contract as our properties book up very rapidly. If you wish to secure the reservation, the quickest way to do so is to book on-line through VRBO. Please be advised that VRBO processes payments through Europe and as a result, your credit card provider may charge you an international transaction fee.


Please be advised that our Palm Desert Vacation Rentals book up rapidly and are most often booked with a guest checking out in the morning and another guest checking in that evening. Our properties take approximately 5 hours to clean, and to wash, dry iron and replace all the linens and towels. Therefore, our check in time is 5:00 pm and our check-out time is 11:00 am. We are rarely able to offer an earlier check-in time or a later check-out time due to cleaning requirements. Therefore, if you wish to check-in prior to 5pm on the day of your arrival, the only way to do so is to book the property for the prior night (assuming the property is available on that day) and then you can check in at any time after 5pm the day prior to your arrival. Likewise, if you wish to check-out after 11am, the only way to do so is to book the property for the next day as well (assuming it's available) and then you can check-out at your leisure prior to 11am the following day.


All of our properties are subject to the Palm Desert Short Term Rental Rules. Accordingly, no events, disruption of the neighbors or parties of any kind are permitted at any of our Palm Desert Vacation Estates. No extra persons are permitted to stay at the property other than those listed on the Rental Contract. We expect our renters to provide the utmost of respect for the neighbors.

Our Cancellation Policy is in essence as follows: if a guest cancels, we will refund up to 90% of the amount paid to date if we secure a replacement reservation. Given our high occupancy rates, we have provided significant refunds to the few guests who have had to cancel. Guests can also purchase separate cancellation insurance through VRBO directly. Our Mid-Century Modern Citrus Estate is perfect for 4 couples or a large family of 8 persons. It has 4 king-size beds so that everybody will enjoy an excellent sleep. The most compelling features of our Citrus Estate are the expansive yard, the gorgeous pool/spa, and the incredible mountain views. With every inch of this property fully renovated, it is amazing!!!

Great amenities, and comfortable. Property description was accurate. Property was clean and well-maintained with the exception of a toilet in one of the bathrooms which did not properly flush because there was a bad seal inside the toilet tank. Good customer service. I would recommend to friends and relatives. Liked proximity to El Paseo and shopping centers.

Very Nice Family house

I had my adult children with us, and the house was liked by all. I do have some very picky children. It did rain while we were there, so we

didn't get to use a lot of the special amenities, but several of us used the hot tub, and pool Grill was great, and kitchen had everything we needed.

I do like having the ability to walk into the shopping area.

Family Friendly Tricked-out Party Pad

This place was amazing, relaxing, and totally tricked out. The property manager was very helpful when we ran into a few issues with the hot tub and washing machine. The rooms are much larger than they appear on the listing too which was nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cooking gear beyond what you would normally expect from a rental. I would totally recommend this home to anyone.

Impeccably maintained property

Came here for a girls getaway weekend and the whole group was impressed by the amenities this property has to offer. From the easy-going nature of the property manager to the accommodating owners, we felt right at home immediately. The photos of the property don't do this place justice. The house is very spacious and well furnished. The bedrooms were comfortable with quality linens. The Residence and pool area were spotlessly clean. The pool, fire pit area gave us ample space to congregate and have a few laughs. We felt blessed to be able to spend our weekend in such a beautiful property. And the Sonos speaker system was wonderful - we all want one now! Can't wait to return!

Simply Superb

Awesome! This a wonderful house and we certainly hope we can stay there again. Wonderful amenities and very comfortable. Beautiful grounds and well looked after. Very quick responses to any questions we had and booking process was a breeze. Joe met us on arrival was very friendly and gave us a great tour the property and showed us how everything worked. Certainly would recommend this property. Great location, close to El Paseo.

You simply cannot find a better location in the desert. The Mid-Century Modern Citrus Estate is a 3-block walk (5 minutes) to El Paseo, which is the best and most beautiful shopping/dining street in the desert. It is in a quiet, peaceful residential neighborhood, yet it's so close to Starbucks, Saks, Williams-Sonoma, Woofgang Pucks, Mama Gina's and a whole host of other great restaurants and shopping. Plus, the best golf and tennis in the desert is only 5 minutes away by car. We walk up to the mountains to go hiking all the time as well. The Citrus Estate has breathtaking mountain views from the sunny south-facing backyard as well. Once you've stayed at the Citrus Estate, you'll never stay anywhere else!

Terms include acceptance of our Rental Contract which will be sent to the Guest and is required to be returned to the Homeowner fully completed and executed within 7 days of making a reservation.

Minimum age for all renters is 26 years unless children are travelling with parents or grandparents.

Rates include $50/night utility fee.

The Cleaning fee is based on use of one set of linens per bed. If additional linens are used, or if a linen change is made, an additional charge of $75/bed will apply. Excessive use of towels will also incur additional cleaning charges.

"Flat fee" includes rental fee + pool heating/utility fee, but does not include cleaning fee, damage insurance or taxes.

We offer a 10% discount for rentals over 28 days provided that payment is made by cheque, money order, bank draft or direct deposit through our offices. The Palm Desert Rental Rules state that no occupancy tax is payable for stays over 28 days.

Higher rates apply for special events and holidays. Special additional terms are required for Coachella and the Stagecoach Music Festival. We require a $2000 refundable damage deposit. A Coachella/Stagecoach rental contract must be signed before renting during these festivals.

Overseeding discount applies for 2 weeks each fall when the grass is scalped and seeded with winter grass. Guests are not permitted to walk on the grass areas during the over-seeding; grass appears brown for the first 5 days of overseeding.

The $79 damage insurance fee covers accidental damage up to $3000 per stay. It does not cover accidental breakage of umbrellas. If an umbrella is broken, the guest will be charged $400 US for each umbrella broken.
