This historic Spanish home has a full kitchen with all the amenities. The historic PicFair neighborhood is filled with local farmers markets, fantastic restaurants, museums and a quick drive to the best Los Angeles has to offer; including Venice and Santa Monica Beaches, the Staples and Convention Centers, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood; which offer some of the best shopping and dining experiences in the world. A foodies delight! The home has full cable and hi-speed Wifi and 2 super comfy bedrooms with separate baths with full tubs; as well as beautiful common area with a surround sound home theater. But the highlight of the home are the gardens and meditation areas. Landscaped by renowned landscape artist, Matthew Brown, the Bamboo surrounded, private gardens are lush, relaxing and energizing. The Saltio Tiled front porch has a vintage porch swing overlooking the garden and the meditation area has a firepit.

The sweet Picfair neighborhood is a Los Angeles Gem. Great restaurants, including the Famous Sky's Tacos and Bloom are walking distance and the Grove and Farmers Market are a mile up the road.
Easy Train and Bus Access, but the location is central to Hollywood, West Hollywood and the Beaches.

This is such a great space due to the proximity to everything cool in LA and the peaceful quiet. The neighborhood is filled with great restaurants and haunts and is close to the Grove and Museums.
The neighbourhood was really nice and quiet. It was ten or fifteen minutes to EVERYTHING (hollywood, beach, silverlake etc) but on a really nice quiet street with great parking,
The house was bigger than we expected and really comfy. Lindsay and John were both SO SO helpful during our stay.
The garden and hammock are really lovely too. We were really happy!
John and Lindsay are extremely generous with what they provide. The property has internet, cable TV, air conditioning, and a washer and dyer. Desktop computer in the office with guest access privileges with a printer that proved handy for printing tickets to events. Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with dishes, utensils and condiments. There is a nice garden in the front that walls off the property from the neighborhood providing lots of privacy.
The property is close to all attractions in LA.
We had a wonderful stay and would certainly stay here again on our next visit to LA.
My daughter, my husband and I stayed at this home for a week in March of 2016. The home was very cute and well taken care of. The front yard with the porch swing and the hammock was perfect and we spent many an evening with a glass of wine, relaxing in the hammock and watching the huge California squirrels frolic in the trees. As you approach the home, the neighborhood is a bit questionable, but we never felt unsafe. The first day we could not manage to get the TV working and Lindsey was so helpful and nice. She came out herself the following morning to fix it, which we really appreciated. The home was clean and ready for our arrival. Our security deposit was promptly refunded.
The very best thing about the home is its central location. We were never more than a half hour from destinations, even with LA traffic. There are many restaurants close by and several grocery stores within a mile or two. For the price, the location, and the space, you just can't beat it.
A few cons - there is a neighbor that lives in very close proximity, above the home office advertised in the listing. It wasn't really a problem, except for some noise very late one night that woke my husband up, but it is worth noting. The front bedroom could really benefit from some better privacy shades because of this. There is a school right next to the house which did not bother us as it was spring break when we visited, but I can imagine the kids and bells would be heard from the house during the regular school year. We had a lot of trouble with the wifi, but we never restarted it as was suggested in the instructions, so that was probably our fault. Finally, there are no sharp knives nor frying pans in the kitchen which was inconvenient, but we worked around it.
Overall this rental is a very good value. We would highly recommend. Thank you for making our trip to LA worry free.
We fully enjoyed our stay at this home in LA. Lindsay was great and very responsive and available. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at this quiet property in the spring while visiting family. It is in a nice neighborhood at the end of a dead-end street. There was parking available at the end of the street, right next door in a little lot. The very best part of the property was the yard. With tall bamboo and flowering bushes along the sides, you feel completely removed from the bustle of LA. We spent several hours every day just sitting on the porch or laying in the hammock enjoying the tranquility of the front garden. The yard was completely fenced, making it ideal for those traveling with pets.
The house was an older home, but had plenty of room for our family to all sit and talk in the front room. While the weather was quite pleasant most days; the day it got warm, the window air conditioner was able to cool the front room nicely; however, many of the windows did not have screens, making it difficult to cool the bedrooms.
The location was excellent just a few miles from the Grove Shopping Center, centrally located to Venice, Chinatown, USC, etc. The owner was extremely responsive via text. In fact, the first night we misplaced the key to the house and she was able to drop off a replacement within 20 minutes. The security deposit was also refunded quickly upon our return.
When we return to LA, we would definitely consider staying again.
The property was cozy, comfortable, and located in a very tranquil area (even though a school is close to the property). I enjoyed early morning tea on the porch swing. Easy access to nearby restaurants (incl. Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles just 2 min. away), downtown Staple's Center and beach areas. The front bedroom should have a pull down shade in addition to the shear curtains. Overall...an excellent get-a-way! (smile)
Was a good option for a family gathering with adult kids. Nice house, comfortable, easy parking, quiet...met expectations. Loved the outdoor space. Manager was responsive to emergency, even on Christmas. We ate in a lot, better cookware would have been a plus. Uneven floor levels were a concern, especially in first bedroom, nearly fell.
