While on Spring break with our family, we fell in love with this quaint, little town and beautiful one of a kind cabin in the woods. We are amazed at the wildlife including deer, elk, squirrels and even the occasional javelina that we are treated to on a regular basis right off the deck. With so much to do outside, we are never at a loss for things to do. Hiking the Tonto Natural Bridge in the spring with the trees in full pink bloom is absolutely gorgeous. We love the Rim, quading and hiking as well as the small-town charm of Pine.
Connie Cooperrider purchased this cabin in 2013
Sleeping up to 16 people, there are so many possibilities for different groups of people to enjoy this amazingly beautiful cabin. Just pack your personal belongings and food and everything you need is waiting for you to enjoy.
My family of 8 had the great fortune to stay at this beautiful cabin for 3 nights to start out our spring break. It had wonderful amenities and plenty of room for the teenagers to "have their space" but still enjoy family time. The decor is amazing, the kitchen has everything you need to cook most any meal. The location is close to really great hiking trails. There are lovely local restaurants and businesses a very short drive away. We had an entire herd of elk right off the deck one afternoon and saw deer cross the property daily. The owner was easy to interact with. All ages agreed that this was a fantastic family vacation. We will definitely rent this cabin in the future!
We had a wonderful experience at the cabin this weekend. The cabin itself is beautiful and had all the amenities. From the fire pit outside the deck that wrapped around the outside, the fireplace inside, pool table and tons of games there was something for everyone. The kitchen was huge and had everything we needed to cook for 12 people. We woke up each morning to deer around the property which was fun to see. Connie the owner was great to work with. She was easily accessible for questions and gave us everything we needed to check in and out. We will definitely consider staying here again.
We spent a very nice time in this cabin. All features and stuffs were found as mentioned in description. Connie is a very nice guy and he responded my every text immediately. I would love to book this cabin for my next camping in future.
Out stay was very enjoyable. The cabin was very nice. Owners were great about answering questions and providing information prior to our stay. The grand kids loved all the stairs, lofts and basement bedrooms. We grand parents didn't like the stairs quite so much. Plenty of room and, especially, bathrooms for all 14 of us. Everything was clean and ready to use except for a few very minor issues with things not in perfect working condition but nothing to hamper our fun and enjoyment of the cabin.
The multiple TVs and the DVD collection were good at keeping kids entertained during the rainy periods. Labels on the multitude of light and fan switches were very helpful. Don't expect to have a serious game of pool. The table is smaller and the walls to close - but that didn't keep us from enjoying it. The dog kennel, though we didn't use it this time, is great, lots of room for a couple dogs. Next time we'll consider bringing our dog.
The weather was great, including a big hail and rain storm as we arrived (normal for monsoon season ), especially with the grand kids yelling, "It's raining ice." The deer (1 doe and 1 buck) and 1 bull elk in the yard were exciting for everyone. We made use of the outside patio and deck tables and chairs, eating several meals outside while enjoying the great weather. We enjoyed all the antique stores in Payson and Pine. With all that and a few trips to the nearby forest, creeks and rivers it was just what we wanted.
We definitely recommend this property for nice retreat with the family.
The cabin is beautiful and comfortable! We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it.
We stayed at this beautiful cabin for a girls weekend and were very comfortable. The decor is tasteful and elegant. There are lots of rooms to spread out in and very comfortable living spaces for visiting and playing games. The kitchen has everything you'll need to cook most meals. The outdoor patio is spacious and sits right in the pines where you can enjoy the deer and wildlife in peace and quiet. Close to outdoor activities including many hikes. The owner was accommodating and very easy to work with. We look forward to returning to this cabin again and again!
A short five minute drive to hike the beautiful Tonto Natural Bridge. Enjoy beautiful Fossil Creek just a short drive to the north.
